I was a serious Pandora addict for close to 4 years now, and for years fought with its limitations; especially getting a VPN just to listen to Pandora outside US, and not being able to listen to a specific artist ONLY when creating a station, or adding variety at will of artists I want.

With a list of "playing next" queues I can modify, MOG is TRULY UNRESTRICTED RADIO. I can even choose an artist, and listen to every entire album made by just that artist!!

It even lets you download songs to your Ipod/Iphone to listen later, and as paid member, you can share your songs on twitter and let your friends listen in on your station for Free!!

I'm not sure how it doesn't get shutdown. I'm in Argentina, I'm actually not sure if it works in the states.

Spotify recently went live in the US - http://www.spotify.com - love it. I've found almost every track I look for there, even some obscure stuff. If you're a paid member you can use it while traveling too.

Naaah man, MOG blows spotify OUT THE WATER with a ton of functionality exclusive for IPhone, Roku and Mac users!! (Yeah, I've used spotify too).

This really is the best for streaming music on demand. Technically, you can't download any songs. You can just access them by computer, iphone, or ipod touch. Another reason why I'm grabbing the new iphone 5 in October from Sprint with UNLIMITED DATA PACKAGE.

I am with AT&T, and I have unlimited data plan; only NEW iphone customers have the 2GB limit imposed on them.

Customers that that have been with ATT since the first iPhone 2g release have unlimited data plans. I easily uses 10gb a month on my iPhone, I used 12GB in Sept. =•)

Keep in mind that you cannot use Sprint/Verizon iPhones outside USA with local operators; unlike unlocked GSM iPhones.

True about long-time AT&T customers having unlimited data. Personally, I've never owned an iphone so that's not really an option. At 10gb a month, the cost would be $80 just for data on Verizon; basically a $200+ cell phone bill for unlimited minutes, texts, data.

It looks like T-Mobile may end up getting the iphone 5 as well.

Yup. MOG is the shit. I have even deleted the Pandora apps from my iphone and macbook pro.

I even canceled my Sirius subscrition on my car. I just use MOG via Bluetooth on my car, and have whatever I want to hear.

Example:

I was on a date with a girl, and as we got in the car, I asked her...what song do you want to hear?

She replied: "I don't think you'll have the music I like...."
Mixx: "You'll be surprised at all the music I listen to and have on my iphone..so what do you want to hear?"
Girl:"Well, I doubt you have it, but I really love that song by Rihanna called "Skin"..

Pandora and Last FM are pretty weak. I use Spotify. You can get a free version with commercials or it's $5/month if you want to use it commercial free and on your phone. I listen to a lot of really obscure metal bands and the selection Spotify offers is surprisingly large. I'm rarely disappointed unless I want to listen to a band on Century Media or Metal Blade.

I couldn't decide between mog and rdio. I think with rdio you can have a bit of social interaction with other users thru music?

Have you any experience with rdio? Does mog have playlist management? I was addicted to that pandora whore too.

RDIO and MOG are extremely similar, including the social interaction with others. However, I have not used RDIO to give you my personal opinion.

my fav is last.fm - I never hear anyone talking about it but it's the shit if you're into learning about artists, musical movements, labels etc...it's like pandora only smarter
