One of the biggest issues about the border "crisis" in Canada is that it takes forever to deport the failed claimants and costs taxpayers a shit ton of money to do so. Just a couple of weeks ago there was a big story about a Nigerian guy who died in the Calgary airport as he fought off border guards and RCMP who were trying to get him on a plane. Who knows how much more money it will cost us in health care, language learning, welfare payments, etc. Of course many of them won't show up to their refugee claim hearings like the Nigerian guy and that will cost us a ton more in resources.

Then we have our dick head politicians lecturing us that Canada has to take these people in and we're not protected from what's going on around the world:

It's not quite the top notch discussion (some great points have been made), however it's been discussed plenty of times, and it's always the same assumptions on both sides, minorities for open borders who hate white people, and white nationalists who want civil war on the right.

If you feel stupid because of some slight ribbing, then obviously you have thin skin, and probably aren't on the right forum.

realologist is right in pointing out that shit ALWAYS ends up turning toxic, and it's not a wonder alot of senior posters are just over it and stick to certain sub forums, or even better they meet up in person and have great discussions about it.

I know this'll sound a bit crazy, but it would not surprise me if we saw Chinese landownership skyrocket somewhere in Africa and then see that land annexed by China on the grounds that most of the population is now Chinese and it is, therefore, Chinese government property since China doesn't allow people to own land. I'd put a cap on the # of Chinese people who were able to purchase houses in a given city, country, county or whatever.

If Canada had a set of balls they'd heavily scrutinize Chinese land acquisitions in Canada and tighten the restrictions on other migrant groups. No one gets a pass for being "one of the good ones" in Fortisland.

That's intellectually dishonest.

There are that many accounts that have been created. The vast majority of them are spam accounts that never get used, or they were only used briefly and abandoned, or they are banned members or members that have gone their own way.

While it's true that doc holliday may not speak for the majority of forum members, it's basically impossible to know if he does or doesn't based on quoting the number of accounts created.

In my experience the majority of the highly repped and significant contributors to the forum, what I'd call the backbone of the forum, are sick and tired of the nonsense, low value posts that have flooded the forum in recent times.
