Girls in Chisinau,. It´s almost better than Ukraine. Ridiculous. What can I say? God made those girls to be f*cked by Americans.

Moldovan Girls:

What average Ivy girls (read: girls at my school) look like:

I hate my life.

Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.

I have been going to moldova since 2003 and stayed there for periods of time ranging from 3 months to 1 year.In my opinion,Lostgringo post describes Chisinau in 2003-2005.In those years a foreigner still had the foreign-God factor on his side.Moldovan women were very poor, visa regulations for moldovans willing to leave were very strict, and visiting western foreigners were still few.
But boy have things changed since!!
1)Rumania has entered the EU and has offeres rumanian citizenship to over 1 million moldovans.
2)the USA has set up a work-travel program for moldovan students(mainly women),making it very easy for any moldovan to go to the USA for 4 months. Most of them stay on illegaly or marry an american to get residency there.I saw a moldovan TV program that showed only 20% of them return .Strooling the streets of chisinau , one can see dozens of these agencies advertising these work-travel programs.
3)All these moldavians abroad send shitloads of money every year, visibly raising the standard of living of the population.
The point is that being a european or american in moldova is not a big deal anymore!!

This is exactly how I was able to meet the Smoking Hot 19 year old Moldovan Girl I ended up having a steamy summer fling with a few years ago. She overstayed her Visa and hasn't went back either and initially wanted to move in with me shortly before her 4 month Visa was going to expire.

This is not an unexplored sex destination by any means. All you have to do is walk in the city center to notice the abundance of italians and turks.Same deal in the bars and clubs. They have spoiled the "pay for sex" situation by offering the girls much bigger amounts that what they were used to.And since they approach virtually anyone with a skirt, they have spoiled the "normal girl" scene as well.
You will also be surprised by the amount of moldovan guys driving luxury cars and flashing money in the clubs.A whole generation of moldovan wheeler and dealers have got their hands on some big money and dont waste an occasion to show it.An example of that:It is the custom when going to a club to "buy" a table since seating in a table is not free in a moldovan club.Years ago they cost $5-1 ..now: $50 and up.Before they were taken mostly by foreigners and the moldovan men were mostly standing by the bar area. Now , it is the complete opposite. And you will be shocked by what is being ordered at those tables: bottles of expensive vodka or whisky, food, flowers, cigars, etc. The moldovan guys relax(they rarely dance) in those lavishly decorated tables and the sexy girls in their party dance near the table.
So the pretty girls are being spoiled by both the foreigners and the rich moldovans ,making a score with a 9 or a 10 almost impossible, unless you are ready to make a huge hole in your bank account( they are not satisfied by low-cost presents).
Also,i have been noticing a growing xenophobia, most certainly due to the ever growing number of sex-starved tourists.

Since you guys have been there tons, can you break down some answers to these questions:

Which is the best neighborhood to stay in? (in regards to day life and nightlife)

What time do bars close?

Can you smoke in Bars?

Which airline is best to fly in?

"500 euro will get you a very nice apartment in the center." Is that for a month?

"Completely safe." No beef at all from the "organized guys"?

Which nightclubs are best on which nights?

Best hotels?

Etc

Solid data.

I was in Chisinau myself for 3 days during a snowy February.

Not much to do, it's not pretty, but I actually had a blast here. The girls are very cute, and I will confirm they are quite friendly. English is spoken by many. From my experience I agree with what theduke said. Similar sexual attitudes to Ukraine. I had three dates in the three days while I was there. I would have loved to stay longer as I wasn't done. I count myself lucky I got the flag on day 2. Certainly having some Russian was a factor in that.

I'd get there quick before it starts to become popular.

@Gmanifesto: It's very safe and you can smoke in the bars [Image: smile.gif]

All I can tell you is what I see/experience. I'm not going to argue about the minutea of "you should have been here last year". Yes, I hear that there are many Italians and Turks working this place over, but for me they are no competition - same as Kiev. The mafia guys - shit I've been drinking with them. They are cool. Corruption works for me. That said, the disparity of the new rich and the other 90% is disgusting to an egalitarian such as me. Hard to see some young prick in his Porsche driving by a sad, old pensioner selling walnuts on the corner. The world is a fucked up place.......humans are shit.

A little background. I'm an ex-fighter pilot (F-4 mostly) with an ego to match. Went to college on a D-1 hockey ride and would be retired NHL millionaire if were not for being slow and bad hands -). Now driving a Boeing and trying to stay awake flying trash around the planet. Call sign "Jackhammer". I don't worry about Italians and Turks. If an ugly dude who can't get laid in fucking Turkey takes your place in line in Chisinau - kill yourself and save the planet.

I drove one of the first non-Russkie airplanes into the Soviet far-east in '91 and I KNOW what the gig was like back then in Kharbarovsk and Vladivostok. It was an epic-once-in-a-lifetime fuckfest. BUT - the KGB fucks kept most of the girls away so it was a crime. Chisinau is NOT that kind of gig. This place is certainly developing a healthy local economy and enterprising people are cashing in. They are hip, in tune and working it here. Yes, the visa rules have relaxed and more locals are heading to the west for work. However, in my world view, this is about the best I've seen for some time.

Make no mistake, this place is quite limited. It's ugly and dirty. But one walk down the main drag at 6PM will make it all good. I would probably get bored here after a while. But, then I would take my latest girlfriend to Turkey for a couple of weeks.

Bar hours. Its a bit early. 3-4AM. After hours gigs are there if you make some contacts.

Smoking. Where ever, when ever you want. This is the most smoking friendly place I've ever been. I don't, but it doesn't bother me. Chicks who smoke........fuck.

Airlines. Limited. But this helps keep the idiots away. Hit Expedia. LH, from MUC, Austrian from VIE, Turkish from Istanbul, Air Moldova from multiple points.

Dress. Casual. Suits will present you as mafia. Could be a benefit?

Awesome quote. Funny as fuck. But all kidding aside, part of the point of going to Moldova is to change the rules of the game. I could see a decent-looking, rich Turk giving us some competition.

Maybe this helps us. The poor (regular folk) see the lifestyle of the rich. They see it up-close. They have an idea of what being rich might be like. When they look as us, they might hope we'll provide them with that lifestyle.

Great report, makes me curious. I just read this on wikitravel:

Watch out about night life: the U.S. State Department warns about Russian dating schemes also very common in Moldova and other kind of financial scams. Most women in night clubs are not just professionals but also scammers.

So, is there a large percentage of pros or semi-pros, or is that no real issue?

I have not seen, or been approached by a pro in the time I've been here. I'm actually somewhat surprised by this. Where are the hookers?

I have heard about some disturbing scams; guys shags girl - girls leaves and returns in 30 minutes with police, claiming she was raped. $2000usd is paid to "victim" and police.

Beats getting "scop'ed" in Bogota I guess.......

Perhaps. More likely I think that the local rich get the 10's and the best of us visitors compete for the rest.....which is pretty fucking good. I'll take my chances against a fat, ugly, smelly Italian or Turk any day of the week.

I have been to Istambul and seen the show in the hip resto's along the Bosphorus. A rich Turkish dude likely has a wife and a very hot mistress to boot. He's probably too busy blasting around in his AMG with his (very hot) mistress to be bothered with a dumpster called "Kish'E'Now"....in my opinion. But what the fuck do I know?

Take a look at this clip. This clip will problaby give you an insight of how ORDINARY girls may look like in Chisinau

For the sake of it. Watch the whole clip.

God Bless Stalin!

I saw some nice chics walking by, but to be honest, I see much more just here in Los Angeles. I was at this street festival in Venice today and I have never seen so many stunners in this city in my life. There was this chic that walked by that could've passed for Adriana Lima's sister. It would've blown away this video if I had a camcorder out like this guy.

On a sidenote, I'm actually hosting a girl from Latvia right now from couchsurfing. I'm thoroughly impressed at just how accurate the reports are that you guys leave. I was asking this girl to really break down the scene over there in Riga and it is 100% accurate with what you guys have been saying all along. She talked about how many women are blond and attractive, how there's way more girls than guys, how the guys are ugly and don't care about the way they look. How women live longer than men which throws off the ratios, she said they can be violent and fight a lot. She said how the women put on dresses and high heels just to pick up something from the store. I pretended like I hadn't heard any of this before so I'd start asking "why is that?" And yeah she said because the competition for men is so stiff that they have no choice but to be pretty at all times. And how they go to great lengths to keep them if they have one. She said half the women there are trying to get the hell out of Latvia.

This is Riga:

Lost Gringo - I like your style bro!
Not sure what it is but certain posters love to post negative comments and rain on someone else's parade.
I am starting to think that certain posters hate to hear American dudes doing well in certain parts of the world.

Most guys I know would not even know Moldova was a country and never mind finding it on a map. Italian men have been all over Europe for many years, all over the world if the truth be known. They are some of the lamest mofo's I have ever met!

We slept in the car in the countryside for Moldova as we did for 5 nights a week for the whole trip, so I can't really help you there (gypsy style, my gf's idea). I was about to go there right now, and I imagine apartments are the best option just like it is anywhere in eastern europe. I'd say be careful of location and stick near the center. What worked for me in Krakow, Poland was mass e-mailing every apartment provider I could find.

I've debated heavily where to live, and ultimately, not sure I want to put up with 3rd world corruption and lack of English. I've lived in India doing business as well as Ecuador and I think I the optimum zone for me so somewhere in the middle.

I think Roosh is wise to invest in Poland rather than go further east. While I think the women are more stunning in Ukraine and Moldova, Poland feels a lot more like Europe. If you're an attractive guy, you could simply avoid the butter faces and get your top notch girl here as Polish girls are clearly open for something different.

I just did a quick trip back to the states to pick up my stuff to move back to Krakow, Poland. This forum had almost convinced me that Ukraine was better, but when I stepped out of the airport, I realized the magic of Poland. There are enough very attractive women here, AND they are interested in foreigners. I get a crazy amount of IOIs here (not talking about blatant stares that I used to get in India).

Anyway, this thread is about Moldova. My plan is to setup base here and then travel around the region including Moldova. That country is seared in my head and you know its good when your ex-GF brings up those dagger eyes if you bring up Moldova and it's women.

So wtf are you trying to say? That Romanian/Moldovian are etnically more hotter than Romanians/Moldavians in Romania? That´s stupidity. Hot Moldovian girls are etnically 90% Russian and Ucrainians. The fugly ones are etnically Romanians/Moldavians.

Otherwise, Bucharest would have been equally hot-spot like Chisinau.

Hey, if your going to insult me, at least use the spell check and take a few moments to read up on the place - try the CIA country report. I responded to your quote, which was not correct. While certainly a subjective opinion, you are also wrong about Bucharesti. It is a hot-spot, at least for me.

Its pure hit and miss on the language. My opener is "English?", with a big smile. The young people are picking it up fast. They are very nice people and make an effort. Even if these girls are not available, or not interested, they are nice about it. I've met some very cool people, including a group of Palestinian medical students. These guys are hardened as steel when it comes to getting treated like shit by women in Europa and USA. These guys rave about how nice the women are to them.
