Are there easier ways to get physical cash from banks?

I'm wondering if this is the trend towards "security" and monitoring of transactions but I find the bank regulations (or claims of them) or unbelievably restrictive when it comes to not only getting cash from ATMs or withdrawals in person, but even bank to bank transfers. It's like we're living in the 70s and they think a dollar hasn't been inflated by 3.2x (since 1980).

Have any of you thought about this? I've been at some banks, and it's a task to just get 2-3k in cash out of your account. At other times, no problem asking for $6k. I've never really tried anything higher than that due to approaching 10 or a CTR

I find this predictable, but still weird.

Are you moving more than 10k in cash a week or a month in aggregate?

Do you live in a low income area?

$2k-4k is a very common amount for counterfeit checkers.

Yup.
I've read in the US the banks have alerts for large sums for withdraws and deposits.
10k is when the feds are alerted, do that a couple of times and you'll get a visit from some guys in suits.
Then they added in alerts for under 10k but totaling a certain amount within a small time frame and/or periodic transactions just under 10k.
It's there to catch drug dealers or mainly just people involved with illegal businesses.

Banks are an absolute pain in the ass for everything. You'd think moving money in this day and age should be as easy as sending emails, but no. Fortunately we now have cryptos. I've been living mostly from online purchases using Dash over the past year, it's pretty effective.

In Switzerland the limit on my bank account is that you can’t withdraw more than 5k A DAY.

I’m not doing this by any means but the way it is here is that people don’t bat an eyelid if you take out large sums of your own cash.

I remember how it used to be in my former country, the assumption is that anyone is dealing with cash is laundering or a drug dealer.

My brother still only deals in cash and regularly walks about with a couple of grand in his pocket.

How to get large sums of physical money out of a bank? We've got a forum member for that.

Other than that, yes. Making cash transactions more restrictive is kind of the point. Zel can cover these points for you, but it boils down to control of cash flows, taxation, and big brother. [Image: tinfoilhat.gif]

I know someone who works for a regional bank who looks for fraud (at least one part of this person's job).

My friend said if you're doing something illicit, you're better off doing over $10k. The bank internal reviews look a lot more at multiple amounts just under $10,000 because people don't want to fill out the fed paperwork.

My guess is, either way the bank has review processes for this I'm sure.

I'm always annoyed by the foot soldiers who do the bidding of the masters for really no good reason. What are they going to get, a thumbs up or a raise? It seems like (I could be paranoid) they always ask questions too for no reason, as if to fish.

What if I take out a few k to gamble at the casino, and lose? Then I do it the next week. Is that against the law? LOL, that's the kind of shit I'm talking about.

I don't know any other country than Turkey which doesn't bust your balls for taking huge amounts in cash.
