5 nights a week! Thats crazy. I'll try to focus my energy on the weekend and be fresh during the week for work.

I agree that i'm learning allot about talking and making rapport with people during work ( i sell new cars in showroom). It's kind of like game but not exactly the same.

You need to learn how to Power Nap.

Drew Brees, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and tons of CEOs/Executives do this. I do it and have been doing it for years. Check out this list of incredible men in history that did the same thing here. Some people do this to such a science that they only sleep 3 hours at night. I do not recommend that unless you really know what you are doing.

There is a reason why these men work the insane amount of hours or have these insane training regiments.

Also, you need to learn how to sleep on sleep cycles. 1.5 hours is better than 2 hours of sleep for example.

For every person like President Trump or Obama sleeping only 5 hours a day, the vast majority of the world cannot operate like that at an optimum level. It will catch up to you and give you testosterone wrecking conditions like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, high amounts of cortisol in your body, diminished cognitive function, etc.

When I used to go out clubbin whatever amounts of time per week, I worked a 7-4 schedule. Came home around 5 or 5:30. Took a nap for 1.5 hours or 3, took care of things around the house or errands, left the house around 8-9 to pre-club meet up with the fellas (play xbox, cards, listen to music and talk shit to each other usually) then we would roll up to the club around 9 or 10pm depending on how long dudes be bullshitting or they want to smoke weed before we go up to the door.

Everyone else is dragging ass by 1AM. Me? Nope. Felt good until about 4AM. If I drank heavy I would be dragging ass by 3, which I only did if I knew I wasn't pulling shit that night. Still pretty good all things considered.

There are some good books out there on Powernapping. Powernapping can prevent jetlag too.

Thats pretty interesting too. I come back from work at 6:30pm, then i can sleep for 1.5/3 hours. Go to the club and stay late. Sleep for 6 hours and be fresh the next day. I'll give it a try!

Learning how to go out, get fucked up, and turn up to work the next morning - every day, if required - for work, pussy, whatever is an important part of being a man.

When I started on Wall Street, guys in their 20s were expected to be able to go out all the time, drinking with clients / models / strippers, and then report for work AT 7:30am, prepared to spend the days like nothing had transpired the night before. It's worse in Asia.

My advice, drink vodka or white wine. Have your carbs with dinner and a little at breakfast.

It helps to do something like weights the next morning before you go to work. (Yes, you can go the the gym slightly buzzed and with no sleep.)

Don't feel too bad about that. Someone has to be at the office at 5 and 6PM while the early folks take off. Usually that is because those who know better, know not to work later because that is the main time when someone from high up or the directors realize something is fucked up and they come stomping down the hallway looking for a throat to choke. 4PM? Time to go get my kids, fuck this! Even if that is a lie, I'd rather beat the traffic and still have enough time to run and errand or relax.

Maybe you are just young and still paying your dues. You will figure out what works best for you.

Cosign on the top part. I don't recommend working out buzzed like that though. If you do that, get on a treadmill I guess.

Trying to function on 3 hours sleep a night regularly is a terrible idea. Sleep deprivation absolutely destroys your mental function, so you'll be awful at your job. And it also fucks your body up really badly - you'll put on fat rapidly, and be far more prone to developing cancer and diabetes. And you'll age facially far, far more quickly than otherwise if you get into the habit of doing it regularly. There are loads of peer reviewed academic studies on all of these effects. Its really one of the worst things you can do to your health.

I agree with the other posters - go out earlier. If you're hitting on girls at happy hours, or on dates at 8pm, you should be in bed before midnight pretty easily. Just be disciplined and keep to a schedule.

If you can do it sober it will help massively also, but adjusting to that is harder than moving your schedule forward a few hours.

Agreed: I was in a profession for a few years in my 20's that was not only physical but also psychological. I felt your pain as I need to be up a few hours earlier than you 5 - 6 days per week. (it was a drag for sure) If a went more than a few weeks or months really hard my temperament became awful and with the drop of a pen I sometimes had to fight not to become violent.

We actually went through sleep deprivation training + were tested psychologically after. Not only that I was in my early and mid 20's at peak health surrounded by other guys also at peak physical health.

We all partied pretty hard and tested the limits. I don't remember anyone lasting months doing this.

Shit: I remember mentally starting to crack by mid week after a insane weekend just trying to keep up.

What I can say is living on 3 - 5 hours a sleep per 24 hours long term for years is very possible with good health & genetics + being younger age as I've personally done it and known many others who have as well.

I doubt it would have been possible if I had accompanied it with alcohol every night. You would need some serious illegal substances to accomplish this and I'm sure you'd feel the health repercussions later in age even if you calmed down by your early to mid 30's.

By age 27 I was maxed out and needed to take another path but knew some to last till 30+ (barely)
