Sure there's $800 - $1,000 studios on Airbnb in Taipei but these places often lack a kitchen and look old.

Thing is I am wealthy enough to not have to go to Thailand unless Taiwan ends up being disappointing. My understanding of Thai women is many are prostitutes, you might run into ladyboys and scammers. It's also a moderate crime society too and I don't like being in those sort of places for extended periods of time.

Well, that is true - Taipei is smaller and is also a fully developed city. You won't have the whole semi-hotel thing you get in SEA from AirBnb.

I don't think Thailand is all like that dude, just some parts of Bangkok. Thailand gets a bad wrap for being hoe central, but it's only like that in touristy/expat areas.

I think Taiwan, with exceptions of Mongolia or Pacific Islands, probably has the smallest group of western expats.

Taiwan isn't really known for beaches (but they do exist on the east and south coast) so that discourages a lot of white tourists.


Taiwan is arguably what other Asian countries used to be like maybe 20 years ago but eventually Taiwan will get "discovered" by more people and consequently ruined.

I think I did ok in South Korea (9 FWBs over 6 months) but my experience in Japan was poor and others said they had a hard time getting women in Korea (because Korea probably has 15,000 E-2 English teacher white men and another 50,000 - 150,000 white males who live primarily in Seoul and Busan. Never mind all the military guys. So the more white guys in a country then the harder it is to find women who have a bucket list like screw a white guy or date a white guy).

I'm not sure if I'd go that far as to say that Taiwan has less expats than other places. Taiwan has a very easy ESL market to break into which alone will give it expats.

You also have to consider the size of the country. Indonesia for example might have a lot of talk on this board - but it's mainly about Jakarta - outside of Jakarta and Bali (and some other small islands like Komodo) Indonesia does not have a lot of expats or tourists.


Taiwan is relatively undiscovered compared to Japan and Korea, Taipei is basically like a 2nd tier city compared to Seoul or Tokyo. You'll find more expats in Taiwan than in most cities in China I reckon when you get away from the tier 1 places.

Here in Taipei, I never did much Daygame but have pulled a bit through it more so spontaneously over the years. There's some decent parks or shopping areas (Ximen, Taipei Main Q Square, Dunhua, Xinyi Shopping area) which have a lot of great quality at times. Also it'd be wise to take note with all the recent news which continue to paint foreigners in a negative light here (Typical yellow washed media, I know) it'd be good to be sensible with day game.

Agree with this. However, the expat scene in Taiwan is still a little limited when it comes to non-teaching expats, I rarely meet other expats here in the same field I'm in.

Given the size and global interaction of the economy compared to Japan or Korea it makes sense.

In terms of apartments, there's some luxury ones with pools, sauna, KTV rooms built in they would probably cost around ~1200-1500+ USD in Taipei per month based on location. I haven't really been that impressed with the general impression of apartments here in Taipei compared to other cities in Asia.

Also, HK, SG could be good for Day game too given the ease of getting around and concentration people. But I've primarily focused on night game in those cities.

South Korea's E-2 visa is around 30,000 people (and majority female). Not everyone on the E-2 visa is a white person (many are Asian, Latino and Black American).

So it's probably just 10,000 white male English teachers in South Korea. That's hardly a drop in the bucket in terms of finding local sluts with a white fetish.

So Korea isn't all that bad for a white guy.

I'm not sure why Korea has such a bad reputation on Rooshv. I did well but I was in an university area without other white men to compete with me. Maybe if I lived in Itaewon or Pyeongtak (areas with too many white tourists or white military guys) then perhaps I could had been a near-incel?


I imagine it must be the same in Taiwan. Except in Taiwan it's probably like 5,000 white men teaching English there (the English market is smaller!) and there's no U.S. military hillbillies or Kpop bros either.

Still if anyone is living in Taiwan long term it could be interesting if you tried living in the 2nd tier cities near universities and seeing if that improves your day game results (because of fewer competing white men). Thing is based of what I've seen on Tinder in Taipei I feel like I would be super lazy and wouldn't do anything but online game.
