Watched most of new content form youtube and read everything on forum.
Keeping up with the stuff. Things are becoming relatively repetitive everywhere from TRP on reddit to YouTube red pill channels, etc....
I agree. But what are examples of new stuff you've learnt then?
Some of the huge epiphanies that I had are as follows.
Really they are just small thoughts, but over time they really make my reality and philosophies concrete.
1. One of my venture capital / entrepreneur class had a speaker doing 8 figures in sales. The guy was doing a cleaning service inside of building, but the money that he was making was respectable. He had a lot of setbacks.
For example, his business partner lied to him that everything was fine when he was into heavy drinking, doing drugs, in massive debt...The entrepreneur didn't vet the guy well enough initially. He said that was his biggest mistake and he should have vetted him more. Another mistake is not hiring the "right" people and new employees have lied to his face and have stole 100k, 250k from his business and many other smaller frauds.
He now spends at least 30minutes interviewing a new employee himself and spends 3 months for branch managers.
2. Realizing that the guy that I thought was super popular and had "game" only had 12~15 lays. I thought this dude had 50+ lays because of the social proof and pre-selection he was displaying in class and on social media.
- Realizing that around 10~20 lays before graduating college is putting yourself in the top 20%...
3. Standing up for myself.
a. Teacher put me in a group of 4 people. I told her straight up during class when she was explaining the project that this is unfair because other groups have 5 people and this means that my group members have to put in more effort/time compared to other members in different groups.
*She made it easier on us for grading.
b. This dude cut me in the cafeteria line. Got food. I told him straight up.
"Hey, man. Don't cut in front of me. You can't do that."
He tries to BS the situation, "I am not cutting you, I was just about to get some of this dish."
Me: "Yeah, dude same shit. I push his shoulder and he almost hit the woman next to him who was couple feet away." <- I don't recommend doing this tbh, but he came back to me and apologized couple times.
4. Really thinking that logistics, status, money is FUCKING EVERYTHING.
ex. Tai Lopez, Hugh Hefner, Dan Bilzerian, Lunatic Living, Vegas Dave, Leonardo Dicaprio, RSD Luke...
You name it. You want that 9s and 10s consistently? You gotta have the status, money and a baller house...
I was pretty delusional, but really cementing this FACT to my brain this quarter and changed my philosophy early last year.
(If anybody disagrees, that's cool. You do you.)
5. Humility comes naturally when you have self-confidence because you don't have to prove anything to anyone.
6. Recession is coming within next few years. We didn't have a huge hit since 2008 and normally a recession comes around every 5~10 years.
Reframe this situation from negative to positive. Time to buy low, sell high.
7. Professors are professors because they are not risk-takers and suck at actually doing the job. They tend to have bad social skills compare to others, they would not have made partners at a accounting firm, investment banking firm or a law firm. Most of them are insecure, too self-conscious, weak-minded. I am starting to see through their veil. If they know everything, they would have went out and actually made a successful business. Theory =/= Experience.
8. If you are bitter from approaching a lot, take some time from gaming.
It will reduce your bitterness and improve your game actually when you come back. You can also just approach girls who give you iois or approach invitations.
9. "Friends are waste of time."
- Ben Shapiro
10. "I never took a day off in my 20s. Not one."
- Bill Gates
11. "It's okay to fake it till you make it if you actually make it"
12. When people say that you are over-analyzing things, it's actually themselves projecting that they are almost sociopath and they don't understand the small nuances of social dynamics. Drop those guys from your social circle. Bad vibes.
13. 2003~2013. 70% of fortune 1000 companies have either been acquired, merged or most of them just died. Calibrating to the market, following the customer's demand is SUPER IMPORTANT. Same thing when gaming. Calibrate to the girl.
14. Jeff Bezos put in a quarter mil into Google in 1998. Now that is worth 3 bil.
15. People should be open-minded, but being too open-minded can hurt you as you don't have your own self-identity and philosophies. It's like a parachute, it should be opened, but if it opens all the way, it won't capture the air, you will fall to the ground and die.
- Grant Cardone
16. "When people say that they love working for their company that they are in, it's BS because if they actually loved it, they would work for free."
- Phd in Management professor. LOL.
17. Don't listen to someone's advice when they don't have to face the consequences.
- Mark Cuban
18. Elon Musks company, Tesla was actually found couple decades ago. He is looking 20, 30+ years into the future.
Not sure how much business knowledge you have, but just a lot of business epiphanies and nuances, but those are some general thoughts that I have in my notes from Q1 of 2018. Just my 2c.
"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."
- Heat
"That's the difference between you and me. You wanna lose small, I wanna win big."
