The (((americans and allies))) killed millions of civilian germans, women and children, by starvation and freezing to death, in actual concentration camps with no sanitation or protection against the elements.

And let no one ever forget the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff in 1945. It was a German refugee ship overloaded with civilians trying to flee the Red Army's advancement. Sunk by a Soviet submarine commanded by an alcoholic who was previously being court martialed for his drinking. The commander was posthumously awarded "Hero of the Soviet Union" in 1990.There is a submarine museum in St Petersburg that til this day is named after the commander.
"The A.I. Marinesko Museum of the History of Russian Submarine Forces".

Talk about a war crime. The Gustloff til this day is the greatest loss of life at sea in history with an estimated 9000 killed. Refugees trying to escape rape, pillage, and murder at the hands of the soviet savages. Completely swept under the rug. The sub crew and its commander recognized as heroes. I don't know about anyone else but I sure as hell never learned about this in school. Conveniantly scrubbed from the history books down the memory hole.

Most biased comment in this thread. As if the Nazis where not savage in the way they dealt with the soviet population on both their advance and retreat, in places like Belarus many villages where totally annihilated. This kind of savagery is unheard regarding Soviet troops.

Marinesko (btw son of a Romanian father and Ukranian mother) was the most successful Soviet submarine commander if measured by sunk tonnage, and a month later after sinking Wilhelm Gustloff, they sink Steuben, who was another transport ship, but this time full of military personnel...

Alcoholic or not he was good at his job. George Best was also an alcoholic and is the best football player ever...

Nazi's where Muslim lovers and the biggest killers of white people ever. Fuck them!

Your comment reminds me this..

Sovjets had killed at least 4 million white people before WW2 even began.

Does not matter. You can be grey, blue, yellow or green. Not only black and white exist in this world of ours.

It's more like 40 million than 4 million Nomad, most of the 65 million killed happened before the War.

911 I think it's you thats throwing out trops and narratives lol

Everyone knows the USA is "evil" even when defeating Japan during WW2

It's not at all common knowledge that pilots and airmen risked their lives to fly over enemy cannons to drop 100s of thousands of leaflets warning the Japanese people.

I don't get caught up taking sides, history is what it is. And what it is is often quite different from what we;ve been told it is.

War crimes were committed on both sides. The difference between Japanese war crimes, like the Rape of Nanjing, was that those were committed by the rank and file, whereas Dresden, Nagasaki and the postwar Eisenhower concentration camps were decisions taken at the top and were far more compartmentalized.

Bombing Japan had become a very low-risk operation by the summer of 1945, the US had achieved complete air superiority. Boxes of B-29 Superforteress with an operational ceiling of 30,000' were mostly invulnerable to flak or the rare Zero that managed to get through their escort.

Japan was running out of fuel and other vital resources with their navy obliterated, their jet fighter program was a lot more marginal than Germanys, and the US had overwhelming industrial superiority and numbers in the sky. Total air superiority, every runway, every fuel storage and nearly every factory were hit. Even on the German front, where squadrons of relatively more vulnerable lower-flying B-17s had to contend with the fearsome Me-262s jets and their four 30mm nose cannons capable of tearing out a bomber wing with a single salvo, bombings had become low-risk operations by 1945 due to the overwhleming numeric superiority of bombers and their capable Mustangs and Thunderbolts escort squadrons.

In light of what I've mentioned above, this is at best a pretty naive take, it boils down to propaganda for those completely unfamiliar with the nature of the air war over Japan in 1945.

You're also completely silent about the emporer having several assassination attempts on his life while going to surrender.
It's you that's ignoring evidence.

Strawman, and that's no evidence. Even if this were true, the emperor getting assassinated by the warlords would only further demoralize the population and precipitate capitulation.

Evidence is the explicit statement of leading military commanders on the state of the war, and their assessment of how close Japan was to surrendering by the Summer of 45, and they were unequivocal in that assessment.

Guys, the WW2 atomic bomb stuff is very educational, but this thread is about the Balkan wars in 90s and General Slobodan Praljak. Why not open another thread about atomic bombing of Japan?

We've just about finished covering the subject. While it's mostly OT, there are some very relevant aspects pertaining to WW2 and Balkan geopolitics, the Nurnberg Trials and 20th century concentration camps/war crimes in Europe. If you want to understand NATO's motivations in the Balkans, you have to look at the broader geostrategic and historical framework.

I'm Croatian but I don't feel bad about General Praljak memes and gifs. Au contraire - the man was a theatre director and would have surely appreciated them.

There is only one side in this war and you must accept, so subtle now.

Ok...as a person who lives in the same region (at the moment), I'll give some info.

Before I begin, that poster, in which Praljak is standing next to Hitler, would get you killed here. Thanks to Nazis, and their Croatian accomplices, the Ustašas, Croats lost a lot of land, men, and what's worse, cause serious PR problems during the War of Independence (which Serbs used masterfully, can't blame them for that, would do the same if I were in their position.). What is even worse, in 1991, HOS (their militia) wanted us to put us under the command of Alija Izetbegović - basically make us dhimmies. Thank God HV/HVO (our legal army) put him down, in a literal sense. After the war, in 2010, HSP (their party) succeeded in turning us into dhimmies (thanks to the US), but were voted out of power. Not before stealing a lot of money of course. Like Pavelić.

Now...speaking of the verdict, I am actually happy with it (HEAR ME OUT CROATS, THEN COMMENT!!!!). That verdict accused not only the whole Bosnian Croat army, but...CROATIA too!! That proved to you (!!!) that the Muslims in Bosnia hate you with a passion. That proved that Bosnian Muslims aren't like Šemso from NMK, but Islamists who want our, and your blood. You were warned for years, and now you have seen it. My God, I loved seeing the Croatian MSM being triggered. You helped them during the war, and that's what you got, and what you'll keep getting from them. Praljak's sacrifice was not in vain. It's like in some samurai movie. Even Šešelj and Vučić (an opposing side) admired his courage.

Cuck Plenković later tried to downplay it (he said that he agrees with the verdict, but he claims that Croatia as a state is not responsible), but it's in vain. We got what we wanted - PR. HELL, EVEN BREITBART MENTIONED IT, AND IT WAS FLOODED WITH COMMENTS!!!!.

Thank you General.

Nothing like the feel when freaking MSM red pills people haha.

P.S. For those who don't know, Šemso is an Bosnian muslim comic relief character in low budget Croatian comedy TV series. A lot of gags occur because of his slight dimwitted personality.

Don't bother explaining. Many visitors and forum members don't even know to show Balkans on the map (due to the crappy school system). Can't blame them, to be honest!

You're forgetting that this is RVF, Irenicus.

I dated a Serbian girl, Sonia.

I worked with a Romanian who told me what things were like under the Communists and celebrated when Ceausescu and his wife were executed.

A Macedonian that I worked with, Imer, flew to Greece, drove to Macedonia and then walked into Albania to get his wife and her family to safety.

Before I understood game, I snapped at a Bulgarian girl, Mariana, that I worked with. She got bitchy with me so I sent her home and told her not to come back until her attitude got better. The next day she came back and apologized for the way she talked to me. Her boyfriend told her to never talk back to me again or she would answer to him!

Years later I met a girl from Montenegro whose parents were translators for coalition forces.

A lefty leaning friend joined the Peace Corps after graduation and spent a year in Tirana, Albania.

I sent out a text to the Chicago RVF group this past week about a waitress that I had recently who was Albanian. She is 21 with hair to her waist. No tatoos and no piercings. She told me that she was going to school but wanted to get married and be a stay at home mom. I texted the group that I may be in love. [Image: heart.gif]

Never forget the men on this forum are not ordinary... and even if we had a crappy education (not true for everyone) we are more inquisitive and striving than the average man.

On that note, I raise a shot of slivovitz to toast Slobodan Praljak and yourself.

Ziveli!
