Roosh - Your Intro to Buddhism Notes

Just wanted to say I enjoyed your notes on Buddhism. I have been meaning to learn more about the subject for some time now. It's an incredibly interesting topic.

I am going to be ordering "What The Buddha Taught" on Amazon this week.

Good stuff.

I've been studying Buddhism and eastern mysticism for some years now, and I can tell that this is the best book on the subject and the best author I've found:

Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

It is one of the top 3 books I've read in my life.

It is a wild, wild ride... you've been warned! No BS whatsoever, the guy cuts straight to the point.

There are temples and there are temples. I am not sure how things are where you are from, but google it a bit, read about the tradition and lingeage of any temple around your area. They might have a website, and usually there is a satsang or some sort of weekly meetings for first-timers.

You don't need to go looking for "temples" per se, but there are meditation centers for different lineages. The thing is finding one that suits you.
