He seemed to have sued the department as well, but at least his lawsuit seems to have had more substance as the guy who was promoted had a bad rep.

Seems like to get ahead in public office means that you have to sue your employer. In the private world that gets you canned and ostracized, but not so in the cushy government jobs.

This brings to mind just how disastrous "diversity" hires can be in a certain statistical sense, or in another sense how they could be managed more hilariously.

Let's say you have a population that's:

10 percent Somalian
25 percent muslim
51 percent female (yeah that "minority" )

That means for every 100 cops, 10 need to be Somalian, 25 need to be muslim and 51 need to be women.

At the worst end of the scale you're going to end up with 51 American women, 25 muslim men and 10 buddhist (or whatever) Somalian men, rendering your force at 86 feckless diversity hires per 100 officers. Staggering really.

But if you make sure that 25 of your 51 female officers are Somalian muslims then you nominally have a police force that's merely just over half fucked while still ticking the boxes.

Obviously that's the direction these organisations need to move in. They can tell the strap hangers to sit quietly in a large room and try not to shoot themselves or each other while the men take a shot at getting the job done. It sounds like a joke but you would literally be better off covering your diversity hires as a statistically efficient write-off and getting them on the payroll with the promise of having to do literally nothing all day, and then just give the real work over to American born-and-raised men.

At least that way they wouldn't spend half of their time covering for the fuckups of the others and battling the emplacement of retarded "lowest common denominator" SOPS.

Years back I looked at taking the police exam (I was really frustrated with my career in the private sector at the time). It was and still is an amazingly easy test (I reviewed a sample test). Disparate Impact lawsuits required the test be dumbed-down to the point where it is almost pointless. The result hasn't been good for my city: We have cops that are basically functionally illiterate and some who's soundness of mind is questionable. Cases have been thrown out of court due to numerous paperwork errors (due to the illiteracy).

I won't be surprised if this diversity hire under an earlier, more sane testing regime (Pre SCOTUS ruling of Griggs vs. Duke Power.. the worst SCOTUS decision of the 20th century IMHO), would never have been accepted to the police academy.

How do the cops react now?

They search the house of the shot woman in search of "bodily fluids", drugs and other potential crimes.

Frankly even if they find her to be smoking meth, diddling to child porn or eating babies - that Somali shithead should still not have shot her.

All that mattered then was - she was unarmed, there was no cause for alarm, she was clearly in her pajamas, she was not appearing dangerous and they knew that a white woman had called - so very likely that it was her. I don't know the crime stats in the US, but middle class 40-something white women are usually not calling cops and then planning a massacre on them right in front of their house while wearing pajamas to lull them into carelessness. Then those super-white women past the prime are going to pull off a Walking Dead empowered granny and kill dozens of armed seasoned men like nothing.

Kind of hard to be anything more than that when the average IQ in the country they're from is below 70 or something. Why the U.S. keeps importing these upstanding specimens is another story altogether. It's baffling, sad, and hilarious at the same time. I really do think a part of white middle America (including Canada) is trying to commit suicide at this point.

Somalia is a shit hole that the U.S. owes nothing at all in the form of war expatriation or anything. It's not like the Vietnamese or Hmong where there was at least a good case for resettling allied refugees.

Because if the Pakistanis stop inbreeding (and some have done so for generations) and they take a distance to Islam, then their Indian heritage comes in. Essentially Pakistanis are violently converted Indians - nothing bad about them. Will become a beacon of civilization in the next centuries.

They know from Israeli experiences that a huge portion of female soldiers get injured even in basic training - I think it was like 30-40%! Most men go through it with zero meaningful injuries!
