Anyone used language exchanges to game sober

Just relocated back to my home city, looking to try things I haven't before to game foreign girls. The best girls I've had historically have all been through day gaming/sober route so this is possibly somewhere I can get them one to one and get them talking.

I searched the forum and didnt find a thread on this so thought I would throw it out to the forum and see what comes back.

My background is finance but I am a qualified english tutor and have taught classes of up to 30 students.

Was thinking this might be a good hook for me to get some private one to one with cute girls and get a few dates out of it by giving them my card and offering lessons.

So anybody done this, if so how did it work out? Is the set up viable for getting numbers and dates or am I wasting my time?

Of course this can work but what do you mean by language exchange? Do you mean offering language lessons to get a number or dates from a girl that you approached? Do you mean going to an organized event where people practice languages?

Organised event where people practice, using it as a stepping stone to offering lessons and hopefully with a bit of luck getting some lays plus maybe a few new regular girls.

I recently signed up to an online language exchange located here: https://www.mylanguageexchange.com/Default.asp

It actually has some serious potential for game purposes.

- Over 3 million members worldwide
- Can easily search by city, country, gender and age range
- Pool of users self-selects for foreign non-Westernized girls
- Can use it either for gaming at home or while on travel

In two weeks of membership I've already managed to go on two outings with girls from the website. The major issue for anyone using this method is going to be converting the frame of the meetup from a friendly language-practicing chat to a date / introducing a romantic implication to the whole setup. If your game is sufficiently skilled that shouldn't be an issue.

The full membership option is $24USD / year, which allows you full range of access on the website, and (most importantly) allows you to write personalized e-mails (as openers) to any of the members. I strongly recommend anyone wanting to use this website buy the full membership.

It can definitely work. Some language exchanges are better than others. Some are very focused on language learning and some are more social.

I wouldn't use language practice as an excuse for a date unless the girl knew that I was interested in more than just practicing the language. This is easy though because girls aren't dumb and they know when you are flirting with them.

I really don't like the idea of giving free lessons to the girl. I think you would be setting yourself up to be a beta orbiter or gives her free things in return for nothing.

This is what I did a couple years ago when I was living in a big international US city and if I was still living there I would still be doing it, great way to meet FOB girls, I was using conversationexchange.com and another one I cant remember the name of.

I would message them on the website and then move it over to a messenger app so I could see pics or videochat, from there just set the first meet and basically treat it like a day date, go do stuff in the city and get to know each other, yeah theres some "how do I say this" or whatever but like you said for anyone with game its easy to shift the mood. More often then not I found that it was the girl who started talking about relationships and throwing out IOIs, they aren't just there for the language exchange either.

Perhaps you mean you didn´t find a thread specifically about SOBER language exchanges, but that's how most start. There are a few forum threads on the topic of gaming during language exchanges, including this one started by Roosh:

I've done tons of language exchanges, mostly in the US.

I was once the victim of a gaming of sorts during a language exchange. Gloria. After about 10 sessions together, it turns out that she was looking for someone to marry and get a green card. (At the time, she was working illegally in the US at a bilingual daycare center.) She always complained about her bad back. I pity whoever she ended up snagging.

Another language exchange story: the chick was a private Spanish teacher, also in the US illegally. One of her private students was a border agent who was trying to improve his Spanish to get a promotion or something.

I picked up a few bangs and my LTR from that site. You absolutely have to be a gold member to get anything out of it (even for actual language exchange purposes) and it's honestly very clunky: lots of people don't have pictures, search optimization is kinda bad (if you're actually in a foreign city you need to search it in multiple languages, god help you if Romanization is non-standard like Korean for example), and the ToS specifically says you can get banned for using it like a dating site. That said, I've had big success from it and others can to. It's just kind of a pain in the ass.

For the actual topic, yeah language exchanges were one of my bread and butters living in Korea. The women are generally university aged, they speak at least passable English, and the competition is usually a joke. Personally my favourites were ones that ran from like 7-11pm so I could get my conversation mode on, pipeline at least one or two numbers, and then bounce my choice to a bar/motel. If it's a 3-6pm on a Sunday afternoon then you'll probably be stuck eating if you try to transition right into a date but its workable. Otherwise I'd just use them to rack up some numbers and pipeline for the week.

Never tried online, but in-person language exchanges are great..they're best if you can find one later in the evening next to some sort of nightlife district. There was one in particular in the main bar area of Seoul that always had a large trafficking of young/eager locals and foreigners

Go in person. Go to your native language. Get free drinks. Everyone will want your attention. Automatic pre-selection and fish in a barrel.

You better go to meetup.com events in your area (if you live in big city), they have various type events including language cafes, simply more choice.

I've found that the chicks that go there are usually kind of ugly or SJW types. I went to one before and it was fucking stacked, some legit model types and low competition, so obviously I went back there and every other time the average girl was like 4/10. My dreams were crushed and my watering hole was just a mirage.

Another couple of resources that you guys can use:

http://www.italki.com - Langauge exchange website. In the search query, you can search for women from specific countries staying in your city.

There's also an app called Hello Talk. You can search for people nearest to you depending on the language.

Someone in my immediate family has a long-term, professional dancer Asian girlfriend that he met that way.

Can't hurt. Worst case scenario is that you just get practice in another language.

I met a Russian girl through this and went to a group language exchange after our individual one. After the group meet that sorta sealed the deal, so yes. I have been to one.

I second the in person ones. In big cities they can get really crowded, 100 people and above.

I prefer when they are standing up. Everyone writes the languages they speak/ want to practice on a sticker together with their name. You just walk around talking to random people. Very friendly atmosphere.

At other events you sit down and every table is a different language. These are worse for gaming and tend to be more serious (more of a learning vibe, instead of just socializing in different languages).

However if you are at a table where you speak fluently, and is a language that girls consider sexy (french, spanish, italian...) you can do very very well.

The online ones I have tried when I really want to practice the target language.

Instead of paying for lessons, I grab a glass of wine with a cute local girl and we speak in her language.

Then we switch and we speak in one of my languages so she can also practice.

At worst you got a free lesson with a cute girl. Normally girls who practice language X are into guys from country X, so it's not to hard to game.

Also, being a "cultural" exchange, it's extremely easy to suggest a second date at your place to cook some regional dish. Even extremely shy/conservative girls will agree to that.

I generally use Spanish for this, I have used French sometimes.

Nice, thanks. I might actually use it for language purposes. If I end up dating from there it will just be a welcome bonus.

Ok, so I'm looking to give this a try.

Obviously showing up at the group ones is an option, but I'm going to try for one-on-ones first. There are many groups on FB for language exchanges, and girls usually reach out there. I imagine it can be hard to get them to meet (the dating pretext is a hurdle) but like anything it's a numbers game.

If I do meet, should I then treat it like a date? Or be casual and focus on friendly banter. I wouldn't mind the language practice, actually. But at some point if the girl is cute I'm gonna be thinking about escalating.

Or, is a less direct approach better? Maybe just keep it casual and flirty on the first meet, and if there's another one try to change up the frame. Maybe there's a shield up in the first meeting.

In my city, these meetups are usually sausage fests. It's also bad that they're full of locals. Horny guys with broken English trying to capture an international flag, or gringo groupies looking for a green card.

By chance, I have banged two foreign girls here from club game (one American and one German), but I still need to figure out the easiest way of racking up international flags without living the city.

I did, even though it was not really prepared as I was actually more interested on improving my english. Funnily enough I banged a german girl, and 0 anglosphere ones. To be honest I just was a regular funny guy with most people and then I went for the girl that gave me the most IOIs. It was a good plan as it proved, Im putting it in practice again soon but with japanese girls.
