I’m in if it can be organized sometime in mid to late June, Laner what are you thinking, a big night out on the town or organize some type of activity? I’d be down for salmon fishing, trip to Whistler, hiking in Squamish, banging fentanyl at Insite, etc.

All those sound like decent options. I only bump fent, so banging might be fun.

Night on the town is probably the easiest. I am in no rush so June is fine.

Ah, Vancouver... it's actually a dutch name... Van Couver... But don't let the name fool you.

I was born in Vancouver and can be considered "old stock". My grandparents where there when Vancouver was essentially a British colony. Today Vancouver is a far cry from that, as it is now very, very multi ethnic.

Rain: I hope you love it! Vancouver is heaven on earth in the summer. But in the words of the X-files guys, it's basically a tropical rain forest during the rest of the year.

White Canadian women: Very few will be interested in an Asian guy. It happens but it's rare. I personally don't find white Canadian women attractive. They tend to suffer from the standard Anglo traits: unfeminine, loud, often physically quite large, entitled and defensive. Of course there are some exceptions, but in general that's what they are. You might find that exotic. But I was raised around them, and I find them to be a turn off for the most part... but again, there are always a few exceptions.

Asian people in Vancouver: Very important! The Asian women in Vancouver are not like the Asian women in Asia, even the FOB ones. They're different. It's like once they step off the boat, they start assimilating into the culture and lose their cuteness and femininity. I can walk down the street in HK, Tokyo and Seoul, and see beautiful Asian girls every 20 seconds. In Vancouver, it's no where near like that. Many of the Asians may also be 3rd generation Canadian (usually Japanese), but they're basically just Canadians with yellow skin. There's nothing really Asian about them.

Personally, I'd skip Vancouver unless you have a thing for very expensive western cities with western Anglo attitudes.

Flair Air is now offering really cheap flights (around $200-300) round trip from Edmonton but the issue is that the airport is in Abbotsford. Any suggestions as to how to get to downtown Vancouver from there, or the closest Skytrain station? Are there buses from the airport to the city? The cheap flight is enticing but if I'm going to have to spend $100 or more on a taxi or Uber to get into the city then I'll just fly West Jet or AC to YVR.

There is the express bus station at 200th street and HWY1 (Carvolth exchange) in Langley, you get on and it takes you to Coquitlam then you hop on the skytrain from there.

This way will take you a while but it is cheap

or there are other options

I'm working split out of town shifts but I'd be down if the dates line up.
I'm sure I've probably passed Scotian in the patch sometime before!

Vancouver, Canada - Comprehensive Datasheet

Hey guys I just spent a week in Vancouver and wanted to give you an update on my experience. I travel a ton for work and use this forum to map out every city I visit before arriving. I have never posted here before, but since I've gathered so much great info here over the years, I figure I should give back some love.

First of all, I'm white, over 30 and in good shape. I have done some modeling and have decent style. I was working all day so not much daygame for me, but I did pretty well with night game in this city. I find Vancouver to be pretty chill and most girls to be pretty approachable. Of course as the night goes on you get more bitch shields and all that, but I've got to say, Vancouver treated me well. The only thing I don't like is that many bars charge a cover. I think that is pretty lame for a regular bar to charge a cover but whatever...Here are the places that I checked out:

Granville:

Roxy: I stayed in an airbnb very close to Roxy just off Granville, and I can agree with the OP that it's a real shit show down there. I checked all the bars and ended up closing most of my nights at Roxy, just because it is open late every night and you can mingle in there. However after 1AM ratios are horrible and you have every guy in the place drunk approaching like mad. There is a cover which is understandable as they have really good cover bands, and the staff is really cool and chill. I did watch them throw out some douche that was trying to start a fight, which I have a feeling is a regular occurrence in this place, but as OP said, it's definitely worth checking out. Granville Room across the street gets crowded but it was too ghetto for my taste. I walked into every bar on that street during the week, with most being small seated groups or just a couple of dudes at the bar. There are a few other clubs on Granville but they looked pretty empty and I didn't feel like paying a cover. I pulled a drunk flight attendant from Roxy my 1st night out. Later that week I pulled another cute girl playing last man standing street game at the same place. She was giving like 100 Euros to some homeless guy and I stepped in to make sure she made it home ok. That move turned out well for me.

Gastown:
Cambie bar is pretty good, and if it's crowded you can always chat people up on the patio. I bought home a couple of girls from this place for after hours drink but not able to close.

On Friday I posted up for the night at Blarney Stone. It was rainy and there was a great band and they were open till 3. Great location on weekends. Super packed and easy to mingle and bump around chatting girls up. Most people are pretty easy going and it was a fun night. Had 2 close calls here but no pull.

There is a salsa bar under the Local that looks fun.. went in for a drink but didn't stay long. Salsa not my thing but could be good for those of you who can dance Salsa and approach Latinas. Other bars are hit or miss in this area. Popped into the Bourbon a few times but it was usually empty. I didn't try Lamplighter (Long Line by the time I got there) and Red Room looked lame from the outside with nothing around, so I didn't try there either.

Other Places:
Library square is busy on weekends, I went in one time but couldn't get a drink at the bar and didn't really like the vibe in there (SUPER loud) so I left after 15 min.

There is some talk above about Glowball. I checked it out almost every night of the week and the bar was always empty. I don't think it's happening any more. Nice bartenders though.

A few nights I cruised the restaurants in Yaletown, but there were no good bars to mix with people. It's a cool area for a date but not so good to meet people IMO.

After reading the intel above, I did check out Black + Blue Rooftop and Reflections on top of Hotel Georgia. Both were really cool places, especially reflections, but all closed tables and no bar or mingle area. Good date spots but not so good for game. They also close early. However, there is a lounge in the basement of Hotel George that had a cool 1 man live music act, and a lively bar with a more classy clientele. I ended up meeting someone at a bar nearby and coming in here by chance. Might be worth checking out and no cover.

Good luck guys and stay classy.

I have a question about vancouver are girls there just super slutty? I've talked to some girls there on tinder so far both have their age set as 18 but were really 17. Any ways talked to them for a while one has a body count of 37 and the other 12. They also said they're down for basically anything. This seems like a lot by that age tbh even by todays standards, so are Vancouver girls just super slutty?

I was involved in a sex study of university students in Vancouver. This was over ten years ago (it was one of my first jobs), but I remember the effect it had. The first girl walked in, she was a plain-looking half-asian girl. Freshmen. 18. She starts answering questions and we get to the sexual partner count. 44.

44 dudes at 18. It took me a bit to wrap my head around it. I was pretty young at the time and green in the field, so I wasn't as jaded as I am now. Sexual behavior, to an extent, is domain dependent. Vancouver (at least the university set) girls stand out in my mind as being a case of "when they are slutty, they are really, really slutty". There were plenty of virgins and one-guy girls in the groups. But, it seemed like once the girls passed the threshold of a handful of guys, they just went full-bore.

I would say my personal experience with Vancouver girls has replicated my observations of that study. Girls I have known and pulled have fallen to the extremes of the spectrum - either prudish or very slutty.

That being said, Vancouver is notoriously cliquish. The sexual partner diagrams would look like some deep south family tree - very incestuous. So, just because the girls are slutty doesn't mean it becomes insanely easy for a guy to pull. However, if you can break in to a social circle of slutty girls, you can probably make your way through the whole roster without rocking the boat too much. YMMV. I'd be interested in hearing from other guys on this one.

Currently out of office.
