HISTORY: Maverick Presidential Candidate Survives Assassination Attempt

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:TR_As...Damage.jpg

The above link shows pictures of an eyeglass case and a paper copy of a speech delivered by Theodore Roosevelt. On 14 October 1912, a saloonkeeper shot him in Milwaukee. This was when he was on the campaign trail running as a Progressive against Taft and Wilson. The bullet damaged both of them, as the pictures show. They also slowed down the bullet enough that TR's life was not in danger.

Of course, this was Theodore Roosevelt. Being a master showman and just a tough son of a bitch, his show went on after the attempt. He told the crowd: "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose." Blood ran down his shirt as he delivered the speech for about 90 minutes.

Doctors determined that it would be more dangerous to remove the bullet, so he carried it with him for the rest of his life.

Yesterday, a so-called maverick ran off stage; and the alleged assassin didn't do anything. Theodore Roosevelt would kick's Donald Trump's ass up and down Madison Avenue.

Puckerman, you have started some really weird threads over the years including one on women giving "fake hugs" and one about approaching and sleeping with homeless women. Im starting to question your state of mind.

Fake hugs

I think it's time you took your weird kinks, and subtle passive aggressive trolling attitude somewhere else.

What's up with "history" in all caps and the clickbait title thread? Too buzzfeed-ish.
