The company Daz3D already appeals to the print ad market with their virtual mannequins. It`s a fair point, but the dolls might in the end be totally realistic! The first cloned hamburger has already been grown (in a lab) and safely consumed. Apparently it tasted good also. I think narcissism is more complicated than self hatred. At a narcissists core is shame and self hatred, but they seldom acknowledge it mentally to themselves, and almost never verbally to others.

So in a practical level, it is a grandiose level of self esteem that brooks no interference.

I have read in the psych literature that the lower a narcissist goes, the more superior they feel, and I have met people like this, comedians bombing and saying after the show, "What's wrong with these people, that was great material," or even any fatty who demands unconditional love from others.

I think the reason they destroy themselves is that their fake self esteem is so great, they think they are worthy and lovable no matter how much they destroy themselves.

Marriage rates are already going down in the western countries while birth rates are holding steady. More men are co-habitating but not doing the marriage dog and pony show.

I don't think birth rates will go anywhere, but marriage will decline with more male choices and options.

I think you're missing Leonard's point. He's coming from a world-view in which not behaving in a traditionally masculine manner is seen as a grave dereliction of biological duty. From the data I`ve seen, the white women`s fertility rate is still trending downwards towards 1.0 child per woman. You have to factor in the migrant births also, they`re not separated from Anglos in the official statistics. Not in Europe at least.
