What are some forgotten rules of etiquette that every man should know?

When walking on the sidewalk with a girl, man walks on the side closest to traffic.

I don't like this etiquette rule because sometimes it means the girl has to walk on my right side. I prefer to keep the girl on my left side, because I'm right-handed. My right hand should be free in case I need to pull my gun, grab my knife, or throw a punch in the event some thug decides to harass us on the street.

Seems almost 80% of America has forgotten that chewing with your mouth open is disgusting. It's not just that it makes you look like you were raised by incompetent parents on a farm in the middle of nowhere but as far as success in life and in the business world, it can reflect extremely poorly on you.

Table manners, one of the most important branches of etiquette has largely disappeared due to poor parenting and a decline in social skills/values.

I personally don't associate with those with poor table manners or who chew with their mouths open, men or women. Those you surround yourself with reflect strongly on you, the individual. When I sit down to eat you can be damned if you think I'll sit there listening to or be accompanied by someone chewing like a cow.

Hey boy .... Farmers can and do chew with their mouths closed. My tractor which provides your food costs more than your house. Chew on that.

Stereotypically disparaging others is not good manners. Read these tips before you give advice yourself.

I was picturing the same thing. Haha. Made me think of the old video game double dragon where people are just constantly trying to kill you. I doubt there are too many here that played that one on the original nes.

In SEA, I ALWAYS walk on the traffic side of my girl. I've had mirrors and antennas hit my hand and arms even though I'm over 6' and 200 lbs. A 5' nothing girl walking next to that traffic scares the hell out of me!

Similiar to the comments about getting on and off Elevators and Trains. How about standing back a few feet from the damn Baggabe Claim Carousel??!! When your bag comes, walk forward and remove it. If you stand right on top of the carousel, no one has room! Pet Peeve #1!!!

When helping a girl into the car, take her hand as she steps in. Helping a girl out will have the man step out first and offer his hand to the girl as she steps out.

When crossing a huge puddle...fuck that. Walk somewhere else.

Eating at a professional meeting or in front of guests, or both.

I'm an analyst for a fortune 50 business. I gave a data presentation once for a recently launched product group and the business unit group stuffed their mouths with catering though the entire fucking thing. They invited me there to explain some figures, I do not report to any of them. I am a fucking guest. This was a favor, I was in no way obligated to do this for them.

Also, the MBAs and other exec's have been infected by the companies lax dress code. Men who make seven figures wearing flip flops to meetings with business partners.

I can't believe I read this cuz I just told this stripper to chew with her mouth cloth and she said "i dont care when im around you" I said "excuse me " in a firm voice and she said "you heard me" in a softish voice i could barly hear. I just looked her in the eyes as she chewed with her mouth close. It was disgusting as it is that she was eating a burger but I can't help but find it unacceptable under any circumstances

Adam says to God, "God, why did you make women so soft ?"
God says, "So that you will like them."
Adam says to God, "God, why did you make women so warm and cuddly?"
God says, "So that you will like them."
Adam says to God, "But, God, why did you make them so stupid?"
God says, "So that they will like you"

Keeping your elbows off the table at a restaurant or family dinner table. Looks like you're guarding your food from others.
