I think this is highly age dependent, among other factors.

I think for a young, good-looking guy, the USA isn't that bad because it's chic for chicks to get laid a lot, but the guy has to be "cool." For an 45+ guy , EE rules, but younger guys tend not to have the money to get there and the time to spend. If you're over 60-- Asia.

If you don't have US$2k /mo Paris is drenched with culture but what are the rents!?

If you're a brother, Russia may be uncool because of racism.

If I HAD to pick in general, someplace where there's a good symphony, not too expensive, women are nice....housing is not too bad-- I really don't know-- I heard Berlin has cheap housing because of all the dilapidated housing stock in the Eastern sector. But I'm a little too old for Germany ( 50+).

If there mountains anywhere nearby, that would be pretty good, proximity to EE provides a backup.

So for guys who aren't into Asians, a formula could be (each factor rated 1-10)

(2 x [demographics (age, race, as relevant) ]) +
(2 x [female hotness]) +
(1.5 x [quality of local Symphony/or culture which you like]) +
(1 x [proximity to EE]) +
(1 x [low housing costs])

It's very quiet in the winter months. But, still probably the busiest Spanish town on the coast. It CAN be very glitzy. You go into Puerto Banus and oil have their multi million dollar yachts docked in the marina. But, it's also possible to totally avoid the glitz altogether. Marbella is popular with professionals from Spain, Britain and other other European countries who have second homes in town.

i disagree... well of course depends on your budget. I have lived in Colombia, Bangkok, London and Australia amongst other places. Sydney is a world class city... IMO it is greater for women than Melbourne... Melbourne is better for sport...amazing.

On a saturday night in sydney there are hot girls everywhere from all over the world, asians galore, europeans, brazilians and loads of australians girls in short skirts.. If you are young, good looking and have game u would love sydney. if you are looking for a girl who actually has a car, an apartment, a job and money u will love sydney.

if you old or overweight forget sydney...go asia, south america.

what continental europeans do mostly visit melbourne? I have heard australian local women can be as bad as british/irish ones which discourages me to visit there.

I've met and gamed a lot of German, Dutch and Scandinavian girls which I know is your favourite type. I've also met Italian, French and Brazilian but only one of each. We get a ton of these Europeans in our Summer. Australia has a huge variety in its girls. There are tons and tons of Italian, Greek and Yugoslav girls here and in my opinion they're better looking than the British descended Aussie girls. The Asian girls are fly too but a lot of them are foreign students who sometimes don't speak English well enough to game properly. Plus they can get uber shy when approached, even the ones born here.

As for Sydney being hotter, yeah I would say Sydney does have better girls then Melbourne. But at the same time every time I've visited Sydney I've gone in Summer and stayed with family I have there who live very close to the beach so most of the girls I saw were tanned bikini babes as opposed to the regular ones. Melbourne > Sydney in terms of day game though. Melbourne is a great day game city.

I used to live in Sydney mate. I am fully aware of the ethnic mix on offer. My comment as to how expensive everything is pertains to Australia as a whole. I am in Perth at the moment and it is another 10-20% more expensive, so I know how it is.

Whilst you are spot on regarding Sydney vs Melbourne (imo), I think the major difference is the bitch shields are extremely high in Sydney in comparison to Melbourne and are up there with the highest in the world.

Melbourne is my favourite city in Australia. Sydney has better weather and beaches, but bar that, Melbourne is the place to be.

i agree with u aswell... i love Meolbourne more than any other place in Australia because of alll the sport-AFL (80,000 people at the G on a friday nightt yhen cruising to a bar) The australian open, grand prix, nrl etc etc. its a fantastic place and yeah women are proably more approachable-i ahvent spent long enough.

but hell sydney has the best women in australia i have seen. bitch shields...again i need longer.

Capetown, South Africa - beautiful city with awesome beaches, wineries around and nature, amazing girls, diverse nightlife and cuisine.
Drawback: opposite seasons, now the winter starts.

Tel Aviv, Israel - good beaches, very diverse hot Israeli women which fits every taste, even better nightlife and restaurants.

Having lived a year in Sydney and over a decade in Melbourne I can lend my perspective on this.

For women, hands down Sydney has hotter women. You will see far more 8s and higher in Sydney than you will in Melbourne. In general I found the average women in Sydney (6s and 7s) far more receptive and DTF than their Melbourne counterparts but this is my personal observation. The 8s or higher have their bitch shields in both cities but if you have an exotic flavor about you that sets you apart from the average aussie they are generally receptive to you.

For tourists, again Sydney trumps Melbourne by sheer numbers. Go wandering around the botanic gardens, opera house, darling harbour or bondi and you will see them in their droves. As much as I like Melbourne, Sydney is far more iconic as a travel destination with landmarks like bondi and the opera house, and thus gets more tourists.

Nightlife, both have clubs that are pretty much the same but the quality of women in Sydney going there are far better. They are better looking and the dress a hell of a lot better. They are a lot more feminine in their attire. Short skirts seem the popular option in Sydney while Melbourne jeans seem more the norm.

Day life, Melbourne wins hands down. Very much a european cafe culture in Melbourne. Cafes, shopping, sports events all vastly superior to Sydney. Many Sydney people would agree with this.

Cost of living, Melbourne wins hands down. Sydney is ridiculously expensive. 7 years ago I was staying in Potts Point in Sydney. Had a million dollar view and great location but it was small rundown 1 bedroom apartment and that was setting me back $450 a week. This was a basic apartment as well. No air-con or anything like that. Now I stay in a luxury apartment in the city. Its twice the size, has fantastic 270% views of the city, all the mod cons (air-con, clothes dryer, dishwasher, secured car park) and sets me back $480 a week. Same place in a similar location in Sydney would set me back close to $1,000 a week

Sydney is a great place to live if you want to party, meet hot women and don't care about saving. Melbourne is a far better option because you can have slightly scaled down versions of both of them and be able to save due to the large drop in accommodation.

Agree with the old or overweight comment about Sydney. Same applies to Melbourne. If you are 40+ or overweight then pickings are a lot slimmer. However the beauty about Melbourne is when you are 40+ you are likely to have built your career to a point where you are pulling in 6 figures due to the excellent salaries and job opportunities in Melbourne and return flights to Thailand or the Philippines can be bought for less than a weeks wage. The accessibility to two of the best spots in the world for 40+ guys, in time zone (2-4 hours time difference tops), flight time (10-12 hours) and affordability (what I make in 1 week I could live like a king for 1 month with in Thailand/Philippines) means it is probably one of the best base cities out there.

According to BMI (Body Mass Index) Australia is the most obese country but BMI is a terrible way to measure obesity. Using this as a measure somebody with a lot of muscle like a bodybuilder could be classified as obese. Many top athletes in rugby/rugby league are actually considered obese by this measurement. They actually use it as a measure once on a top rugby league side and 80% of them came up obese in this test.

Their are a lot of fat people in Australia but many of them would just tip the BMI into the obese classification. When it comes to the hyper obese, nobody does it quite like the yanks. I doubt, percentage wise, any country would come remotely close to the US in the 150kg+ category. That said, I would be very surprised if Aussie doesnt rank #2 in the 150kg+ category.
