Ted Cruz: "A brokered convention.....would cause a revolt."

Why do some here sound surprised that the Grand Ole Cucks would willingly hand the election over to Shillary via self destruction? Assume Romney will be the "nominee for president" to save yourselves the disappointment.

Why am I suprised?

Simply because I expect the successful puppet-masters to look out for their own best interests. They might not LIKE Trump, but he's bringing more people to the party than any single candidate has ever before in history. Even in their "worst case" scenario, they'd only have to work with him for 8 years, at which point the party would grow even more.

Women act emotionally, it's to be expected. But by and large, it's still men who hold the real power in America. It's baffling to see them act in such emotional hysterics.

They don't give a shit about the voters, about growing the party, or winning elections.

All they care about is not having to pay tariffs on their slave labor. Everything else is noise to them.

Hillary is one of them. Trump is not.

That's all you really need to know. They'd prefer Romney over Hillary, but Hillary over Trump.

Look, the men who vote for Cruz are guys whose wife and/or pastor doesn't allow them to vote for Trump. These guys are not revolt material.

Well said Libertas. This election is not Republicans vs Democrats. This election has always been The Donald vs The Machine.

I think when Cruz said revolt he meant that candidates and voters would pack up and vote for a different, new party.

I wouldn't count out some sort of succession movement eventually, but we are a long way from it.

Look Trump is the King of the Art of the Deal - Lubio is about to become a massive skid mark and if you add Trump's and Cruz's delegates they will have the overwhelming majority...

Trump would bite the bullet and Cruz would swallow really hard and it would be a Trump/Cruz POTUS/VPOTUS ticket for the win against Shrillery/Bernie and the election would be close with the Trump/Cruz ticket coming in with a 3 or 4 point win in the end.

The Donald/Cruz ticket is our only hope. So have any of you thought about spots to move to if this gos to hell? I'm thinking an underground bunker.

Russia has shown to have strong Nationalist views. I think they will be a safe haven for those who prefer to live like traditional, masculine men with minimal government interference.

Yup, check this out:

But VKontakte’s pro-Kremlin shareholders were too unfamiliar with information technology, and feared that if they pushed too hard Mr. Durov could have caused a blackout. Understanding this, Mr. Durov sought to maintain the image of a crazy man unafraid of litigation or losses. This is why the operation to buy out his shares was conducted with such meticulous precision.

The brightest maverick in Russia’s business world gave the millennial generation a powerful instrument of organization and self-expression. But in the end Mr. Durov and his company were unable to withstand the pressure of pro-Putin businessmen made rich by the same oil-and-gas wealth that has improved Russians’ quality of life while paralyzing their political will.

Putin went in to take over VK the second anti-Kremlin sentiment arose on that media service.

People can complain about the US, but I thank my lucky stars that it isn't an authoritarian style government like Russia or China.

Americans enjoy more personal freedom than pretty much any developed country in the world. It is just the weird ideological stuff that is seeping into our politics now that is the problem.

Russia is a possibility. Shame though. The era of small governments has come to an end.

While my knowledge of Russian politics is admittedly limited, I'd like to clarify my statement:

Comparatively speaking the average reader of this forum would find more freedom and less interference in his life, day to day activities, or social outings in Russia than in America.

Do you disagree?

Having never been to Russia I can't answer that question. But America isn't a homogeneous place. I've lived a bunch of places in the States, and it really just depends on where you are and what you want to do.

Taking two extremes... In Alaska people pretty much do what they want. Government interference is pretty minimal. In some places, you don't even have to register your car if it's 8+ years old. Whereas in New York (upstate), everything is either illegal or expensive and there are fees and permits and licenses out the ass. Can't even go to a park after dark because the parks all close at dusk. Just sitting in your car for a few hours reading a book will have cops driving by to see if you're a drug dealer or something. NYC is worse.
