hating one's parents

Since then, I've discovered that parents are only human (like CBW said), doing their best (in most circumstances) to raise their children.
To have hatred for the very people that gave you life and invested enormous amounts of time, energy and resources into bringing you up in the world is an unfathomable emotion to possess (unless you're female?)
It'd have to differ. I think it some cases it's not only a reasonable emotion, but a morally required one.
Their investment of time and energy is not a debt you carry on your shoulders. You had no choice whether you came into the world - you did so purely by the self-interested decision of your parents. You were not in the room to give your agreement.
If it was the case that people were indebted to their parents, it would be perfectly reasonable for a car salesman to park a new Ferrari in front of your house and drop an invoice in your mailbox, and to expect you to pay. That's obviously bullshit. A debt that isn't agreed to is no debt at all.
Regardless of any guilting tactics they psychologically assault their children with, the time and energy parents invest in their children is done for their own selfish instinctive reasons. A child can just try telling them "no don't do that for me" and see their response to prove that. Human children are in no way 'indebted' to their parents any more than a kitten is.
Making the likely strenuous assumption that parents never act with malice towards their children, the question is: is rearing negligence grounds for hatred?
I believe it certainly is. Parents always say they're doing the best, regardless of the truth of it. It's just standard self-assurance by telling yourself fictions. No parent on the planet ever "didn't do their best".
They ignored their child's development beyond keeping them fed and sheltered - they did their best. They willfully stunted their child's development due to their selfish controlling desires - they did their best. They send a daughter to a college to become a slut and a brain-damaged feminist - they did their best. They let a daughter get fat and blame her problems on others - they did their best. They sat back and let their son waste thousands of dollars to get a worthless college degree - they did their best. Son is still living at home at 30 - they did their best. Daughter is filling her spinster apartment with cats - they did their best. Son is a 25yo virgin with no career prospects and spends his evenings white-knighting on the internet - they did their best.
And its not like its difficult to avoid negligence in child rearing. A yearly check on developmental progress and direction, plus some simple research on issues facing the up-coming generation, on top of the basics, would be enough in most cases.
One of the most heart-warming things I read here was during the Roosh tour - when someone mentioned that an English man had brought his son to the event. That is a parent deserving of love. Someone who went above and beyond the basics to make sure his son's life would take off on a well-informed course.
Speaking freely - some parents are just pieces of shit. All the cases I know of kids who were bullied at school, or ended up loners or late virgins, or who's lives and careers were just aborted efforts before they even turned 30, could have been avoided. And you can see it in the parents. You can see how pathetic they are and how its stunting their children and darkening what could have been a bright future.
Unconditional love is an immoral defilement of the very concept of love. Bad people, sociopaths, and wrong-doers should always be hated, regardless of who they are. Loving bad parents is only an act of personal weakness.

Yes, and if you are a strong, thriving, well-grounded man who loves that glorious World and all its unendingly rich textures, then you give thanks to your parents for bringing you into it, and setting you on your happy way. And yes, you may even love them for it. Whatever "reasons" they may, or may not, have had are utterly beside the point.

How many of you hate your parents?
I hate my parents and I think it's because I'm evolved. I'm being serious, not trolling. What do you think of this idea?
This guy says the ego grows as humans evolve:

In an article he says this:

Questions I received on egoism and its negative consequences:
Question: Sometimes you give simple interpretations of the source texts. For example, in one of the daily Kabbalah lessons you talked about the verse from the prophets, “One’s enemies are his family.” I have experienced this through the division of my family. My question is: when is it acceptable to interpret a text literally and when isn’t it?
My Answer: As time goes on, egoism develops and hence more hatred becomes revealed everywhere and in everything. As a result we are revealing that everyone hates everyone. Soon we will also reach the situation described in this verse.
Every verse has to be correct on every level. However, whether it has already been revealed in our world or not is a matter of time.
I think I'm ahead of the curve.
Why is it that there appears to be a lot more alienation in the West than in the Third World? Why is it that first generation immigrants from Arab countries and Africa always love their parents a lot?
OP I have a feeling there's a lot of people who aren't crazy about your parents.
I suggest we start a collection to get them one of these for you

Holy shit this thread. Autism speaks.
This is the dumbest topic I've seen in a long time. You're not "more evolved", OP, you're just an autistic edgelord manchild that never grew out of the "fuck you dad!" phase. Go watch Thomas the Tank Engine or play with your My Little Pony figurines, just stop shitting up the forum.

I hate my dad. He was addicted to cocaine, abused my mum, got arrested frequently then vanished like 11 years ago. He lives in Spain somewhere. Haven't spoken to him since.
I don't hate my mum. I was very close to her when I was younger like a mommas boy. But after a while and now I can't tolerate listening to her or the constant nagging. She would say shit like "I'm gonna kill myself" because I left my socks under my bed or something like that. Now I just tell her off every time she says something stupid. I really don't care anymore. I would be afraid to say stuff to her before because of how she takes it. She can't take criticism.

why does it say male feminist?
Same reason why it says "International Playboy" here. Maybe we could start calling members with under fifty posts "possible trolls" instead of male feminists. Some people have parents who truly are horrible people or don't even have parents. If your parents don't fall into one of those two categories and you hate your parents, you have some serious issues and are probably on the wrong forum. No need for some biblical analysis that I don't even understand.
You'll be mad at your parent as long as you live with them. Once you leave your relationship will get better.
