Here's a good story: I was at this same bar a few weeks ago and I saw this guy make out with the nastiest hambeast I've ever seen. She must have been German or English. 30 minutes later, he's making out with her friend...who is even bigger and nastier. I bet that guy went home and said, "Guys...I KILLED IT in Tallinn!" And then he shows his buddies pictures of girls from a high-end club's website and they all think he was scoring supermodels on his 3-day trip. It just doesn't happen, not in a city with 500,000 people. No non-party monster is going to jeopardize her reputation to hook up with a foreigner when she has known half the people in the club since grade school.

@Peoloom- I didn't see ANY foreigners hooking up. I thought at least the Swedes or Finns had a chance, but no dice. The only foreigner I met w/ a local g/f was a black guy from London, and he had lived there for awhile. The pic was taken at Nimega bar. In reference to the pic I was pulling better quality in England w/ much less hassle, which is why I went back.

Usually not even as extreme as that. Most of the time it boils down to misunderstanding of terminology.

"I pulled/picked up a girl" => 'pull' her over to talk to her
"closed" => exchanged facebooks
"super hot girl" => ... not necessarily so

I've noticed this is abundant and definitely so in internet forums, even pickup 'instructors' and even the ones that are considered 'mega gurus' engage in this very often.

Just stay grounded. No need to over zealously believe every post that sounds too good to be true and no need to be unrealistically pessimistic either.

When it comes to traveling the best thing to do is check it out by yourself assuming the country interests you for more than its supposedly 'easy lays'.

Quick city review:

I went to Riga a few years ago for less than a week because the airline tickets were cheap and I wanted to go somewhere.

Anyhow, my observation:

The girls are superhot. An average girl there is still hot in western Europe. Period. If you go to a dance-club you can probably go blind and be spoiled for life. They have an iron wall of shit tests though, probably like most Russian girls. (Later I had the pleasure to be with several Russians and each time I got the shit tests, but later they turned into the nicest, sweetest girls) with I didn't have much experience with pick-up then and didn't score, but I was offered sex for money by two girls at a McDonalds at night. I've met some creepy looking guys, I'm sure they were sex tourists.

The city, at least bars and clubs in the old town, were expensive, but everything outside of the old town looked very poor and run-down. The mafia probably runs a great part of business in Riga, too.

Could be that things are different now.
