Best era to be born and live?

If I could be born into a higher class, I'd probably opt for a high and peaceful point in ancient Egypt.
A magical worldview, hierarchy, warm weather, deeply constructed mythology and astrology, the Library of Alexandria that likely contained the sum of thousands of years of human scientific and religious knowledge, and a powerful civilization. Sex likely seemed like pure magic.
It was likely the pinnacle of the combination of the human civilizational experience and living connected to his environment, for the latter both in terms of his spiritual practice as well as his every-day life. It was a combination of science, civilization, and living according to human instinct.
Ancient Europe, while it made us who we are, was undoubtedly a harsh, violent life in terms of the cold and war. I would never choose it for pleasure. To shape genetics, sure, but not for pleasure.
Rome up until post 1945 or so in Europe and America seems like it would have been equally lame in terms of pure pleasure. Though, living a simple farm life in some periods and places would have likely been okay.
Though, I do love and would miss indoor plumbing.

I forgot about this thread. Nice bump.
Without sounding too extreme, I think we are on a heavy tipping point across the globe. It's a globalist vs. nationalist showdown. The average person doesn't realize it, but the next 2-4 years will decide whether or not our great-great-grandchildren will succeed. The left wants us to end race and become one miserable unified race, the Trump supporters are nationalists and love interacting with other races and making deals that benefit both parties. Unfortunately the average voter loves buzzwords and buys into nonsense.
Also, I'm currently reading The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. He's an excellent author. It's a shocker that racist bigots like me read the work of a mulatto.

Couldn't go back without a mindwipe. I've studied too much history, even the things that worked for a time were factors that led us to the inevitable path we're on today. I'd be 'that guy' preaching against the things which were holding society together preaching about a future noone would ever believe.
I'd like to be prime age to build a new Western culture after things hit rock bottom. It's very possible I'll get my wish.
