Do you guys really have a problem with cell phones that much to even think about needing a jammer?
I'm in the USA and the cell phone dependence of the young really creeps me out, and I don't think it's normal, healthy generational/technological change.
It's another sign of our bizarre reality where
what comes to us through digital media is more and more considered actual life, and face-to-face, analog experience ( In the past I would have said
real experience) is considered an optional ornament to the electronic world.
Examples of this-- Reality TV: They're "just like you"- but they're not. Constant texting: No one is ever alone, which paradoxically means NO ONE IS EVER REALLY WITH YOU because they're distracted, DJ's posing as musicians- ( I know scratching can actually be a musical instrument, I'm talking about just DJing) -- THe people aren't listening to muscians, they listening to someone play records.... more and more distance from real life, real sensation, real experience.
What's interesting and though is that any unhealthy process like this has a flip side -- for example, for each whale that has a bitch shield because she thinks she should marry the millionaire Bachelor on TV, there's a nice plain 6 who'e been ignored because of all the bitch shields around other chicks, and is just waiting-
-dying!-- for someone who's not intimidated to make her do the Bad Weasel.
In fact, I'm texting a married chick right now and accused her of being a Bad Weasel, she's very smart and highly defended so we'll see what her reaction is. Probably change the subject.
