Is it safe to assume the Cloudfare anti measures are a permanent feature or will they be turned off when attacks aren't present?

I just made a post with image links and had to type in a captcha for each link and to post. Is this part of cloudfare or is this telling me there is something fishy with my browser? I installed a vpn extension a while back that was sketchy and thought I deleted it but wasn't sure, maybe that is causing problems.

It seems that it is now required that you prove you are human when submitting or editing posts that have image tags. Not sure what all is included, but I haven't had to submit the captcha for text only posts as of now.

I agree. It's starting to get very annoying.

Anti DDOS measures will remain in effect as long as a threat remains. I can not give a timeline of when that may end.

I've been getting an Error 522, 502, 520 (not sure what they mean) all day for ROK and once for RVF.
