It was made by one-man-shop, Artec Media. He either did it to get his name out (he sent out the press release that prompted the media coverage) or he's banging one of the girls. Possibly both. Either way, the original song probably cost more than the video itself.

I notice you only see about half of the chapter in the video. The rest probably aren't bikini-ready.

It's strange how much the quality of women vary from chapter to chapter within the same sorority. At least 2/3s of the DGs at my school were chubby. ADPis and KDs were the top 2 but they all had their token fatties - most are legacies.

It's true. I know a girl who was a Delta Gamma but she went to a small liberal arts college as opposed to some Div 1 state school. I saw a pic of of all her sisters and they all looked the type of chicks you'd see in marching band back in high school - homely plain Jane types basically.

Absolutely. Famous and nationally revered sorority chapters (USC DG, Duke TriDelt, Ole Miss Chi O, Alabama Phi Mu, etc.) can get free tickets to concerts/clubs, inside deals at designer trunk/fashion shows, and really anything else as long as they leverage their reputation correctly. The most elite chapters, such as the ones mentioned above, are red pill as fuck. They won't accept anyone who even acts the slightest bit slutty, and heavily condemn acting piss drunk at events, gaining weight, not dressing modestly, etc. They're mostly controlled by their alumni base, so they need to keep up a conservative image to please them (aka not lose their funding). This is mostly true in the South, though, as Greek life on the coasts is not as intense/historic.

Agreed. The video was extremely well-done with high quality drone shots and all.

Member dues are the way they raise the majority of their funds. Top sorority houses typically can charge up to $5,000 a semester per member...you do the math; at a large SEC state school where each house has hundreds and hundreds of members, they rake in the dough.

They also have tons of fundraisers. Most of the cash goes to the charity they're affiliated with, for example Delta Gamma's national philanthropy is for blindness. They actually raise a ton of money for their cause, so it's nothing to sneeze at. The top houses take their philanthropy very seriously, and thus are well respected within their school for not just partying and sleeping around 24/7. Some of the fundraisers do go towards raising money for their budget, and of course they have a constant stream of revenue from alums (hence why top houses refuse to damage their reputation by acting slutty).

We had quite a few sororities on my campus, and to be honest I'd never heard of the more attractive girls engaging in behavior like this.
