I believe gold coast has the highest income per household in Chicago, even higher than River North.

It is worth noting that the Gold Coast is the quintessential old money neighborhood within the city limits of Chicago. River North developed much more rapidly in recent times (I think the 90's & beyond ??) so it's a newer phenomenon in comparison. I think that River North had a grittier / art gallery type of feel in the past. The area even had some seedy businesses in the area (in the past) such as porn shops. Even the architecture in the Gold Coast has an older, vintage feel compared to River North. The NY comparison I'd give to the Gold Coast is the Upper East Side or Upper West Side but with some interesting nightlife right in the backyard! (ie. Viagra Triangle area / Rush Street near Division, etc.)

Hey guys. Haven't posted in this thread in a while as this just fucking occurred to me. I'm a student at DePaul University. Me and some friends are throwing a house party (pretty much on campus) this weekend. Literally tomorrow the 9th. Not sure if any of you will even see this in time to come, but if any CHICAGO NATIVES in the lincoln park/north side area or just in general want to come game with me, let me know. I am new to game/pickup/redpill in general and my friends are also somewhat noobs. I was really hoping to get some advice from a legit pick up artist. Anyway. It's a college party so if you come you can pull some college bitches, and we invited a lot of women. If you are interested, message me or something. I'm gonna stop checking this post either tonight or maybe around tomorrow. If you want to come, message me for the address im not gonna post that shit publicly.

PM sent. I notified some of the other Chicago guys, they might be interested. I'm not a pickup artist and if I'm reading this right it's Saturday. I got time to kill, I'll check it out. To be fair I'm not the person to go to for women advice but am more than happy to help career wise. I can talk about mistakes I made career wise, networking, etc. Will talk more in private.

Kanye's shout outs to Summertime Chi are fitting. The city truly is a party during those warm months. Just stay in the nice areas & outside the hood where it is even more a warzone those same months heh.

I posted this in the NYC thread but I’ll post it here because it’s pertinent...

Summertime CHI is the real deal. My buddy got a blumpkin last summer out in an alley in River North.

I was freezing last weekend!

St Paddy's is a must do in Chicago for you young bucks. The amount of available women in that town is great and glad to see there is still a happy hour culture in Chicago.

West Loop is the new hot spot. Its kind of like a brooklyn/tech vibe since Google Opened up. There's a great happy hour at Parlor Pizza. There are a few other bars on West Fulton Market street, there's a cobble stone street with Au Cheval, there are some lounges, an arcade bar, etc.

River North has some good bars. Hubbard has two different bar areas, about a block or two apart. One is more bro-centric with places like El Jefe, etc. The other one a little futher is probably better for girls. Places like Celeste, Joy Division, etc.

I heard Tao is great, I didn't get a chance to go there though.

It wasn't that cold here last weekend, I thought it was nice. You should be here in Jan when the bitches will still go out in short skirts with exposed legs, my gf included lol.

Well, Chicago has elected its first gay-black-woman mayor, so its got that going for it. San Francisco is like, hold my beer.

I miss day gaming in downtown, that was the best.
Just people flooding through the magnificent mile like fish in the ocean.

So sad to hear that Sound-bar had some gunshots fired and one of the bouncer died or something, it was my favorite spot. I am sure it will reopen or already reopened and is in full operation mode..

Hopefully this will put an end to the false narrative that minorities are oppressed in America. This woman checks off three protected classes yet was just elected mayor of the 3rd largest city in the most powerful country in the world.

Between this shooting and the suburban tech CEO that was murdered in a River North alley last year, it may be best to avoid River North nightlife for some time.

I read this entire thread and it's literally bizzaro from what my Chicago experience was like. I've gotten laid by one woman (who was 60 at the time and pretty damn good) and every other time I've struck out with the city folk, especially since they're VERY territorial and look down on suburbanites no matter how close you are. I literally remember hundreds of 7s, 8s and 9s ads on Craigslist that were perfect for me until: "If you're in the suburbs please skip me."

Definitely a lot of truth to this. I used to live out there (both the city & the suburbs), and the city folk would often do this. I'm not even sure if NY folk are this bad (some of them might be lol). Part of it has to do with the hassle & congestion that it requires to go from the city to the suburbs or vice versa. But the more disturbing aspect of it is the pure snobbery of some city folk. Some of these so-called city folk often came from either the suburbs years ago or some other Midwestern metro area (and most likely a suburb!).

Yeah I can see their reasons however I swear they also think taking a train (which is cheap and not that hard to do) is below them. I've always lived near the Metra so while I understand their congestion and hassle issues. I think it's more obvious snobbery and laziness, especially with the entitlement complex that women have had for decades now. Unless you don't live near the train station (which is a valid point and have met 2 or 3 that have been like that) you should and can be able to pay for a train ticket.

I have relatives in the Chicago suburbs and I think the burbs out there are a depressing wasteland of endless mini-malls, personally. And I'm just an occasional visitor.

I totally get why people who live in the city can be snobby, the burbs are truly the Bridge and Tunnel crowd.

Really depends on how far away they are. I've lived a good 40 minutes away from Chicago and now live a good 25 minutes from Chicago now. The farther away the suburbs are, the more affluent but more Bridge and Tunnel they are.

I remember I was in a burb about 45 to an hour away from Chicago and me and my brother got bored so decided to go to Chicago. Ended up a train with a bunch of the B&T crowd. Partying, drinking, etc., I mean it was fun and all, but I can see why people in the city frown upon the weekend warrior types who come into town on the train to party then leave.

It’s been unseasonably cold this spring, even by Chicago standards. The average high on May 10th in Chi historically is 68 yet it was only 51 today. Just went out to do daygame and it was 48. Only was able to talk to one attractive girl. Mostly just families on vacation walking around.

Correct. Call me biased since I work the graveyard shift but Chicago is colder than normal. Better warm up soon!
