Thanks again for the reviews and support. It's awesome!

Gorilla Mindset has been selling well. If you're wondering about how big this "movement" or whatever is...It's growing.

We are a small niche, for sure, but it's a growing niche and far more people are beginning to see the light.

Just bought the paperback. Always feels good to support someone when they've provided so much information for free already.

Gorilla Mindset - Mike Cernovich

I've been meaning to update this thread with some of my thoughts after reading the book. I took notes while I was reading it and highly recommend that others do the same. Since I finished the book I have been trying to implement as much of the material in the book into my life as I can.

Here are some of my favorite bits from the book:

On abundance mentality: Mike reminds us that we all start off with it as children looking at the world with fascination and curiosity but as we grow older we lose it. Since you can control your mindset you can also regain that childlike view of the world and being to see the world differently.

On having a conversation with yourself: I think everyone talks themselves. Mike tries to help us re frame the way we do this. He uses the analogy that if we talked to our friends the way we talk to ourselves we would be friendless. By this he means we are too hard on ourselves and by talking to ourselves in a positive, upbeat way we can build up our self confidence and outlook on the problems in life.

On framing your problems: Mike tries to help us reframe an issue or problem in a different light. For example if you have very difficult problem instead of focusing on the negative try and think how much stronger as a person you will be after you are able to beat the problem. Or to look at the problem from the perspective that it could be much worse when compared to the problems others face right now or historically.

On mood: Mike tries to help us view our mood as something that we can control. He argues that we do not have to accept an emotional state passively and that we can actively change our mood by changing how our mind and body feel.

On attention: Mike makes the case that if want to really focus we must ask ourselves important questions like what do we want more of or less of in our lives? To make an inventory of people, family and things and keep focused on choosing things that bring positive outcomes and avoiding things that lead to negative outcomes.

On your future: Mike tries to get you to visualize your perfect future. He argues that you should imagine your perfect day and to that by using the 5 W's who, what, where, when, why to help create that vision.

There are many more helpful points throughout the book, but the biggest takeaway is how helpful developing the right mindset is for maximizing your life. This book does a great job of exploring ways to help you get the best mindset possible and from the time I finished reading this book to now I have already noticed how beneficial changing my mindset is to improving my life.

^ Great notes, and thanks again for the support. This has been a lot of work but a lot of fun, too, and it really inspires me to keep working knowing you are getting so much value from it.

Mike I also bought the book and I really appreciate the fact that you provided a PDF along with the kindle version. For a non kindle user like me it is very convenient.

I also like your chapter on mindfulness meditation which was especially helpful for me.

The chapter on self talk was good but I would recommend to other readers to supplement it with another book called 'What to Say When You Talk to Your Self' by Shad Helmstetter. Self talk is like having a life coach next to you to motivate you 24/7.

I went through the book once and now I'm about to read it slowly for the second time, this time making notes and trying to implement the advice. Very well written and money well spent.

I'm reading it now. I think it's the best book of 2015 so far easily. I actually liked it enough to get it in paperback in addition to Kindle and Audible, which is rare these days.

I'm in the middle of the audio book which is really great since I've always enjoyed the podcasts. I plan to pick up a paperback copy but in the meantime, the gorilla mindset site is very helpful.

The amount of research and knowledge in the book is mind blowing.

Thanks again Mike!

I have the book and am reading it just to see everything there is to it. Than I will reread and implement the mindset stuff since I believe that is what will help me most the most. I upped my daily NAC supplement from 600 mg to 1.2 grams a day in the morning. Haven't had enough time yet to know if it helps with the depression and anxiety.

I'm a bit confused about the worksheets. Do you write in a notebook everyday and do the drills that frequently? OR is it better to xerox the worksheets for say several months? And do them 3 4 times a week to prevent overtaxing will power?
