I am so glad to see Dave back.
And I'm not surprised to see the MS actress tap out in the same circumstances as last time. Her first appearance she tapped out as soon as the free fish from her gill net dried up. This time they showed her scavenging for onions on day 9, so no fish there.
Time for the MS act! It can't be missing the step-daughter again this time, so it has to be MS and I have to fully commit!
Also, am I wrong or is this the first season where anyone actually got a kill with the bow?

This season is really shaping up to be one of the most interesting ones.
Not too many bad luck location choices, everyone's skills are decent enough to survive, and almost all the struggle is mental.
The latest tap-out because of getting depressed by the colour of the tarp they'd chosen? Hilarious.
The incredibly angry man and his crusade to drive the mice in his shelter crazy? Also great.

Randy has a bad ass house. I think dave is a huge pussy for crying on camera about eating animals.

Late to this thread, but intrigued by the series, which season would you recommend I download first?

I agree with all of your assessments. This season is shaping up great so far. I think based on what i've seen from this and Naked and Afraid the Loneliness and mental aspect is the greatest challenge. I think all of them have built great shelters and so far food sources are kinda okay.. but alas. Winter is coming and we all know this is where they will start dropping like flies.

Finished the current series. Really amazing ending.
Without too many spoilers, it was truly 'manly' in a very old-school way, coming down to who was willing to suffer the longest for their family.
The winner's speech really got me in the feels.

There are no cameramen with these contestants. They are completely alone and film everything themselves. They have an emergency beacon if they are seriously hurt and have a tap out call they can make when they want to go home. It's more real than the show Alaskan bush family which was totally fake and all lies.

I was happy for the winner, but honestly he had an unfair advantage. No spoilers, but those of you that know who it was can guess what I mean. He sucked, and that advantage carried him through.
