Canada's top general attacked, saying men are "biologically wired in a certain way"

In what's almost a repeat of the whole issue with the Nobel laureate, a very high level person is being attacked as a misogynist for off the cuff remarks.

He was asked in an interview why he thinks the issue of sexual harassment continues in the Canadian military, and he replied "...it’s because we’re biologically wired in a certain way and there will be those who believe it is a reasonable thing to press themselves and their desires on others."

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/military...-1.3115993

Essentially he said "men like sex, and some of them can't control themselves". If anything it's a slight towards men. I am amazed how people can challenge that position. He was just trying to explain where it came from. The people calling for his head are saying he's excusing the behavior with 'boys will be boys'.

I'm amazed that allegations of harassment are still common place. Any sort of company or organization is now is trying their damndest to avoid even the appearance of it because they're well aware of the toxicity it brings.

They're literally attacking and ruining the upper echelons of the .0001% who historically would have gotten a 'success pass' over what are comments and opinions. Comments and opinions which can't be shown to have materialized. If sexism is so rife, where are the cases of actual abuses? Like where the boss says 'sleep with me or your fired'? 'sleep with me for a promotion'? Proof of actual wage discrimination with names and numbers that equal work doesn't warrant equal pay? The women run HR/Admin so they have access to all the numbers.

Change one detail in that quote, and it becomes feminist approved.

This will be interesting to watch unfold, because Canada's military is something unique. Its voluntary, small, low almost anti-prestige to belong to in the eyes of the normal canadian population yet inside its ranks its member are very proud of what they do. No one ever says "ah, graduating high school...might as well join the service" Its more like "I've been in cadets since I was a kid, I've wanted to be in the armed forces since I was 14"

Those in the forces I've known have either been gigantic blood thirsty reincarnations of cave men, neo nazis who love guns, crazy frenchmen or people who's dads' dads have always been in the military. Their insanity falls in line with historic accounts of canadian forces in battle as well as stories I hear from modern US vets that are essentially "those canadians were crazy and/or drunk all the time"

I can't imagine how any sort of female membership goes over, or is accepted, or even respected on some sort of remote arctic airbase etc. Its a small, tight club and no one is just there for the "GI Bill" or the benefits. They are there because they want to be.

Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Psalm 2:1 KJV

Kind of like that crazy theory that men are "biologically wired" to have penises. Such shocking, backwards thinking.

These people tend to be atheists and love science-- except when it comes to biology.

Men and women differ by 1 to 2 percent of their genomes, which is the same as the difference between a man and a male chimpanzee or between a woman and a female chimpanzee.

Feminist logic: Any difference between a human male and a male chimpanzee is a social construct.

I'm getting more annoyed now that these high level men are getting such shoddy advice from who ever thier staffers and handlers are.

In 2015 with the social media tornado that swirls around it is wise to say nothing or nothing of weight. You need a POTUS approach to the media where every lined is filters, scripted, and controlled or you don't say a anything. CBC pressed for the access for a exclusive sit down interview, you control the narrative and tone in that setting. I would not let myself even being guaded into having to speak the truth, it isn't worth it these days. Sell the sizzle and leave ant meat out of it. Let the truth come out in reports that some soilders are more prone to try and gobble nuts in the barracks, let that all come out on its own.

Its hard for me to feel sorry for these men more and more. Some how a light bulb has to shine that anything you say will be used against you so it is best not to say anything (of weight) at all.

I feel the same way from time to time, but then I reflect on the fact that this is often a survival tactic used by those living in a tyrannical state.

Terrorizing people into not speaking the truth is a great way to control large groups and warp their minds.

When Kruschev took power in the USSR he reformed the gulag system put in place by Stalin. The Soviets realized that it wasn't necessary to imprison every dissident in Siberia because the entire country was essentially a prison. So what they would often do, if you were a troublemaker who they felt expressed wrong opinions, was take away your job and therefore your ability to provide for yourself.

The howling SJW mob has adopted a similar strategy. Disagree with them and they'll try to take away your job.

As soon as we start criticizing people for being foolish enough to speak the truth in the face of all this bullshit we start behaving as if we're the prisoners of these freaks. While it might be good for an individual to do this to preserve their livelihood it is not good for those who value the truth.

I see your point, but I think the bigger issue as others have pointed out is that these people shouldn't be forced into that corner. You have people who've been knighted with Nobel prizes, generals in charge of an entire country's military, a guy who landed a probe on a frigging comet. These are the caliber of people you'd be lucky to meet, let alone become.

Let them speak, if you disagree there's a slight chance you're the one who is wrong. Maybe wait until after you get back from the ceremony in Sweden, or until you get some maple leafs (or stars) on your shoulder before you expect them to entertain your nonsense.

What's the point of even having a head of a military or any sort of leader if he's just going to sit there saying safe, PC commentary that appeals to the lowest common denominator who no one can disagree with?

I think part of it is that no one respect academic or other accomplishments any more in the west. University is a joke, Nobel prize winners are uncool nerds who probably aren't even on instagram, and anyone who has even a bit of money is a crooked 1%er who's fucked over the masses somehow. Contrast this viewpoint with say SE Asia. Rich, knowledgeable people are looked up to, and no one seems to have a problem with "young, attractive woman" being a legitimate job requirement.

Many liberals are guilty of committing the moralistic fallacy; namely, if a trait is moral it must be found in nature and if a trait is immoral, it must be a social construct that didn't occur naturally. The fear being if violent sexual impulses have any basis in human nature that would legitimize them. When you see the fear stated so explicitly you obviously see the flaw in it. Natural does not de facto imply it's acceptable or good. You can actually hold the position that something can occur naturally and also be morally wrong.

Unfortunately delusional PC folks inhabit this world: what ought to be, is.
Whereas most rational people inhabit this world: what is, is.

The truth is irrelevant. This is how they fire men they do not want. He will be replaced with a nice, compliant female or fag general now.

I find it disrespectful that certain groups of people (SJWs and Anglo western feminists, in particular) have no respect to Mother Nature, biology, and anatomy.

Both groups keep on barking like lapdogs they truly are, while using it to hide their inner lamentations, receiving punishment for failing their biological wiring.
