Can I get your guys perspective on how legitimate of a candidate Bernie Sanders is? I really don't pay attention to politics, but the idea of someone swooping in and taking the Democratic nod from Hillary is hilarious to me. But I am genuinely curious about him. I'm gonna do my due diligence and read up on his (stated) politics, but what is the "real deal" with the guy?
The Donald Trump thread
----Bernie Sanders is an old socialist who thinks if we had a 90% tax rate, the economy would improve.
Somehow he thinks people will work hard to succeed just to give it all to the government.
Somehow he thinks people will work hard to succeed just to give it all to the government.
The man is a truth in advertising socialist populist who believes wholeheartedly in redistribution of wealth and that 536 USA Billionaires controlling 90%+ of the Nations assets is too much concentration of wealth - this resonates however when Government steps in the breach to redistribute wealth it is the middle class that bears the brunt while the Billionaires can globalize their statist risks and protect assets over seas in numerous offshore corporate entities in the name of doing international business in a globalized world with armies of lobbyists protecting these asset protection and global tax minimization structures...
On Bernie Sanders, he said on an CNBC interview with John Harwood that his tax policy would introduce a 90% marginal tax rate. I at least appreciate his honesty in that he's not trying to pretend that the Eisenhower era tax rates were the effective rate like most socialists. He's pretty upfront about his views and intentions, whereas most in his place would try and subversively trick listeners and viewers into believing the wealthy in the 1960s actually paid 90% of their incomes in taxes.
Bernie Sanders is a gun control politician who is softer in his actual rhetoric than Diane Feinstien. It took a little bit of research to figure him out since his rhetoric has often mirrored that of the NRA. He has voted to protect gun manufacturers from being sued if their guns are used in a crime. He voted for the automatic assault rifle ban. That's reasonable. Instant background checks, debatably so. He is from Vermont. But, he is for banning semi-automatics, which is the only class of weapons that matters. Banning semi-automatics in effect disarms Americans. He knows this.
So he is slimy in that regard... this is the senator of Vermont, the single most pro-firearm state and he is backstabbing them.
He is explicitly against the TPP, and is a long-time critic of its predecessor NAFTA. He is for breaking up the banks.
He's the opposite of Trump on matters of illegal immigration. He voted against declaring English the official declaration of the United States, against a fence along the border, or prioritizing legal visas for skilled workers over unskilled ones. I'm just going to say those views are consistent with a pro-blanket-amnesty politician even though he hasn't said it outright. I mean, I can almost get behind him on his point on H1B visas. Most of the most prolific employers of these H1B guest workers have been offshore tech companies. This is where we don't need job competition from Indians. I'd rather have Mexicans who are willing to do the hard work in manual labor and contribute something to the country. If you're okay with the Mexicanization of the United States, it's not a terrible outcome. If he said he was against deportation, but was for securing the border, that would be the compromise I'd settle for. But the Democrats are too greed for new votes.
He's not a corporatist, but that's all that can be said for him. Under a Sanders presidency the federal government continues to become more expansive and domineering than it already is. Gun rights would further erode when he is able to break his bond with his Vermont constituency and use executive orders.

Apparently, his and his supports' arguments are simply "well Sweden does it."
I don't like Bernie Sanders on a lot of what he says, but I think that he's at least a man with convictions that isn't a bought and sold puppet of the corporate-politico-military-media-industrial complex. Obviously Webb is my preferred choice for the Democrats but that's a huge long shot. It would be very satisfying if he were to somehow derail, or help in derailing, Hilldebeast.
What I'm seeing with the momentum of guys like Trump and Sanders is that the American public are very, very, pissed off. As the corporate-politico-military-media-industrial complex continues to try to divide with their SJW outrage machine and wave red herrings in the form of the Confederate flag while the geek faggots at Apple Brave New World people, women in particular, with their latest smartphone that jacks you off at the same time and cooks your toast for you in the morning, beneath it all is a magma chamber of angry, pissed off Americans that are sick of the bullshit that is just waiting to erupt and burn this degenerate corruption to ashes.
Whether guys like Trump or Sanders cause this eruption or whether it's just a false alarm remains to be seen, but as I mentioned before, one reason for the Progressive Era as embodied by guys like TR was because during the late 19th century, populist candidates were getting a lot of votes and a lot of momentum, even though they never won anything. We may be headed in that same direction.
Tuth said a while ago that the only political dichotomy now is between pussy and non-pussy. Trump and Sanders are both decidedly non-pussy, no matter what else you want to say about them.

Again, guys like that don't actually "cause" the eruption.
One of the bigest mistakes that Westerners make when analyzing history is that we get overly focused on analyzing the exact personalities involved. We love to go on endlessly about Mao, Stalin, and Hitler and speculate about what would have happened if they had been assassinated.
That's the wrong way to look at it. If Hitler had been assassinated, most likely very little would have changed(although you might not have seen Jews specifically targeted for persecution). The underlying economic, social, and political conditions of the Weimar Republic were intolerable for the working class and practically guaranteed that a bombastic madmen would end up taking advantage of those conditions and rising to power.
We've got a similar situation now. The frustration is nearing a point that makes it likely that a bombastic, aggressive asshole is going to take power in the United States.
Trump and Sanders aren't going to "cause" that turning event but they're both smart enough to step on the stage at a time that allows them to take advantage of the anti establishment rage.

Don't take it too literally. The question isn't based entirely on them, personally, it just looks like someone or something will. These two guys might be those someone (or someones), or they might not. The bubble hasn't popped yet, but something will eventually cause it to do so.
Can Trump take the Black vote and bridge the race gap? Here he is with the father of the slain footballer killed by an illegal:

Here is Snoop Dogg from a few years back giving Trump a roast but really just praising the hell out of him. Skip to 4:35 (NSFW):
Lots of respect for Trump in the rap world because he's a Big Man and rappers love that. They love the fact he's a pimp with women as well.
Now let's go to the flip side of the racial interests with Kevin MacDonald (the guy whose work Roosh praised) in the Whiteosphere:

Pretty amazing Trump can court both Blacks and Whites by singling out Hispanics. It's a winning combo if he can pull it off at the voter box.

But because of his celebrity status, Trump managed to get the criminality of illegal aliens on the national agenda. Even the New York Times covered it. And because of his wealth, he could run a viable presidential campaign without tapping into the billions of Sheldon Adelson, Larry Ellison, Norman Braman or the rest of the Republican Jewish Coalition as Marco Rubio (among others) is doing and by making war with Iran the most important question for Americans to decide in the 2016 election. Incidentally, Rubio agrees with the Democrats that passing the Gang of Eight immigration amnesty/surge bill would have prevented the Steinle murder (despite the fact that that bill would have lavishly funded sanctuary cities).
Which means that Trump could attempt to run as an independent on issues like displacement-level immigration, opposition to free trade, and national sovereignty. Such a campaign would resonate with a very large segment of White America, and it would certainly dash the hopes for anyone else the Republican money decides to nominate (including the despicable Jeb Bush who said that he took Trump’s comments personally because of his Mexican wife and Mestizo children).
What the establishment fears most is a highly visible, personally attractive, honest, populist candidate who cannot be shut out of the media and with enough money to run a viable campaign. It happened in 1992 with the candidacy of Ross Perot, and it is quite possible that such a candidacy would just make it easier for Hillary (adjectives for Hilary fail me) to win. But the choice between Jeb et al. and Hillary is really no choice at all given that the neocons have pretty much all of them in their thrall, and they basically agree on key issues for Whites like immigration (with the possible exception of Scott Walker). And that would pave the way for a new political party after 2016 that would begin to address the interests of the traditional American people.
In any case, the Republican Party, the party of big business and the Israel Lobby, richly deserves to die unless it can appeal to the legitimate interests of its base—White America of all social classes, both sexes, and all age groups — all of which voted for Romney even though he hardly represented their interests.
Obviously, Trump may be a false hope. But there certainly are other Whites who could undergo a conversion experience and use their celebrity status, and their money (or could attract enough money—a Charles Lindbergh-like figure comes to mind) to make it happen. It’s not over until it’s over.
Pretty amazing Trump can court both Blacks and Whites by singling out Hispanics. It's a winning combo if he can pull it off at the voter box.

Simple reply is to ask him how much of his tax money he pays, that he is bitching about paying, that he actually gets back in tax refunds at the end of the year. And how much of that goes to another country, especially in the form of child tax credits for kids that don't even live in the USA.
Need more Trump in here. I'm dying for new content.

I am unabashedly a Stand For Rand guy. I've even sent some money, not a ton, but just several small donations around Campaign time.
Trump is a huge X-Factor. As 20 year old Liberal I HATED Patrick J. Buchanan. I went through my liberal phase where I thought Michael Kinsely was what women wanted. Went from being BMOC jock Alpha in HS banging or at least getting with so many hot chicks, to being an un-confident Beta puss in two years thinking I was doing what society wanted.
Around 1992 I flipped, and as such became a big fan of Patrick J Buchanan. You see what I hated about Pat was that I was a fake liberal and his arguments on Crossfire were always right.
Two things made me flip
1. Multiculturalism was already being bandied about
2. I grew up in a Union family thinking I was supposed to be a democrat but in subscribing to The Nation and New Republic I came to learn what Liberals really represented.
I wanted Buchanan to beat Bush in the worst way. The Fucking GOP pulled out the Anti-Semitism card on Pat and Bush was able to pull away. Even when I was a "democrat" in those young years what I really was, was a nationalist. Even down to buying American cars. Pat warned, and was catching on, and they sunk him. Then Ross Perot saw that and threw his hat in the ring only to fuck it up later.
Donald Trump nearly ran in Pat Buchanan's party.
I am crossing my fingers and hoping he's a Paleo-Con. However Pat was never pro-Israel and that worries me that Trump is a big Israel guy that he's just as tight with the big bankers/zionists as anyone.
Yet he is fucking killing it right now.
GOP and Dem leadership are not listening to the American People. They are cramming shit down our throats we don't agree with and doing it in unison. I've never witnessed anything like this in my 46 years, maybe 28 of which I've followed politics.
- Eric Snowden is a traitor - Most (not Rand Paul)
- TPA/TPP - Disgustingly secret. Why?
- NSA spying in general
- Forced Multiculturalism in refusing to enforce border laws.
- Rubio wanting to increase Guest Workers by 3X what it is today
I think Trump is a Snowden hater which bugs me. But I love what Trump is doing right now.
My hope is he runs all RINOs out, (Jeb Bush, Rubio, Graham etc.) Eliminate the voice of John McCain and Mitch McConnell for good. Rand Paul supposedly has an outstanding ground game in New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina. I look for very well respected Jim DeMint to come out in support of Paul. He was very angry with the treatment of Ron Paul in 2012.
Can you imagine the fucking GOP insiders if after Iowa, NH and South Carolina that Trump and Rand Paul are the only two really left standing? You'll see guys like Lindsey start talking about changing parties I bet. The GOP insiders will be fucked because for the first time since Reagan a true populist candidate who is speaking things that Americans want to hear will be destined for the nomination.
Crossing my fingers Trump is a Nationalist and not a Globalist. His rhetoric so far backs that up but we'll see.
A Rand Paul/Donald Trump ticket is exactly the molotov cocktail we need to burn this whole corrupt edifice to the ground. I'm saying a prayer that there are strategists in both campaigns who realize the nitroglycerine grade combo that would be. The political elite should honestly be on board with this, if hubris hasn't completely pozz'd their brains they'll realize it's a whole lot better to lose an election than to end up swinging from a lamp post.
It's pathetic that the GOP in Washington has been asleep over the past 6 1/2 years, so the resistance movement's leader (almost by default) is ironically an outsider who had shown little sign of resistance himself until about a month ago.
I forget how this goes but the gist goes something like "When there is a dearth of leadership, people will follow anyone who makes an effort".
I forget how this goes but the gist goes something like "When there is a dearth of leadership, people will follow anyone who makes an effort".
“….and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say… we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.
- President Donald J. Trump
If 2016 isn't proof that politics is carefully crafted theatre, then I'm not sure what is.

32 Million views, I wonder how many of those viewers can actually vote? What's amazing is just how easily the average person is sucked into the media spin of Trump talking about all Mexicans versus illegals. As if Trump is against normal immigration or as if Trump hates all Mexicans.
If the average American is that stupid, we're looking at serious problems in the future. Get ready for Hillary! #GoodbyeAmerica

^^^ well I hate to say it but the average man & woman in the US is pretty brainwashed and too easily misled at this point. The media spin is incessant and geared in such a way that you feel like you're doing the "right thing" even though it goes against logic, nature, biological family values (e.g. gay marriage) or your own personal financial well being ("free-trade", the TPP, etc.).
So (unfortunately) I think President Hillary is a done deal but hope I'm proved wrong. I wish one of her opposing candidates on the Republican or Dem side would just confront her in a debate re all her incredibly corrupt and slimy back door dealings, or her extreme liberalism / Feminism / misandry (using that stupid "Women have always been the primary victims of war" quote + gazillions of others), or her stupid foreign policy mistakes while SecState, or her email scandal, or Vince Foster, etc. etc. But I don't think it will be allowed to work my the liberal mainstream media.
The truth is she's got the "progressive" mainstream media in the bag (just like Obama did) and they will support and promote her as "the first woman president" 24-7. She's also got the neocon Israel-lobby crew supporting her with huge $$$s so she can go toe-to-toe funding-wise against any Republican Sheldon Adelson-backed candidate who tried to go after her as a "weak foreign policy" candidate.
Thus we're likely to get neocon light on the foreign policy side and full on SJW-retard domestic policymakers (!). That's going to be an utter disaster.

Agreed. I think President Hillary is a foregone conclusion. As much dirt as they have on her at this point, and nothing sticks thanks to the main stream media protecting her as you pointed out.
I am more excited about Trump because he is waking up the sleeping giant. The beta males who just keep allowing women and the system to shit all over them and never once stand up for themselves. Slowly Trump is waking these men up.
To be honest, if Trump does not win, and I don't think he will, I would prefer Hillary to win. She will be so bad and the country will be in such bad shape by that time, that the chance of complete failure is almost guaranteed. And then Trump and his backers can say "see, we told you" or if things get bad enough maybe the average man will realize what a complete disaster it is allowing women to vote and the discussion will begin to remove them from the voting booth.
Hillary will be the big reveal of who the beta-male white-knight feminists in this country are, for sure. Already I find comments online of men who say they will leave the democrat plantation and vote for Trump (see attached).
I've already seen the men in the real world who said they'd vote for Hillary, all of them are giant pussies. In fact, the guys who vote for Hillary should be excluded from any forum, organization, or future State in America that covers men's interests.
Any man who votes for Hillary identifies himself as a beta-male white-knight feminist traitor. I do hope those voting records go public so these men can be identified and handled when America goes bankrupt.

The "automatic assault rifle ban" you reference was actually the Assault Weapons Ban, which would ban semi-automatic rifles and handguns that had 'military features' like standard capacity magazines and birdcage flash hiders. It has nothing to do with automatic weapons. You've been duped.
