The big question here is what is the U.S? And what would you be fighting for?

It's not a nation built on common ethnic/cultural lines. The uniting factor used to be common ideals (the free market, all men are created equal, free speech,etc)

But now we've become a multi-ethnic hodepodge society that's politically fractured. There's nothing to fight for.

Yes. As fucked up as some aspects of our country are, it still preserves alot of peace in this world. Without the USA there would be a huge draconian power grab by China/Russia.
We definitely need a healing in our country. The looney bin crazy pants contingent has had too much time at the microphone. Time for them to sit the fuck down. A contagious virus like Ebola might do that. A natural disaster is probably.on the horizon. A huge earthquake maybe too.
