Wow.

Put a bell curve on the bust-size graph (I don't know waist numbers) right at the 34 mark, for "Ideally attractive". In 1958, the majority of women fall into the attractiveness scale; 30's on the skinny side, 38's on the cuddly side.

Standards haven't changed since then; but what we find is the majority of women are on the "ham beast" tail. Gross.

Hilarious roasting vid of a fat-activist comic about a supposedly Orwellian time where the government uses active means to curb the obesity epidemic. Most of those measures in the comic are stating the truth about fat being unhealthy, about restricting you to buy pie and fried chicken when your BMI is too high. Oh - and the government shut down most fast food joints. But that is all so wrong.....

By the way - the vid was done by a guy who was obese as a teen. He still ruthlessly makes fun of fat people.

Let’s face facts.

We’ve lost the war on obesity. Fighting fat hasn’t made the fat go away. And being thinner, even if we knew how to successfully accomplish it, will not necessarily make us healthier or happier. The war on obesity has taken its toll.

Extensive “collateral damage” has resulted: Food and body preoccupation, self-hatred, eating disorders,
discrimination, poor health, etc. Few of us are at peace with our bodies, whether because we’re fat or because we fear becoming fat.

Health at Every Size is the new peace movement.

Beautiful Russian Girl Loses Looks, Memory and Eyesight in Horrific Car Accident

This girl deserves no fat shaming and is probably one of the real examples in the thread who deserve sympathy and have an actual excuse for their weight gain.

I just found the transformation terrific. The crooked eyes are due to the accident, but how many girls put on so many pounds, cut their hair and look like the post-accident woman while they could actually be stunning?

A shitload in the West it is.

A full figured woman was fat shamed when she went to the bakery to buy a half dozen cupcakes. So she decided to teach them an EPIC lesson ... by buying ALL the cupcakes. And getting free chocolates and cookies. That'll learn them.

Quote:Quote:

A teenager who was fat-shamed at a bakery spent $54 (£38) buying every cupcake in the store - to spite the woman who taunted her.

Vega Blossom was waiting in line at her favourite bakery in Valparaiso, Indiana on Saturday when she overheard a woman in her forties standing behind her say "let's hope this fat b**** doesn't buy all the cupcakes".

The 19-year-old had originally planned on buying only six cupcakes, but then decided to purchase the shop's entire stock of 20 to teach the rude onlooker a lesson.

Barista and student Vega's viral post describing her "petty" reaction to the incident - which occurred just before closing time during an Easter sale - has since racked up more than 67,000 likes and 23,000 shares on Facebook.

Vega Blossom's post about her sweet revenge quickly went viral.

Vega, who wears a dress size US 18 (NZ 22), said: "When I heard the nasty things the women said, I honestly wanted to cry. It really hurt my feelings.

"How could these grown women be so mean to someone they've never met, let alone talked to?

"Growing up a chubbier girl, I always got snide comments about my weight from people who, for some reason, think it's their business.

"Things like this usually wouldn't bug me, but the fact that I didn't know these women, and they said this so rudely and loudly-so I could obviously hear it-was different than other times.

"But I swallowed the hurt and thought of the best possible thing I could do back to them that wasn't horrible, but that would trach them a lesson about respecting others.

"Hopefully this was a lesson in treating others kindly, and maybe a lesson in karma as well."

Vega said when she first entered the shop she overheard the women making loud and rude comments about the person at the front of the queue, who was taking a substantial amount of time deciding which cake to purchase.

She said staff at the bakery, which she does not want to name, overheard the woman's comments about her weight, and gave her additional chocolates and cookies free of charge in support.

Vega claims the clearly displeased older woman, and her friend, sneered at her as she made her purchase of 20 mega-sized cupcakes-each the size of three regular cupcakes.

But she got her final revenge on them as she walked out of the bakery.

Vega said: "I looked the pair straight in the eye and asked 'could you please open the door for me? My hands are a bit full.

"Reluctantly, one woman held the door open before following me outside.

"I think, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I am NOT sorry for taking all of the cupcakes."

Vega shared the spoils with her co-workers, friends and family over the Easter break, before posting the story to social media.

On Facebook, she wrote: "Tonight, I was really petty.

"I bought every damn cupcake. I spent $54 on cupcakes just to be a b***h."

I'm sure since she only intended on buying 6 cupcakes that she only ate 6 cupcakes (yeesh).

Seems like life can be a fat struggle when you are fat. That's it girl, girl power, buy all those cupcakes! What a fat badass.

We will stand tall in the sunshine
With the truth upon our side
And if we have to go alone
We'll go alone with pride

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. But this Western notion of individualism and tolerance is by no means a conception in all cultures. - Theodore Dalrymple

With a name like that, it's obvious her parents did a poor job raising her. Perhaps she shouldn't shoulder all the blame.

Does anyone really believe that this incident actually happened as described? It reeks of a story that's been embellished beyond all but a superficial resemblance to true events to make the teller the heroine of a self-serving morality play, designed to reap the sweetly addictive likes and shares of her social media audience.

Note that she's put so much effort into painting herself as the hero of the piece and courting adulation for her courage in the face of social injustice that she overlooked the fact that the plot of her too-precious vignette doesn't make sense. She walks in, and the rude women are already in line, huffy that they've been waiting for an indecisive customer ahead of them. Suddenly, they're behind her in line, making rude comments about her buying all the cupcakes. She then proceeds out of spite to buy all the cupcakes to prevent them from buying any, an action that would have been irrelevant had they already made their purchases ahead of her.

She somehow ended up with Walter Mitty's hamster.

How about a bit of a good-news spin on the Fat People thread:

Man drops 326 pounds after needing two plane seats in evacuation from Fort McMurray fire

Quote:Quote:

His weight got in the way of someone escaping the Fort McMurray wildfire and Tony Bussey, 43, vowed that would never happen again.

He dropped 326 pounds.

In May 2016, everyone thought the worst of the Fort McMurray fire was behind them and they were out of its reach.

Workers, including Bussey, a heavy equipment tire changer, had been sent back to camp and things were moving forward, when, unexpectedly, the fire picked up again.

Planes were brought in to evacuate the site.

"The fire, for all the destruction, and for all the hell that it caused … it saved my life," Bussey said.

When he arrived at the airport, staff shuffled him to the front of the line because of his weight. It was attention he hated but was becoming used to.

At that point, Bussey weighed 567 pounds. He struggled to put on his socks. He wore size 66 pants.

And he needed two seats on an airplane.

"Seeing people having to wait because I was too fat to sit next to, that was it for me," he said.

"It was like, 'I've got to do something about this.'"

TL;DR - guy feels guilty about bumping others from rescue flight because he needed 2 seats on the evac plane, decides to drop a shitton of weight.

Good on him, I just hope he keeps it off.

^ Put a 567 pound woman in that situation and the news article would be "Woman fat-Shamed During Natural Disaster" and she'd be whining that the way people spoke to her and looked at her as her gigantic moo cow ass blocked exit routes made her feel bad and those people giving her the stink eye were the problem.

Good for this guy. I hope he sticks with it. And he can afford the surgery to get rid of the excess skin.

Whereas a woman would just blame the plane manufacturer for not making the plane seats big enough to accommodate her big, beautiful body.
