Maximize your Looks: Shaggy Jesus x Clean Cut

Guys,
when it comes to maximize your looks,I always heard guys and girls talking about the clean cut guy x Shaggy/Jesus guy (Roosh's current style).

I had a female friend back in college that "reproved" my looks everytime I was clean shaven ,although my beard its not very good and full.

PUA Paul Janka stands for keeping a scruff always, regardless of how you look/ethnicity ,because gives you a more stud ,cave man style, acting in the girl's subconscious .

But I don't like this commercial PUA crap,so I don't read Mistery/etc and I don't know what is the common sense about this(if there is any).

What do you guys think?

I'd say it has to do with your overall style. If you, like me, don suits and designer shoes the clean cut will compliment it.

If you want more of a bohemian look the scruff is the way to go. I don't think you need to make it any more complex than that.

I find it hilarious when people like this are speaking with some kind of assumed authority on complex neurology/psychology. He's merely making an assumption on his own experiences. That is all. At best he could make a connection between girls that the cave man style works with and how an unshaven look also works for them (duh!).

For whatever reason I seem to have more success when I grow my beard out. I'm also headed in the Jesus direction, as I haven't cut my hair since last September (it was shaved then). I'm thinking about going back to shaving my head and trimming my beard down for the summer though.

What about guys with a shaved head (bald) who can´t grow hair?? Should we keep a beard or not?

Do bald guys have a disadvantage?

I basically have the opposite response. I can't stray more than two days away from a clean shave or my response rate plummets. I grow patchy, and anything beyond the lightest of stubbles makes me looks poor or FOB (and I don't mean in a cool, exotic way).

I think optimizing your look is a very personal thing. What lands nicely on some guys looks terrible on others. You have to take things like body type, height, age, ethnicity, and even location into account.

For looks, you must experiment. Try out lots of different styles and see which gets you the most attention.

good topic, something that was on my mind last week

Until a few days ago, i was rocking stubble all the time. I decided to shave off all the stubble and go the clean cut route. The result was that older women and men alike treated me better and with more respect at work. I didnt really notice a change with people in my age group(young adults)

I also noticed my personality changed a bit. With my beard i didnt seem to care about things as much. With a clean face i seem to worry about how i am perceived and the judgments of others; though it could be that i am self conscience about it

I think this applies to me to, which is why I'm considering just abandoning the clean cut look all together.

I think having a beard makes me look older. When I have a beard girls think I'm 26.

I shaved for a job interview the other day. Some lady said she thought I was in high school.

I'm done shaving. Even for job interviews. Fuck if they want me to look "conservative", I don't feel like myself when I'm clean cut like that. It kills some of my swagger (for lack of a better word).

I don't think that bald guys have a disadvantage if they have style..hit the gym and shave your head 100%(very important).
You have plenty of bald alpha types out there...Vin diesel,Chris Daughtry,Bruce Willis and several UFC fighters.

If you're going to grow your beard out and look scruffy, it'll only work for you if you feel comfortable with it.

If you're going to shave and look clean-cut, it'll only work for you if you feel comfortable with it.

This is what I did and I finally settled on a beard. Now that I've gotten used to it, I'd never shave it off. If shaving my beard meant Christina Hendricks would lick my balls, I would have dry balls.

I think there needs to be a middle ground though. I wear a full beard, but I'm nowhere near shaggy Jesus. I trim mine down to a #2 on a standard electric clipper. Its always there, but I never let it get very long.

One thing I will say is that Roosh and others have stated before its good to "not look like every other guy around you" and I Think most guys do roll with the clean look, especially white guys. I dont know if its a strive for the "frat boy" look or maybe its DCs stick-up-ass business minded nature, but I noticed about 75% of white guys seem to have short hair and no beard.

All this being said, I've been told by many girls on many occasions that they arent into guys with beards, but on me it looks good. I dont know if this is meant to be a bad attempt at a backhanded compliment or what, but I hear it all the time.

I do whatever takes less time to get ready to go out at night/leave in the morning, and generally it is more comfortable, easier, and probably more attractive. I think if you can rock your hair/facial hair look - clothes are the other half of it. I get told a lot by girls that I look like "edward" from twilight, or that I look Romanian (or other EE country) - the edward part can be degrading, and makes me die a little inside every time I hear it, but actually works out alright in the end - I just roll with it. I always dress with fitted slacks/khakis, and a light sweater with a scarf or button down. Never fails. As far as hair goes, my rule is that if I have to spend more than 30 seconds making it work, it has to change. I just get out of the shower, swipe some cream through it and let it do whatever. If you dress sharp, you can look like shaggy jesus or clean cut (whichever is EASIER) and it's game on. This only applies to my experiences here in the states though, and I am still an apprentice of the game - but that's my opinion

I have a goatee and keep my hair buzzed or military faded. I don't feel comfortable having hair but I've thought about growing it out a few times just to experiment
