Whether it's a legit mid-life crisis or just a cross-roads, I'm ready for a change.
Born and raised in NY, I've got slightly more edge than most of these boring preppy types here in DC, where I've been for the past 20 years. Actually, it's the Northern VA area to be exact, pleasant/upscale but with ridiculous costs of living. Cool, club vibe is my preferred archetype/style, even though I'm not really into clubbing/nightlife. And skinny, white, college-aged party girls is what I most adore, primarily the look but also the outgoing, fun personality type.
Late 40's and divorced/no kids, I take excellent care of myself and date lots of college-aged girls, mostly from online, and usually 6's/7's. Whether online or real world, many of these chicks guess that I'm late 20's even. And I tend to do well with the 20% or so that like older guys. Most have been short-term flings, while others even wanted something more serious. Usually, I've declined since I'm still holding out for at least an 8 and/or that perfect personality, which I may never actually find.
Dating has been fun but also time-consuming and sometimes frustrating. While I'm very happily divorced and enjoying the freedom, I also feel somewhat rudderless and lacking purpose at times. Then again, waking up beside some sweet, naked little hottie more than half my age makes it all worthwhile...at least temporarily.
Job-wise I'm self-employed and do okay, even though this area is pretty expensive. But what's esp. nice is the freedom of working from home or anywhere really, making my own schedule etc. with most of this being passive income. I'm certainly not rich, but the autonomy is very nice, and I've got a basic comfort level, at least out here.
So all this backstory now leads up to the big question: After 20 years I'm ready to sell the big suburban home and move on...but where???
Affordable cost of living is a priority. I'm not in debt, but I really don't have much in the way of savings either. Downsizing to a townhome or condo would be fine. I'm also accustomed to living somewhere upscale and not too isolated or rural. Then again, being in the heart of a very bustling city really isn't my style either. Waterfront and/or beach would be ideal.
Having an abundance of hot friendly women is a must. So that's why I'm thinking Gio's setup near several college campuses sounds perfect. Even though lots of people on these boards favor overseas for women, quality of life, cost of living etc. I find the cultural differences too extreme as I'm most attracted to young, skinny white girls and understand the personality type very well.
It would mostly be daygame or even better, getting with a cool group of friends to develop social circle through other dudes and chicks. Given the age differences involved, I still may have better success meeting them one on one though?! And even though good-looking sweet late 20's/early 30's are virtually non-existent here in DC, I'd be open to dating older elsewhere. Likewise, if I met the right one, settling down could even be a possibility eventually.
But this is def. going to be a huge step leaving everyone behind, so ideally I'd like to find a place that's friendly and welcoming, if that even exists anymore?! Since I'm able to work from anywhere, that's irrelevant to where I live. Warm weather would be nice too. And my parents are getting older, living in Central FL, so being closer to them could make some sense. Then again, I've heard good things about Charleston, Cali, AZ and TX.
Landing an adjunct professor job would be ideal as that would provide additional side $$$ with low time commitment, but more importantly, access to college cuties, status, and sense of belonging/built-in social circle. I've got advanced degrees, but no experience. So I'm not really sure about how I'd land one of those positions. Perhaps, that could be the motivating factor dictating where I decide to live?!
Based on all the above and personal or even second-hand experiences, what would people here suggest???
