I'd definitely stay away from a top tier club that night (Hakkasan, XS or Omnia). Its going to be super expensive and its going to be more show-offs than girls wanting to hookup. I'd also watch the fight somewhere within EASY WALKING distance to where you intend to spend the night. Taxis will just be out of control that night, you'll be waiting in hour+ lines. I saw the OP is at Planet Hollywood. VERY convenient to the Monorail to MGM. What I would do is probably go to MGM, drink and get the fight atmosphere, try to talk to girls at the bars at MGM and then have tickets to watch it at a sports bar in the Miracle Mile shops (i.e. Blondies or PBR if they have tickets for the fight). I'd probably go to Marquee with presale since you're essentially across the street (kind of), just show up right after the fight before the long lines form. Actually scrap the Miracle Mile mall bar idea, find the viewing party INSIDE the Cosmopolitan and then go to Marquee right afterwards.
If I were you, I'd probably also consider going to Wet Republic (again, take the monorail there). Just show up early.
I will be out of the country, but honestly, not too into this fight due to the delays. I've been there on many fight weekends, including Tyson fight weekends and the vibe is unreal.
Hang out at the MGM most of the day, it'll be wild everywhere. Even with presale tickets at clubs they'll want an arrival early in the evening, it'll be oversold and just a total shitshow.
This is the line coming out of the MGM Pay-Per-View area. Honestly, I love just hanging out in the entrance to the Grand Garden and watching all the pimps (in versace, etc) floss their gear and their hoes. Its quite a spectacle.
Buy your fight tickets for closed circuit as soon as they release them. They WILL all sell out and they WILL increase in price. I'm guessing just to watch at MGM on Closed Circuit, you're looking at $100-125 per ticket. Some places like Blondies in Planet Hollywood will have packages with unlimited beers for like $60.
Also, keep in mind, people will be a bit more tired from watching the fight earlier and drinking, the hassles of all the crowds, etc. Also, in the big clubs, everyone will be looking for the celebrities at the big tables, its a total distraction.
