Not at all. The consistency of the mix is nearly identical to just using baking soda.

It worked great for me, didn't notice the difference so much until i checked my pits after a round of golf with a dry fit shirt on.

Normally, dri-fits soaks up every smell coming out of me and just reek after I wear one for a day or a round of golf. After this round, I couldn't even tell I wore the dri fit when I did the smell check. Baking soda works great. I usually throw it on right after I shower when my pits are still a lil wet, too easy!

Does anybody use Baby powder? I normally just put a little bit in my hands and rub it into my pits before I go to the gym and it seems to soak up the perspiration pretty well

In the summer I've used baby powder along with the gel roll-on for extra absorbency. But never alone as a deodorant, because it simply doesn't work. Baking soda totally kills any odor.

I tried (this sounds weird but don't knock it until you've tried it) shaving my armpits. Originally got the idea from my ex who suggested it. While I still sweat, with the hair shorter or gone, the smell doesn't linger as much. Zinc does seem to get rid of the odor for me, and I actually get a little more positive attention with a bit of sweat on me. I think it differentiates me from the hoardes of skinny Affliction tee shirt wearing axe body spray kids. I've had a few girls ask "what cologne is that?"

How are you mixing everything? I want to know because I havent messed with Baking Soda since I'm such a heavy sweater.

I don't shave them and don't think I'd like it, but I usually trim my pit hairs once a week. Just use a 1 on an electric hair trimmer and good to go.

My pit hairs grow exceptionally long if left el naturele, so this tidies it up quite a bit and cuts back on odors.

It's hard to find Arm&Hammer baking soda in Ukraine. I found a box and haven't seen another since, so I'm being quite sparingly with it? I use it to brush my teeth along with mouthwash mixed with a little hydgrogen peroxide and it works great. They have baking soda here, but the consistancy is a bit grainy, so I'm trying some baby powder for the arm pits, any suggestions?

Can't you purchase it online? Also, I think tomtud said you can use vodka as a deodrant.

You don't need Arm&Hammer brand. Baking soda is a simple compound that is sold everywhere in the world. Just go to the supermarket. It's probably next to the flour, salt, and sugar. I bought it in Ukraine.

Question: The box says after thirty days the baking soda needs to be replaced. Is that true or should I use this box until it is empty.

Freshly squeezed lime juice is a great deodorant - the best I've found. Squeeze a few drops on your palm, rub it on your pits and you kill off the bacteria that live on sweat and make the smell. Works best if you use it every day for a couple of weeks, then afterwards you don't need it so often.

Does shaving vs. trimming make a crucial difference?

Shaving leaves my pits sore so I prefer the trimmer of my electric razor.

I've been using some generic baking soda for a month now, brilliant results. I just wet my pitts and my fingers and rub the baking soda in until I can see no residue. I put this stuff to the test by not showering or applying anything to my underarms for 3 days. Couldn't smell a thing, amazing result. Best thing about it is that there's no fragrance at all, very important for fragrance freaks like myself.

My start applying this stuff to my gooch area. Gets really sweaty in those parts.
