Do you shower at the gym?

Will not shower at the gym no more. However I use to shower at the gym after a swim just to clean the chlorine off my skin and showered a second time when I got home.

God says, "So that you will like them."
Adam says to God, "God, why did you make women so warm and cuddly?"
God says, "So that you will like them."
Adam says to God, "But, God, why did you make them so stupid?"
God says, "So that they will like you"

My gym has private showers. I used one once. Mostly I just change my clothes afterwards.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Do you shower at the gym, why/why not?

I'm surprised more guys aren't calling this out for the inherent trolling.

There is no depth of discussion to this question in the first place, and certainly no need to slip in the bolded/quoted statement above unless you are massively insecure.

Don't lie Quintus, we all know you wear Roman gladiator sandals in the showers and that's why you don't get athletes foot.

I always lift after work, so it's no problem to drive home and shower. I figure my clothes hold the sweat, and my car has leather seats, not cloth, so I don't think I'm getting my car nasty. I try to bust my ass every time, so I'm usually pretty whipped when I walk out, but I don't get that sweaty. I live in a dryer climate, so it's not as easy to get dripping wet with sweat.

My gym is full of hard core muscle heads, but very few guys shower there. I've gone at all times of the day at one time or another, and I'd say I see someone using the shower barely 1 in 10 trips.

I don't sweat much during my workout so I'm good to go, just a 5 minute drive home. Especially walking around with wet hair in the winter is kinda gnarly.

When I visited some upscale gym for free that had a sauna, damn right I would use it after every workout, and then shower my completely drenched sweaty ass off. But otherwise, in my narrow cramped college gym? Nah thanks bro, I'm good. Besides, I usually have to do some after shower stuff like shaving and all the stuff for that is at home

also have fun getting some fungal infection on your feet if you don't wear shower shoes

Thinking about it, most of the muscle gyms I know of around here don't even have showers!

Almost always shower post workout. My gym has a steam room/sauna/pool/hot tub and I use them all frequently. Always rock sandals anywhere past the change room.. Lots of guys go barefoot; fuck that.

I love to see how I stack up against other local guys.

I live quite a distance from my gym but hell no I'll never use the shower even though there are curtains and we had a recent renovation. A college gym probably has all kinds of shit happening from couples fucking in those showers to just in general unhygienic college students. So fuck no. I'll use my gym clothes as a towel to dry off sweat and an aerosol can for the occasional date I might have after so not too worried.

I've had to watch Indian men share a shower stall overseas, laughing like school girls and playing grab ass. After that nothing scares me. I use the gym showers.

Do you shower at the gym?

Every Saturday, I have a long workout in the gym followed by a massage from my regular smoking hot masajista. So, I take a shower to be nice and clean. Since there is no reason to take a shower twice, after the massage, she soaks a towel with alcohol and wipes the oil off my body. The best reason to take a shower is to be considerate of others.

No. I don't like showering while sweating, and I usually just use the gym at my apartment complex anyway, so it would be ridiculous to use a public shower when I can walk two minutes to the crib and take a shower.

The exception is if I'm hitting the gym and doing something else without going home in between.

There's this disease that's spread by the bacteria that's eating people's sweat that can fuck up your skin bad. After the gym I go to the rest room and wash my hands really fucking good then cut out and wash at home. Don't touch your face at the gym after handling equipment guys... shit's mad nasty.

I wash at gym, hate to be sweaty as usually I have things to do outside home after gym, but after I come home I wash another time anyways.

I also always use slippers. I don't put my naked feet on gym floor even when changing socks.

My gym is too cheap for a shower. Otherwise I'd consider it.

The price of American gyms/martial arts classes always blows my mind, even though I am fully aware of it.

Combined with the cheaper property costs over there (on the whole) it makes me sad (being in the fitness biz).

Never. I don't want a bucketload of tinea.

By car to home - 3 mins, by foot 8 mins. I lay a towel on the drivers seat.

No need.

Every since I have been going to the gym, I have used the showers after I have completed my workout. But I have always wondered why some guys just seems to packs their things and go home? I mean, when I am done lifting, I am a sweaty mess, and in a heavy need of a shower.

When I was at elementary school, I use to hate the obligatory showers after the gym class, but now showering is as much part of my gym routine, as racking my weights is part of my exercise. I am not the biggest dude in the gym, and that in more than one way. I am sure we all have seen the "horse" of the gym talking to his friend, standing with one foot on the locker room bench with his towel around the neck, while his buddy is getting more and more dressed.

Anyway, I think taking a shower is a great way to boost your motivation when you see how you stack up against other local guys, while simultaneously making you more confident in your own skin while being around other men (no homo).

You're talking about showering in gyms for the express purpose of staring at other men's dicks, which means you're either a troll or a homosexual. In either case you should be banned.
