Is the king of Jordan a true alpha?

Jordan's King Abdullah, a trained pilot, could lead revenge airstrikes on Islamic State himself, it has been revealed.

The monarch may personally take part in bombing raids on extremist strongholds on Thursday, according to reports in Arabic-language newspapers.

It comes after the former general told members of Congress that he was ready to exact a blistering revenge against the ISIS terror army for the brutal execution of military pilot Moaz al-Kassasbeh - and he quoted a Clint Eastwood movie character to make his point.

According to the dailycaller, reports have emerged suggesting he could take part in airstrikes on ISIS targets today.

California Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter told the Washington Examiner that the king quoted the scene where Eastwood's character announces his plan for retribution.
'Any man I see out there, I'm gonna kill him,' Eastwood's William Munny says in 'Unforgiven.'

'Any son of a bitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only going to kill him, I'm going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down.'

'He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn't seen,' Hunter said. 'He's angry. 'They're starting more sorties tomorrow than they've ever had. They're starting tomorrow. And he said, "The only problem we're going to have is running out of fuel and bullets".'

King Abdullah is leading by example (the strongest leadership trait), which is the exact opposite of what Barry is doing right now.

He's a true alpha if he takes decisive action, not necessarily if he literally leads the charge. He's the head of state, he decides what to do, and if he goes through with it, he's worthy of a man's respect. The thought process is this:

1.) One of my subjects was killed as a deliberate provocation.
2.) This was endorsed by the whole of the ISIS organization.
3.) Gear up for war.

No media tour, no going on the David Letterman Show, no fucking around, no issuing evasive statements endlessly. Right out of the gate he sends the message. He's the Putin of the Middle East. Wish the best to the Jordanians.

ISIS is laughing because they're reeling in a local power into war.

ISIS just wants more countries to fight it. You're feeding the beast.

Does ISIS have any particular interest in drawing Jordan in as opposed to other meighboring countries? Do jihadists view Jordan as a traitorous muslim country because of their relations with Israel for instance?

In Israel it was asserted that Israel would aid Jordan militarily against ISIS to stop it from turning into a chaotic mess like Syria. Is ISIS basically trying to draw Israel into fighting it?

Jordan doesn't present any threat to Israel or the US, like Iran currently does or Iraq formerly did under Huessein , because it's leader takes his orders dutifully.

The core of the Jordanian tribes who support the king were reluctant to engage in conflict with ISIS and actually demonstrated against intervention before the pilot was murdered. The killing of the pilot has given the king the opportunity to overcome objections and rally everyone.

Anyone questioning Jordan's decision to engage needs to look at a fucking map and remember that these are small countries. King Abdullah choosing not to keep ISIS off their border would be grossly negligent.

Good! It's nice to have allies. We're giving them $1 billion a year in military assistance so they better start killing ISIS.

I think it is for humanitarian aid because they have so many refugees.

(Reuters) - The United States on Tuesday announced plans to increase annual aid to Jordan to $1 billion from $660 million to help it pay for the cost of housing refugees from Iraq and Syria and of fighting Islamic State militants.

They captured SAMs but they have little to no knowledge on how to use them effectively.

And if they did the equipment would be sighted and bombed with the special forces on-ground taking out whoever is training them.

I imagine if the King were to fly, the U.S. would be doing every fucking thing in the world to make sure he got home in one piece. Yes, conspiracy guys might think it is in the U.S. interests to have him die but the US needs some friends in the region. I bet you have Seal teams, air force rescue fucking every special group in the area to make sure he comes back alive.

Fucking drones and stealth and every other special asset to scout in advance.

Which is why I don't think he'll be able to do it in the end; the pressure from Nato (chiefly the United States) would be immense.

Sometimes you need to respect a friend's wishes even if you don't totally agree. He understands his situation better than anyone else.

While still widely known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, they have since changed their name to ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and Levant). Jordan, and Israel, are in the geographic area known as Levant.

If the King of Jordan goes in, he won’t be the first Royal to fight in a war in the recent past. Prince Harry of England was in Afghanistan in 2013.

Prince Harry: I've killed in Afghanistan. But Dad wants me to act like a prince

Quote:Quote:

Prince Harry has flown out of Afghanistan at the end of a four-month tour, during which he admitted killing insurgents while piloting his Apache helicopter and spoke in rare depth about the tensions and frustrations of being a royal (video) who craved life out of the spotlight.
...
A commander of the army's most sophisticated attack helicopter, the prince said he had fired on the Taliban during operations to support ground troops and rescue injured Afghan and Nato personnel. His remarks may be seized upon by insurgents to stir anti-British sentiment, but the prince said he was only doing his job. Most of the time the helicopter acted more as a deterrent, he said.

"If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game, I suppose," he said. "Take a life to save a life … the squadron's been out here. Everyone's fired a certain amount."

...
The prince was posted to Afghanistan last September to command a £45m Apache helicopter – one of the military's most sophisticated and well armed aircraft. During his tour the Apaches flew missions supporting Nato troops fighting the Taliban, and accompanied British Chinook and US Black Hawk medical helicopters during casualty evacuations.

Four years ago, the prince had to be spirited out of Afghanistan during his first tour after a media embargo was broken by mistake by an Australian magazine. This time, the Ministry of Defence chose to publicise his deployment on the understanding that newspapers and broadcasters would not give a running commentary on his life out there to allow him to get on with his job. Two-man crews from the BBC, Sky and ITN were sent once each to report on his visit, while a photographer and a reporter from the Press Association were embedded on all three visits.

Asked whether he felt more comfortable being Captain Wales than Prince Harry, his reply was one of the most revealing he has given about his relationship with Prince Charles: "Definitely. I've always been like that. My father's always trying to remind me about who I am and stuff like that. But it's very easy to forget about who I am when I am in the army. Everyone's wearing the same uniform and doing the same kind of thing. I get on well with the lads and I enjoy my job. It really is as simple as that."

...
Asked where he and his brother's fascination with helicopters came from, he said: "Probably the fact that you can only fit a certain amount of people in a helicopter, therefore no one can follow us, like you guys."

No, they don't have the technology or the specialists to develop such a weapon. Besides, it takes a considerable amount of time to build all the necessary plants and facilities needed to develop a nuclear bomb.

King Abdullah I was assassinated by a Palestinian in 1951 in front of his grandson while at friday mosque. Jordian men who speak English will try to bond with Americans over that one of the Kennedys was assassinated by a Palestinian as well, Sirhan Sirhan.

In general, Palestinians did not seem well liked in the Kingdom of Jordan.

It is also true that 1/6 of the Kingdom of Jordan is in the military, many because being so offers free health care from special state owned hospitals to not just you, but also your family, and your extended family to your grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Because Saudi Arabia is on their border, they politically have to do a lot of fence sitting and being diplomatic. ISIS placing a Jordanian pilot in a steel cage and setting him on fire gives Jordan the rare opportunity to open up all stops and go out and kick ass. And most likely Saudi Arabia will be pressed to write the checks to finance it.

"Alpha children wear grey. They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. Besides they wear black, which is such a beastly color. I'm so glad I'm a Beta."
