Post yours and perhaps we can all work together to make this forum even more exceptional. Describe it instead of linking an example, if possible.

One that I've noticed in my short time here is the dreaded second post content quote. Basically the original post includes a wall of text, several imbedded videos, and/or multiple gifs and the very first person to reply actually hits reply and makes sure that everyone gets to experience everything twice in a row. Please, please don't do this. And if you want to reply to something specific, just delete all of the text you're not replying to instead of bolding your response and including everything else. Our threads are relatively short and referencing is easy due to the little green arrows.

All of these daydream threads about perfect married life that have come up in the past few months. I don't know why this has become such an interesting topic lately on a forum about game and travel (in other words NOT settling down). I counted no less than five recent ones after a quick search in this thread.

Probably not that big of a deal, but you can easily resize your oversized images so that they don't stretch our screens forever.

Ex: http://www.petscorner.co.uk/petopedia/wp...ster-4.jpg
Original size: 1400 x 1200

Just add your new dimensions (say 280 x 240) to the image URL

Result:

Takes a second, just need to calculate a little bit to keep the same scale.

Too much talk about male style and looks pisses me off.

-What is the best country for a 6' blonde guy with a 5 inch dick who likes HB 7.58/10 chicks with big asses?
-Is there a point of diminishing returns for lifting weights and attracting chicks? (fuck, somebody has to write a research paper on this and get the Nobel Prize)
-Should I pierce my asshole to attract more butt munching skanks?

I'd like to see more intel on lesser-known places. Someone should go to places like Botswana or Tibet or the really remote areas of Colombia and write up a report. I plan to do so but have not had the opportunity - yet.

When the forum inadvertently makes an undeserving person an Internet celebrity, not realizing that no publicity is bad publicity when it comes to the arts.

I've long complained about this regarding Lindsay West, saying the constant threads on her would make her a sensation. She ended up getting a sought-after job at GQ, which was at least partly based on her name recognition.

Now, this year, we have a new contender. Yellow Fever Girl's PR team couldn't have asked for better publicity than a long thread on her...replete with pictures and lots of controversy they can discuss while they try to get her a TV show.

I think these threads are probably like stories about the riches of Africa or South America that became legend and lured explorers to try their luck in dangerous waters even though they knew it was fraught with peril and success was highly unlikely. All of us have been disappointed so many times with women and most understand the true nature of them & hypergamy but still many of us want to believe. We've also been programmed to have kids with women and feel the need to spread our seed and after banging so many broads a lot of guys, myself included, start thinking about settling down.

It's also kinda like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow except a few success stories do exist; therefore, the forum just naturally gets intrigued by this fantasy marriage situation that almost none of us have ever had (or even seen among our friends and social circles).

Seriously, no one gives a fuck.

I hate when there are stupid things that happen in pop culture and then of course, some wiseguy thinks it's a good idea to post a thread and spread the idiocracy, and a thread pops up in the EE section. Come on guys, there was a thread about that silly iPhone game 2048.

The "ideal marriage threads" issue reminds me how it's simply not in many guys' nature to be "red-pill", even amongst the "red-pill" community. It's the famed Purple-pill (using red pill knowledge to obtain a blue pill ideal). It reminds me of a secrets-of-success type conference I went to years ago. One member of the audience stated that the guy's info must be bogus b/c why would he share it? The speaker's response: Because "99% of you won't do what it takes". This has been my experience. Guys I know that have been scorched in divorce, who have seen reality and articulate many of the things said here, who know what to do and not to do, ultimately re-neg and cave when they've been lonely for a while and a new cute girl bats her eyes. You can only worry about yourself.

I don't disagree. I'm guilty of some of this and frankly still want to get married and have kids. But I have no idea of what an LTR over say a 2-3 year period would be, let alone a marriage with kids (only way I'd ever get married is to have kids).

Also can't imagine having to game my wife daily while bringing up children....would be reading Roissy and Dalrock furiously every day!

Don't want to hijack the thread but I want to end the previous point I made with this: It's in the nature of most men (or perhaps in all men, varying by degree), to be sacrificial lambs.

I think those come from the younger crowd that is trying to look more sophisticated while being very inexperienced with the world.

I asked dumbass questions like that when I was 14 too.

Except for the butt piercing one. Hahahahaha

I don't want to go too far off topic or get cryptic, but this is an important point about how most men just don't have it in them to be total realists and they still look for a comfortable fiction when it comes their way. There's a reason why Marlon Brando's character wanted Martin Sheen to kill him in this clip from Apocalypse Now, he saw too much of the truth, or how people are in a state of nature (which was explained more in Conrad's book that the movie was based off of) and he just couldn't handle having it all shattered. A lot of the comments you see on sites like Heartise or Rational Male are men trying to come to terms with this, because some of them will probably just never be able to handle it. The truth hurts too much for some people.

Some men like to attempt dangerous stunts on motorcycles, jump out of airplanes and play Russian Roulette. Some like to get married.

Couldn't resist (In my defense, this represents how a woman's hamster sees itself in a mirror, or something...)
