A woman dressed in body armor fired shots at multiple people yesterday afternoon, resulting in a police chase on Hixson Pike, which ended in the woman's arrest.

Chattanooga Police officers first responded to a report of shots fired on 1300 Cloverdale around 3:52 p.m., according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Once the officers arrived on scene, they found two victims who said they were at a stop sign when the suspect, Julia Shields, pulled up in a dark colored sedan and fired shots into their vehicle, the release said.

A short time after this incident, police received several additional calls reporting that Shields was pointing her firearm at people as she drove pass them.

It was reported that she shot at another vehicle in the same area around 1300 Cloverdale Drive, and officers eventually located her sitting in her vehicle in the Stuart Heights Baptist Church Parking lot on Hixson Pike, the release states.

Shields escaped the parking lot in her car and led officers on a chase down Highway 153 and Hixson Pike, and continued to point her firearm at vehicles as she passed them.

The chase ended at the intersection of Cloverdale Drive and Koblan Drive, as Shields pointed her firearm at an officer, before being taken into custody without incident or injury.

Shields has been charged with 3 counts of attempted first degree murder, seven counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, felony evading arrest, and felony reckless endangerment, the release says.

I think this story is more an issue of the timing, as the store was likely fairly empty when these men were there (meaning no police call from random shopper), but you would think that the race-obsessed SJWs would latch onto this story also, no?

You could easily draw the parallels and hype it up without most people even considering the circumstances, given the incident with the black man being killed in Walmart was so recently.

Well the question should be raised: How is the protocol different in the case of the two men from the protocol followed in the John Crawford case?

Also, remember, the 911 caller in the Crawford case lied about what Crawford was doing, he claimed that Crawford was pointing the gun at children, so ultimately, I really don't see any parallels in the two situations other than that they both took place at Wal-Mart.

The parallel is men, in Walmart, with BB guns, drawing police involvement. What other connection do you need? It's almost the exact same situation, minus the details that I already pointed out.

I mentioned in my post the reasoning behind the lack of aggression by police in the latter incident. It's obviously not as simple as white/black.

My point was, were the media as brazenly pushing an agenda as some here suggest and believe, these two cases could easily be used to support it.

We have two incidents where white people committed similar -- but more serious -- crimes and were met with no police force, while black men were shot and killed for the same thing. Anyone with half a brain could sensationalize that to fit their narrative, yet these stories are not even being picked up.

Again, NOT saying that is the conclusion that SHOULD be made, just pointing out the fact that these stories are less of a media aberration than many people claim.

But I somehow agree with the fact that the police are profiling and targeting blacks with a different matrix. Unfortunately part of it is justified due to the popular thug culture there. This is really no big news as even black folk are complaining about it. The same is unfortunately true with new Muslim immigrants in Sweden - no way are you going to be treated equally in certain regions to a white Caucasian there. Some bad apples can easily taint the whole barrel.

The Walmart incident however is different, because they unpacked the plastic guns in the supermarket while in the other case the "suspect" played with his toy gun in public.

And as far as that lady was concerned - if I had been a cop there I would have blasted her with several bullets to the head. No way am I going to risk her getting the pussy pass and doing the same thing in 5 years.

The cops are way too trigger happy with some black youth while letting women who do really crazy stuff walk around. In most situations with young punks warning shots or leg shots would suffice, while crazies like her have to put down on the spot for all our sake.

I would say driving around shooting at random people should be a life without parole case.

I favor drastically reducing jail terms for almost every sort of crime. Drugs, theft, etc. But this is just beyond the pale, I think this woman just blew her chance with civilized society and should be locked away forever.

I agree with Sonsowey and Zelcorpion here.

I think most crimes don't need as big punishments - however this women is too far gone.

I think some people are just bad and need to be put down. Not locked away - but kicked out of the gene pool. Keeping them alive in prison just wastes tax payer money keeping someone they hate alive.
