Very few, but he's typically playing a certain role when acting. Now that I think about it, his humor is more college-guy goofball than SWPL.
Sony cancels the release of "The Interview"
It is important to distinguish between his acting (where he has little control over his lines or role) and everything else. He's produced and written for a LOT but only co-directed This Is the End (my favorite end of the world movie ever) and The Interview, both with his lifelong friend and collaborator Evan Goldberg. I haven't seen anything on that list that seems sjw to me. In fact most of it seems like stoned out buddy films with red pill moments.
Plus he also seems to be a decent human being:
I think you might be confused about who watches and enjoys his movies. I've heard my liberal ex-friends complain about how crass and offensive his writing can be. Besides McLovin has mad game.

INB4 tin foil hat people say Sony hacked themselves and made a killing on the spin machine for a mediocre movie during the holidays. They never lost anything crucial. its not as if someone ram raided their bank accounts.
But their stock should fall for such blatant failures. This and the compromise of Playstation customers some time ago.

Not sure, I mean they lost a regular theatrical release. Thousands of screens were not going to show it because the major theatre chains decided not to show it. It would have to be the shittiest movie ever for Sony to decide better to make up a bunch of shit and then release VOD.
Plus, I know that there were true implications of this hack. I am one person removed from a few people who confirmed a lot of shit going on at Sony as a result of the hack. How they have been impacted, etc.

How convenient. A comedy movie about North Korea gets attacked by North Korea so in response they release it under a studio approved direct to audience format at the "low" cost of $5.99 per view and $14.99 to own.
Seems legit.

Couldn't they just be experimenting with releasing direct to mainstream audiences to increase box office revenue. It's always been a dream of the studios to bypass the first run system. The commercial theater still drains a significant percentage of gross. Streaming direct to audiences in millions of homes with near ticket prices is a dream come true.

How is this such a Conspiracy Keanu theory ?
It would be a brilliant ploy as a false flag, there have IP reports showing the evidence is pretty weak to think the NK's did this.
It could of even been an inside job, we'll never know, but it's definitely not a tin foil hat area.
I have serious doubts that any of this is legit. Just watch Camp 14: total control zone. This is a regime that's still stuck in the 1940's culturally and individually.
The idea that they have crack cyber hackers sitting around to penetrate studios is pretty laughable. It sounds like Sony may have been hacked by insiders or unknown outside parties and had their shit released so they concocted a story. The studio business department also figures it's the right time to use viral marketing to try out a new release scheme. The U.S. government runs with it because it fits the geopolitical narrative.

I'll share just a little of what I heard. People having to go to the front security gate post to get phone extensions (because everything was automated), CFO spending days changing over bank account controls. People sitting around for days doing nothing.
And in all this "experiment" you think Sony would go to the point of releasing pay and social security numbers? Maybe you don't believe N Korea has the skills but those skills can be hired out. Internet mercenaries.
So if you don't believe that N Korea could do it but you do believe that Sony would be willing to release all that sensitive data and be made a fool of and having some of their top execs risk getting fired? It is a conservative Japanese company after all, it doesn't want trouble.
If I had to choose, I would lean toward N Korea having hired some guys to do it vs. Sony deciding to make a fool of itself and fucking itself at the same time. Or a bunch of people did this for fun without N Korea influence is a possibility. But no way Sony does this to itself.

I honestly don't know anymore. We've crossed the rubicon when it comes to what is believable with the media and corporate interests. Sony corp. as a whole may be Japanese but a big differentiation must be made between Sony U.S. and its conglomerate operations overseas.
Sony Pictures Entertainment is very much part of the Hollywood establishment. They hire people intimately involved in the industry and are directly involved in micromanaging projects.
The Japanese took a distinct hands off approach after they got raked over the coals in the early days of trying to manage studio projects in America. They just didn't know the scene well enough and deferred completely to U.S. hired management.
It's entirely possible that the U.S. hired studio execs are running their own show or have gone entirely rogue with little input from Japanese paymasters at this point.
I'll be watching it today on YouTube for $6!
Hack was probably a lie and a way to give a fat middle finger to the theaters for not airing the movie.
Sony's going to make hand over fist cash from this. It might also mark the death of movie theaters if studios are willing to do major blockbuster releases direct to VOD services.
It's time for movie theaters to die.

The torrent is already out with awesome quality!
Its getting more and more difficult to tolerate going to a theater. Its half the cost of a DVD now, everybody has phones on during the movie, and they bring infants into rated R movies. Also if you tell people to turn off their blinding phone they sometimes attempt to attack you. I almost got into a fight with a guy who was threatening my father, he was busy doing his office work in the theater.
Direct to vod would allow for much cheaper costs, you can pause it, and popcorn would be much more cheaper. No crowds, phones and with cheaper and bigger LED tvs even better pictures than before. I'm not seeing any downsides.

Kbell, I agree. Even though I am fascinated by how movies are made, I will admit I on my see them in theatre if they are some visually stunning movie that my large tv cannot recreate. If it is a comedy, drama etc I will just wait to watch at home. And the costs have gotten pretty ridiculous. For one ticket I can get netflix streaming and DVD.

It's just a massive publicity stunt and a test to find out if dummies will pay the same price as a movie theater to see a movie at home, expect more movies to be released simultaneously online and in theaters from now on
A theater in Yonkers, NY is showing The Interview.
Its already the most d/led torrent on kickass

I'm completely serious, but I'm only commenting on his body of work. It is possible that his twitter is full of sjw crap but I don't use twitter. So as long as it doesn't bleed into his AMC adaption of Preacher I don't really care. I will search his name here though.

27 thousand people are downloading at this moment. These are just the ones who are downloading currently, not the ones who have already finished or the ones who will start shortly. This might become an all-time record. There is no way this was a publicity stunt. If so, it was terribly calculated financially. The average person would choose paying over downloading only if it's in a movie theater and he will be able to go there, watch it with high quality stereos and have nice time. No one will pay 6 dollars to watch it on Youtube now when they can just click on the next bookmark, download and watch it in the same quality. Even the ''ethical'' people will download it now as a big fuck-you sign to ''coward'' Sony.

I agree. I am more interested in seeing if this changes the landscape of movie distribution. Will we see a move towards bypassing cinemas and going straight to VOD? As someone who rarely goes to the movies anymore and prefers downloading, then buying blu-rays if the movie is worth it, I would not mind paying $6 for a movie with good reviews on YouTube or something.
