I was thinking the other day about Osama Bin Laden. The bastard won. He facilitated the destruction of a country of 300,000,000 by killing a few thousand people.
The reaction to the attacks is what destroyed the country of course, but bottom line, 9/11 fucked this country up.

Terrorism works if you achieve your political objectives through force / violence through non-state actors.
Osama Bin Laden's:
1. Remove U.S. bases from Saudi Arabia
2. Undermine U.S. support for Israel
3. Establish Islamic regimes across Middle East by overthrowing secular govts
Arguably he has partially achieved his third objective while failing on the first two counts.

ISIS wasn't his baby, so he didn't even achieve the third. And terrorism perpetrated by non-state actors only works against decaying societies.

ISIS is also a result of the in-stabilized Iraq. The Afghanistan war alone did not start a chain-reaction, but the USA decided to kill Saddam. The US continues to create it's future enemies by stirring shit they shouldn't.

Fear mongering or a legitimate threat causes fear amongst people. Terrorism is in this equation. We all have fear, be it fear of failure, fear of rejection or fear of death.
Terrorism or threat of it will always cause fear or caution amongst people. This is nothing new.

Why are you acting like everyone who sets foot in Europe gets welfare?
For sure, none of the dozens of foreign students working here in France that I know, who came here for their studies, and are still non French, get any dime on welfare.
The welfare goes to those who have french parents already.
THAT is an abuse, sure. But abstain from pretending the BS that any foreigner gets welfare.

They do in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and England.
Even I have received welfare in England and Norway. In both cases it was as simple as filling out a form, once you meet the correct requirements (which were just that you live in the country legally).
In fact, I am still receiving $3,000 per month from the Norwegian government whilst I'm living in Poland. This is how ridiculous these systems are.
I am very against shitcunts using welfare, but if they are stupid enough to give it out like candy, then fuck yeah I'm going to take $3k a month for logging in every 30 days and clicking a box that says "yes I'm still unemployed". Plus I dislike Norway, their government and their people, so fuck em. They can surely spare it.
I'm sure this is a massive contributing factor towards immigration. Ever noticed many immigrants in countries to the east of Germany? Nope? Why? Because its harder to get residency permits there? Nope, if anything its easier. The reason is, because there is no welfare system to take advantage of! Well there is but you would only get like €30 per month.
