Female privilege is rapping and being able to dismiss misogynistic disses

Eminem raps in a new song:

"So what's it gon' be? Put that shit away Iggy
You gon' blow that rape whistle on me
(Scream!) I love it"

So Iggy responds on twitter:

im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz. its especially akward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice! women in music have the bigger balls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic. good morninnggggg!!!!!! off to camera block for AMAs!

What a loser. Clearly T.I. has been writing all of this model's songs. Anyone who claims to be a rapper would have responded with an actual response track. Even fucking Nick Cannon did that. When that nerd has more credibility than you in the rap game, maybe it is time to quit.

In fact, people should stop threatening violence entirely in rap.

Isnt there a more uplifting message to be shared? Rap about love. Rap about the environment. Rap about afterschool art programs.

Em should have instead said something like:

Iggy gonna be a huge inspiration
To young female rappers across the nation
In fact I think ima make a donation
To the United Womans Federation

Notice how modern women don't say things are right or wrong, but simply that things are boring?

And - for the record - how is a threat of rape inherently misogynistic?

Another example of a woman trying to get all the good shit from playing a man's sport, but then not being able to handle any of the tough part. She basically just cries.

I often wonder how Iggy doesn't appear to feel even a tinge of embarrassment at what she does. She's a clown, who "raps" in the fakest-sounding rap "accent" I've ever heard. It's a mix of nasal whining and what an actor on Saturday Night Live would pantomime in a sketch acting like a female rapper from Australia.

If she didn't have that fat ass, where would she be?

I mean seriously, listen from @1:00:

I'm glad this topic was made. I almost wish we'd had this climate of social justice rot back when Eminem was in his prime. Or maybe that Em was just hitting his prime right now. Some of the things the dude has said would've caused aneurysms. Eminem's stuff is ACTUAL misogyny most of the time. Not the perceived misogyny they whine about on the regular.

And that 'threat' was nothing. Eminem has a line in one of his songs about ambushing the Bush administration. Fuck, look at the lyrics to Criminal. That song alone would've made them apoplectic. "And if it's not a rapper I'mma make it as, I'mma be a fucking rapist in a Jason mask."

You know you're out of touch with pop culture when it takes 10 minutes to figure out what you mean by Iggy.

When you say "Iggy" this is the first thing that comes to my mind, and rightly so:

I'm assuming you mean Iggy Azalea. I'm not sure if it's normal for people to just say "Iggy" and assume it's her, but that should really not be the case.

"...so I gave her an STD, and she STILL wanted to bang me."

I've heard someone put in these terms before: what she does is essentially verbal blackface. Her rapping accent is horrific.

I thought she was in the murder business and is gonna hold me down and give me lessons in physics? I feel that her entire song encourages the matriarchal rape syndicate and I can no longer leave my house feeling safe. Why is she still on the radio waves if all she does is encourage rape? Doesn't anybody care about MY feelings? Hold me down and teach me a lesson? I can't even.

I never heard of her until now, but she seems to have a lot of what the brothas call "street cred."

Take care of those titties for me.

When Eminem was at the peak of his powers, he faced protests from parent groups and gays.

Now, in his current state, he faces backlash from millennials, i.e. the very demographic that grew up on his music.

As for Iggy's response, expectations for rap beefs have declined. Drake and Tyga, who both pitched bitch-fits on social media, engaged in the first rap tofu. Neither of them made a diss record, not that I would have listened to it. Even among male rappers, social media feud is the new normal, so don't expect a different response from a female 'rapper.'

Do you know what would really be scary? If a rapper threatened his g/f with murder in a song with a verse like this:

"Well I feel like snappin'
Pistol in your face
I'm gonna let some graveyard
Lord be your resting place"

But wait! That's on old blues song -- Muddy Waters' "I Can't Be Satisfied," which was also covered by the Rolling Stones in a version that's considered one of their landmark early recordings.

When bluesmen did it, it was art. When today's rappers do it, it's "misogyny." I think if these people are serious, they should and ask that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame remove Mr. Waters for his woman-hating. See how that goes over.

Forget that he all but invented electric blues, which helped create rock and roll and is considered one of the most influential musicians of the last century. He said something bad! Kind of like being a space pioneer and wearing an offensive shirt.

Rapping is strictly a masculine endeavor and female rappers come off butchy/pushy and vulgar. I totally concur with Mr Price on the matter.

Yup most of his stuff in today's age would cause an explosion on social media each time.

However, everyone who tried fucking with him in his prime got destroyed. I hope he does the same to this glorified fatass pornstar.

If he of all people apologizes though, you know it's the end of days.

He's done it in the last few years too, like what I alluded to in the original post.

He disses Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon:

Mariah makes a not-so-subtle response track:

Eminem releases a brutal diss track:

Nick Cannon responds with the worst diss track ever made:

Notably Mariah shut the fuck up and left the issue alone after "The Warning"

Not a fan of diss tracks generally, but damn Em just dropped a nuke with that one.

This stupid fucking cunt is fake as shit and couldn't even go on an interview (Hot 97) without her mentor T.I. by her side.

That pussy Ebro on Hot 97 basically grilled Riff Raff about being fake and cultural appropriation and gave him shit for over 20 minutes during his entire interview but didn't question this fake blonde, white Australian bitch about the same shit. He gave her softball questions and coddled her the entire time with a smile on his face while T.I. was by her side in case he had to save her.

The thoughtless arrogance in this is hilarious. I have no idea who "Iggy" is and I don't care enough to find out but I do know that Eminem's faced more criticism, more insults and more hatred than almost anyone else in the music industry. He's gone toe to toe with dozens of artists, faced abuse directed at his daughter, had left-wing and right-wing media campaigns organized against him...he even took on The Source and won. What has "Iggy" done other than publicly whine about a joke she didn't like? Perhaps that's all she's capable of doing.

Iggy Izalea and rapper shouldn't even be in the same sentence.

Nope.
