Thought I'd share a way I've made an extra couple thousand over the years.
Coaching sports. I ran cross country and track & field in high school and part of college and have been able to put that experience to good use finding coaching jobs. Coaching at inner city schools has netted me about $2k/season. It's an easy job, write up a basic workout plan, spend an hour or two each afternoon. It was the perfect job for me when I was in college, when everyone else was wearing a paper hat and serving tables I was wearing whatever I wanted and developing leadership skills.

The only downsides are having to put up with parents ("Well 40 years ago when I was doing hurdles, we actually jumped over them instead of hurdling them, why can't you teach them that way instead?"), and having events like track meets that run on for most of the day and leave you more exhausted than your athletes by the time the bus gets back.

(^^^I suppose that could be a downside, too.)
I'd really recommend it if you're in need of extra money or you're looking to build your work experience a little more. There are always jobs available between middle schools, high schools, park programs, etc...
Any of you guys have any coaching experience?

- Fun, active job
- Free workout facilities
- Good motivation to stay in shape
- Easy money if you have lots of experience in that sport

If you are going to impose your will on the world, you must have control over what you believe.
