Is there a lot of anti-American/anti-Gringo sentiment in GDL also?? I see very few gringos around there. I hung out with my Mexican gf while I was there and I speak passable street Spanish, so didn't really stand out as badly as most gringos. Got 1 or 2 lingering stares from locals when I was with my girl, but nothing too nasty.

I didnt notice any anti-america sentiment. Most people were quite curious why I was visiting. Its not like I was waiving my American flag around but for example, I usually had a convo with my Uber drivers, and they were all quite curious and polite.

Actually, you rarely see young people visiting Guadalajara, its really not a touristy place at all, despite being a pretty cool city to visit culturally. Other then some old gringos who live Tlaquepacque and Lake Chapala, I dont think I am across more then 25 foreigners in 3 months.

I can confirm I saw maybe 20 foreigners total between GDL and MTY over spending 4 days in each.

Almost zero foreign presence. I didn't feel any anti-American sentiment just a IDGAF you are an American sentiment. Whereas if I was at a bar in America and a Mexican came from Mexico or Canadian from Canada and approached me to ask a question I would still be enthusiastic because I am a host member of my country and want to represent it well even those those visitors may be considered commonplace.

People were not nearly as curious as Colombia though. It was a polite passing curiosity and not a very genuine interest comparably to Colombia were there was enthusiasm oftentimes.

First time I went to GDL, I got two bangs in about a week. I only went out three nights but I got blown out one (at some college party), scored on one night from Lucrecia?? and had a stalemate on another because I had to leave the girl I was dancing with because of my early flight.

I hung out with a younger white dude from Cali (typical Cali surfer accent) who was cool as hell. First thing he said to me was, 'you must be killing it here since Mexican girls love black dudes."

I was there 4 days. Lucrecia is now permanently closed and was when I was there in Feb. During the day we had gone to that big mall in Zappopan, centro with the Catedral etc..., another day we spent with my friend's family in Zappopan at a local restaurant and in a big park.

Night we went on Chapultepec and all the places there or at the same mall in Zappopan where there La Santa and some bars across the street. The places on Chapultepec generally sucked. Most people seated not a lot of good looking girls. One was good I wrote about in the GDL thread at the end of the strip.

Also went to Lola Lolitas, Bar America's, El Rey and other stand alone venues. I wanted to check out El Chacal but we didn't have time looked decent.

I got laid there on a CouchSurfing connect where she took me out one night to a big church by the GDL university building and next time she made me tacos for lunch and we banged.

Online game was pretty weak for me there compared to MTY and the girls even more skiddish. Out of desperation I went on a date with a girl that wanted to meet and ended up being a SIF at some historic church up in Zappopan I ditched after 45 minutes, just wanted to practice Spanish once I saw she was a fatty. Saw no other targets even though there were large crowds and celebration around the church. Just families, a couple jail bait, and fatties. And this is in the supposedly upper class more posh Zappopan.

GDL is very closed doors, behind the scenes, upper class thing from my perspective.

I wouldn't go a second time ever, not because of the girls - I just don't find the city interesting in the least.

Maybe the discrepancy is due to styles of games, but i'm just tossing shit out in the air at this point because i genuinely can't figure it out. Bajablues and I were talking and we've had similar experiences, but many of our black and white friends crash and burn hard.

My game is the exact same in Europe, the U.S and Mexico. I rarely speak Spanish to them. I never received any anti american sentiment, even went to a bar and had them turn on U.S. soccer game. As far as the don't want to be seen out with colored dudes, i genuinely haven't experienced an ounce of this. Every girl seemed happy to show me off and always beg me to go out with her and her friends. In fact it was like they like the attention of being seen with me. The ONLY time i recall something even funny was I was once in Zara and this security guard was following me around, so i stopped, walked up to him and just looked at him. He didn't do it again.

But to be fair, i fucking crashed and burned in GDL, but killed it in MTY the week prior. Even now i sometimes go to DF and get 3 lays in a week and other times can't even get a basic 6 to come out.

No I am not a race type person. I am saying let say if I went to a country and destroyed in two weeks with a handful of 7's+ I would probably be inclined to say yeah there's plenty of good looking chicks to go after in that country. Even though maybe on the ground there really are not that many good options. I am just wanted there.

I think black guys tend to say this about Mexico, because they get a +1 or more it seems on the ground there. I don't doubt they get quality but I think they may be a bit blinded to the bad quality often around because of rose colored glasses, which I don't fault them for in the least.

I saw two buff good looking black guys with style in MTY at El D Club in centrito getting plenty of more vibes than me. They had grins a mile wide. I think that tells the story there a bit. I should have approached them and tried to become friends fast. Bonehead move on my part.

Went to GDL for last week for Wednesday night, full day Thursday and flew to DF midday Friday. First night landed chilled and got ready for Lola Lolita. Met up with my friends from Monterrey who are New Zealanders teaching in MTY. Thought I would get Bottle Service and attract the bees. Whoa who the Fuck needs BS when you step into the club and 1/3 of the place is breaking their necks [I'm very tall black guy] It was live in this place. Pretty much was just an advertisement for every other girl: this could be you. My buddies are benefiting every group I approach. I don't even communicate with them just walk to the next group and they know what's going so they follow. I set the location to my hotel and we get there order some room service and things get wild. No resistance to this 3some. Everything was natural and beautiful. The next day each took a shower and I had some individual time with each of them. Got dress around 11am and all went out to chilis gdl. We had great time making videos and laughing granted I don't speak good Spanish but entertained them all night and day. Funny translates in any language. So we decided to have a pool party while walking through plaza del sol. So I bought them bathing suits at the sonria market. Had a fun time picking out suits and beer. Got back to the hotel banged one of them again and we all got dressed for the pool. We blasted some music and played drunken UNO. I had to teach them how to play since apparently it's an American game even though it's called fucking UNO!

Anyways just a great first night and day in GDL. I sent them home around 8pm after one was getting a bit to attached and didn't want to share and I wanted a free night out before I flight tomorrow. Big mistake Thursday was lame in GDL.

All in all GDL is pretty awesome. Much better than MTY when I visited 6 months ago.

I'm the OP of this thread. I actually did not head to Mexico even though I thought I would. I just got so slammed with work during grad school and job hunting.

However, I just resigned my previous job and am now job-hunting again. I'm re-considering visiting DF or Monterrey for a couple of weeks. I figure this wouldn't be a bad idea since the COL is low and I can divide my time between applying for jobs online and studying for coding tests/interviews and then daygame in Monterrey or DF

I might have a chance to work remote after I finish my degree and I'd love to do a tour of latin America if I have the chance, starting with 3 months in either MTY or GDL to lock down my Spanish fluency. I did drop a giant data sheet on Monterrey a few months ago. Yes there is nightlife Wednesday to Sunday.
