Hats off to you night gamers

I will never be as good at night game as day game. During the day I can relax and not be bothered by the dragonsmoke constantly shooting up my nose as it does at night venues. Online game, too, is a venue of sorts where I don't have to worry about yelling to make someone hear me or paying ridiculous cover charges to have one beer. I usually do the Seinfeld thing to get in a talkative mood. This works much better at a mall or retail store than a nightclub setting.

I've realized something about myself; I have an inverted situation with regards to day/night game. I'm much more confident and relaxed during the day, whereas at night I feel less confident if I go out alone. If I'm out with friends, it's different and I can relax and enjoy myself more.

Note that this is the opposite with girls. Their confidence level is super high at night, but if anything, my daytime trolling experiments have shown me that it's lower during the day and they are full of empty bravado. They tend simply shrink away if you act too much the jerk.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Night game is extremely competitive.

My vision is that close to everything is an obstacle to getting a bang. Not as much with a number close, but that requires the longer play which I'm still working on.

Other men, girlfriends, white knight bar staff, security - it's all against you.
To have any measure of success, you need to go above and beyond. To quote Rockys 3 & 4: "He's not a machine! He's a man! Be more man than him!"

You may not realize this, but the way you speak about night game and your "vision" probably does a great deal to add to your limiting beliefs or defeatist attitude.

A lot of what you posted, if you have the proper frame and positive personality, can actually be an ally rather than an obstacle.

Other men? Yes some will be competition, but some can be wingmen or future buddies in the game.

Girlfriends? Sure some will cockblock, but you can also impress friends, and potentially rock threesomes or bang them separately in the future.

Bar Staff? Befriend them and they will give you social proof and make your night easier.

Security? If you show them respect, they will respect you, and have your back against the "other men" you're concerned about.

And to have "any measure of success" you don't have to go above and beyond. Maybe if you're looking to bring home the hottest women in the club on the regular, but your average 7 doesn't need that.

Finally, the Rocky analogy is silly and sets up your mindset when going out to be this epic struggle.

It doesn't have to be a fight, plus Rocky isn't a good example, do you wanna be the stubborn guy who gets punched in the head/rejected for hours before straining out a win since you refused to change tactics/frame?

Be Ali, be Tyson, be Mayweather, be anyone except Rocky...

I think I can meet some of those but it just seems like an arms race I can't win. (However, I don't want to be that pessimistic because of one off night.) I have age working against me for sure.

Thought I was putting on some size in the gym, but not enough I guess. If you are competing in this arena it's a multi-year project. I'm glad I enjoy lifting weights for the other benefits.

A girl and her boyfriend asked me to take their picture and I did as I didn't mind at all. It was interesting to me that she made a comment how I looked "trustworthy" enough to hand her phone to. Not sure what that means, but maybe I looked too clean cut for the venue overall. No earrings, chains, or sleeve/neck tats, or huge beard, or whatever gimmick guys are using that makes them appear more "edgy". I did NOT wear a boring polo shirt...I had on a henley, black jeans, and boots.

She thought you were a "Nice Guy"...how flattering.

I know. I'm at the point where I think I need a meetup with some RVF members so they can look me over and tell me WTF is wrong with how I look.

It might just be mostly contextual/venue selection. When in comparison all the other guys looked roided up, have tatts, earrings, etc.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

First of all, I am sure you went to a Club. and in what kind of neighborhood? somewhat ghetto?

I mostly go to bars because the amount of douche bags, thugs, trashy ones, dirty immigrants goes way up high in a club.

I like going to modern bars that caters to up to 30's and where appropriately dressed people hangout.
You won't see fights in this kind of places. Girls attitude is better. their mentality is just healthier than people in clubs.

The most popular ones as we all know, are a white kid in average height, slim build, classy hipster style or preppy look and got that upper class look (I will say 'JFK Jr look') Those are qualities you are just born with though.

If you don't feel comfortable with guys in a certain venue and don't like the type of women that follows those kind of guys, then you should try somewhere else that fits you.

You nailed it in your description...yes I went to a club. Actually I visited two venues. The first was a bar that has live bands. The crowd is mostly white bros in plaid shirts or tees and cargo shorts, etc. The second was a club exactly as you describe, with lots of police cars outside. Not so much in a "ghetto" area, but it attracts the crowd you mentioned.

I think you're right and I need to find a more trendy SWPL-type venue.

Not sure yet if I'll go back there this summer.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

If you don't go out regularly then you will feel uncomfortable in the nightlife. When you go out regularly you start to feel comfortable. This affects your results.
