I got my Nexus 4 new from Google for $199. Signed up with T-mobile online and now I pay $30 a month for unlimited Text and Data and 100min talk, with a for phone thats comparable to the iphone 5 and 6. Even with the Lte antenna not activated on my Nexus 4 it still Speed test faster than Verizon. If I lose or break it I'll be getting the Nexus 5 ($349) in heart beat.

They're giving you $200 to trade in an iphone 4/4s and $300 for a 5/5s. I'll probably get the 6+.

I don't know what you guys are bitching and complaining about. I've never had any major issues with my iPhones. I find Android to be kinda clumsy personally. It's a cheap knock-off for those that can't afford an iphone.

I dropped my phone 5 times this year. All busted up. Considering buying the new cheap Moto G knowing that i'll be dropping it regularly.

Android phones are anything but cheap and have had better features than iPhones for years now. I don't care for the fanboys of Apple or Android but that's blatantly false. If anything Apple is finally catching up to Android after resisting the big screen smartphone for a while now.

Thats funny cause everyone I talk to with an iphone has no idea how much they paid for it. If people had to pay the whole $650 up front, iphone sales would plummet. Women would ask "wow $650 is alot, do you have a $100 phone that can text and facebook?"

It's not always about specs and features. It's about usability and a pleasant user experience. That's what you're paying for.

You can put 20 G's worth of accessories into a Honda and make it run 10's but you know what ....it's still a shitty Honda. I'd rather buy a much nicer car. It's a better experience, it conveys status and still has a high resale value.

Android is like a shitty commuter car. Iphone is a BMW.

It's not bad. You set up a few playlists by genre and let it sync. You can also drag and drop songs right to the phone in iTunes. I find it funny that people say iphone is too simple and cartoony yet they complain that transferring music is complicated. It's not that iTunes is overly complicated. Most people are just fucking stupid. No offense.

But he is still right because you were talking about iphones having superior usability and pleasant user experience which has not been the case in my experience. The reality is both phones are pretty good and do what most users really need outside of all their features which is texting, calling, browsing, emailing, playing games when bored sometimes etc. I am not seeing the iphone as some superior phone and android as a cheap knock-off that you seem to think is the case. It is a false observation.

I too find it funny that a phone my 2 year old can use has such a cumbersome method of transferring music.

Apple used to make the market and now they are chasing and trying to catch up. I wouldn't trust then because they will likely now make this still fresh 5-series obsolete with a painful IOS update.

Apple is running on fumes with this phone, they will roll out the products still on-line from Jobs days but it's clear the phones have peaked.

My take on ApplePay is that its an attempt to crush Paypal, buy it (and EBay) and try to stay with Amazon since they have no ideas on how to anyways. ApplePay makes no sense aside from a flimsy promise that the wallet system is direct and secure to the Bank/CC, okay great... but what about the already linked Apple-ID to the Bank/CC? Was Apple already mining that data, because they say nothing of that system they are fazing out.

In other phone news Blackberry is making a come back, to bad with its old phones as people are starting to get sick of Apples continuous bamboozle of new phones every 10 months. Pay attention to this next time you are out, at least in Canada for sure, BBs and burner phones are making a comeback.

Been with the Droid number series for a long time now and have no desire to stop. I like the slide down keyboard and have never gotten used to the touch screen ones.

Only apple product I'll ever have is an ipod.

Yeah, I am far from a fan boy. (I do own apple stock.) I was on an Android for years, but the apps sucked related to Apple, so I made the switch.

Guys act like people who have iPhones never used Androids. We have. They are junky and clunky and have an inferior ecosystem.

Android people are like tech one-uppers. It's a different status game, but it's still a status game.

Seems silly to me.

Use the phone you like. That's what I and other sane people do.

You'll have to do everything online. Also if you go over the 100mins you'll need an extra balance in your account as it will then charge .10 a min.

Sorry to slightly change the subject to Ipods, but did you notice that they have stopped making the Ipod classic.

Pretty gutted about that to be honest as the 128g one had everything I ever needed in an MP3 player.

Looks like apple are trying to corral the market (not for the first time) into buying their latest gadgets.

Yelp is why I switched. It was big in SF where I was living at the time.

Maps, iTunes, Spotify, blogging and social media apps.

Uber.

Hotel Tonight is a good one for great last-minute hotel deals.

I've still been fcuking around with this unlocked Canadian iphone 4 that I've got. Should I try and unlock the iphone 4 or go for the iphone 6 instead? I had the chance to dyck around with the iphone 4 and I loved the camera. I would probably try and contract through verizon.
