Quick Summary of my first 24 hours:

I arrived at my hotel at around 2am and initially planned on just crashing. I jumped on this thread and saw posts about Dragonfly Wednesdays being the best nights in the city, and that clubs close at 6am, and that motivated me to get up and going. I drank a couple glasses of Yamazaki Single Malt (which is really good by the way) that I'd picked up from narita duty free and was on my way. I jumped in the taxi outside my hotel, which wasn't a Bluebird, and paid dearly for it. The guy had never heard of Dragonfly, and after stopping no less than five times to ask for directions, I finally arrived at around 3:30am. Contrary to everything I'd read there was no cover (but it might've been because I arrived so late).

The venue was nice but at that point the place was too empty. I grabbed a whisky at the bar and headed to the bathroom when I saw two girls holding hands screaming. This is the first time I've been back in SEA in years (and first time ever in Jakarta) and I'd almost forgotten about the scream/freak out that girls do in this part of the world when they're interested. Anyway they led me to their table and the dudes there offered me drinks and were totally friendly. Afterward we went as a big group to McDonalds where again one of the dudes picked up the tab. The dudes had weird Asian haircuts and by US standards were pretty dorky, but were totally cool. They encouraged me to hook up with their friend, and when she wasn't around a few of them took down my whatsapp and invited me to a strip club next week. After McDonalds, the dudes offered to drive me back to my hotel. I figured my chick wasn't going to stay with them, but when I got out of the car she got out of the car too and up we went.

Once in the room she giggled every time we made eye contact. I finally grabbed her head to calm her down and she started screaming I'M NERVOUS I'M NERVOUS. She sat on the bed and I poured a glass of scotch, took a sip, and handed it to her. She pushed the glass away and grabbed my shirt and pulled me in. 2 minutes later I was banging away. Afterward she left, giving some excuse about needing to go to university tomorrow. I offered to walk her to the lobby but she said I didn't have to. So I shut the door and passed out.

Today I woke up at around 6pm, and my phone had gone insane. I had well over 100 matches from Tinder auto-liker. 37 girls who messaged me on whatsapp from indonesian cupid. Shit is truly insane.

I may be basking a bit in the afterglow of my first 24 hours in a new city, but I'm really enjoying it here so far. After a great time at Dragonfly on Wednesday, I went back Thursday and hated it. There were pros there, and what bothered me even more were the faggoty farang-types there. It's how I remember the tourist areas of Bangkok--all Asian girls on white dudes, and the white dudes are just getting bitched around. These girls had them dancing like idiots, dudes were sloppily going for makeouts and getting their heads pushed away, flat out pathetic. One guy was getting dragged around the club by his tie, as if it were a dog leash. For whatever reason, seeing all this stuff bothered me and affected my state. But the club wasn't all that busy so I didn't end up losing much.

On Friday I set up four dates, but jetlag fucked everything up. I'd only slept two hours the night before so I kind of anticipated that I'd have to blow off the 1st or 2nd dates, and I arranged the times so that the ones I wanted to see the most were set to be later in the night. Inevitably I ended up sleeping through the first 3, and then woke up an hour after the scheduled meetup with the fourth. I gave her some bullshit excuse and ended up meeting her an hour after.

I never suffered through a Secret Internet Fattie date since I've never done the online thing in the US, but holy shit this bitch was huge. She had this canvas jacket on that made her look even bigger. Probably the largest person I've seen in Indonesia. Having said all this, I was disappointed by all the other potentials that I'd flaked on that day so I kept trying to convince myself it wasn't that bad. I kept telling myself that I'll only have a few Friday nights in Jakarta so I can't allow myself to go 0-4 on one of them. But shit kept getting worse. We met at the food court and then decided to go to Social House, which is about a fifteen minute walk through Grand Indonesia. Every 30 seconds we'd walk by some gorgeous girl who I felt was looking at me with disdain and disgust as she'd see me with this elephant barreling her feet. Here I am in an Italian suit walking with this hippo who was wearing a tarp you use to cover a swimming pool. So I then let her walk a bit in front of me to save myself some embarrassment. Looking at her from the back I tried to find some feature about her that I liked. Her face was good, but her body was just huge. I was hoping for a big ass to pound at least, but nothing. Then at one point as she was slumbering through the mall concourse, her pool tarp flew up and revealed her dress. Actually it revealed her thighs. Lumpy, disgusting, cellulite ridden thighs. Fuck that really started to gross me out. It reminded me of Fisto's post in the travel lounge a few days ago about fucking a fat chick who sprayed shit everywhere. I started to envision his descriptive post in my mind, and then immediately I'd look at this bitch and start to hurl. Finally we got to Social House, and this is the first time I saw her face well as there was light shining on it. I've never seen such chapped lips in my life. As if shards of glass were popping through it. Either that or Fisto had just finished mouth fucking her the last two hours. I was truly sickened, and excused myself to the bathroom and left. I went to a starbucks and spent an hour contemplating my misery. My waste of a Friday night, the idiocy of sleeping through my three prior dates, the audacity of that fat swine posting fake pics up and misleading me. And also me staying on the date for longer than thirty seconds. Because I wanted to get out as soon as I saw her, but I felt compelled to be a gentleman and not be rude. I'm still fairly new with online dating so I was pretty shocked. Clubs and bars are way more my thing. Next time I'm not putting up with it.

I went back to the hotel to get some drinks in me and get myself in a better mood. I finally made it out to Skye but it was after 3 am. There was one group of hot girls there with some local dudes, and I managed to ingratiate myself with them. I got a cute chick's number, but that was it. They were a group of bankers who weren't the white dude chaser types, and I didn't see logistically how I could pull or escalate, though I probably should've made an effort at least.

Again I overslept my date due to jet lag. I'd set an alarm and kept hitting snooze, and after the fifth snooze I just yanked it out of the electric socket. I woke up at 2am. If I lived here I would say things went great, as she was the hottest chick in the club and totally interested, but I knew I wasn't getting the one night stand with this one. She was also ordering vodka/tonics every 5 minutes and passed a couple over to me. But I kept seeing these farang fucks stumbling out of the club with their tucked in polos while holding some Indo chick and so I got the number of the Russian and went on the hunt. At this point it was well after 4 and there wasn't all that much left. I went to the other side of the club, away from the Russian chick and ordered a drink and started chatting up this Indian chick. I figured she was a dark Indonesian at first, but whatever, she had a sexy UK accent and a banging body and we hit it off. She had her hands all over me and I figured this would be the one I'd pull. And then like every other Indian chick on the planet she turned out to be a total cock tease. I kept pushing for a while, grabbing her tits, putting her hand on my cock, and then finally I grabbed her ass firmly and tried to pull her in and she pushed me away and wandered off. Whatever. At that point the place was dead and I went back to my hotel and was in bed at 6:30am.

It's now 11am as I write this, and I woke up at 8:30 am. I slept two fuckin hours, and spent the next two hours lying in bed while praying I could get some sleep and remedy this jetlag. Nothing, I'm wide awake. I've got a date in 2 hours, then 4 others have said they wanted to hang out today. My Line and Whatsapp are blowing up and I'm not responding. I have between 50 and 100 prospects messaging me everyday, but I don't want another fatty situation again. I've lost faith in internet chicks. It's impractical to track these prospects all on a small cell phone. I know there are some totally hot ones in there but I just don't remember who was who. Half of these girls have a picture of Micky Mouse on their whatsapp profile.

Doing the auto-tinder/mass messaging of dating sites has turned into a total mistake. Practically every girl in the city was a Match. And on indo cupid I mass messaged every chick the same message asking for their Line/Whatsapp. About 75% responded and I'd input all that in while I was in airport lounges on my way over here. But it's impossible to manage them all.

BallsDeep, I don't know if it'll make you feel better, but I had the same problems in Jakarta during my first trip before I figured the place out. It took some trial and error. I also had dozens of numbers and girls messaging me on Whatsapp, but was too jet lagged and lost to take advantage of it and missed out on so many great opportunities.

You've read the datasheets, so you know where to find the information you need: which clubs to go to and when, online game, all the warnings about SIFs etc.

Also, Social House is a very upscale place where you're only supposed to take good looking girls. Not because you can't take a fatty there, just because it's a fundamentally wrong thing to do. It would be an insult to that place. Same goes for places like Skye and Potato Head Garage. So, good work running away from that whale and not bringing her to Social House.

I suggest you rest a little, perhaps re-read the datasheets about Jakarta and then have a great time. If you can find RVFers who are currently there, definitely meet with them and get some advice.


Let me add some specific advice:
- Keep the online game going. Ask girls for additional pictures. If mobile internet speed is a problem, go to a cell phone shop and ask girls to get you 3G. You can also game them if you're in the right mood.
- Tell online girls to meet close to your place, ideally at your place. Find a cafe, Starbucks or even a cheap food market near your place and meet them there, then bounce to your place to watch movies, listen to American music, hang out by the swimming pool or whatever excuse you can make to get them there. Buy some ice cream and invite girls to your place to eat it.
- If you meet near your place, buy some water or whatever at a convenience store while you're waiting, then tell the girl you need to bring it back and take her with you.
- If girls don't want to meet near/at your place, tell them you are new to JKT and don't want to get lost. It's a numbers game, so for every girl who doesn't want to meet on your terms there will be others who will.
- Try to get the most out of online game every day. If that doesn't work, there are always clubs as the last resort. At clubs, screen for girls who give you eye contact rather than spam approaching many of them.
- Escalate when at your place with a girl, but don't push too hard, also go easy on the booze. I missed out on some very good opportunities because of drinking too much.

The new posts on this thread made me remember some more advice. Here goes!

1. If you don't have a portable charger for your phone it's good to get one. You can get a basic one for $15 a better one for $40. tinder uses a lot of battery and you need your whatsapp to capitalize on last minute booty calls from girls which should happen a lot.
2. Usually you should try to be late for dates so you're not waiting for the girl. Even if you are an hour late you are the best thing this girl has seen in months and she'll be happy to wait for your. I was only on time for dates on friday and sat when I wanted to make sure i could get the girl out of my place in time to get the club.
3. You can switch out the ice cream dates for frozen yogurt dates if you want. It's pretty popular in Jakarta and it can be healthier especially with fresh fruit toppings. The girls will usually still like it.
4. Keep heineken at your place, not bintang. Most girls hate bintang.
5. To get extra photos: A) ask to see how she looks right now, B) ask for instagram or facebook (you can just unfollow or unfriend them later). I prefer the right now photos because they don't add filters or do the angles and then they are saved right there in your messages so it's easier to remember. I was never denied facebook or instagram and it didn't matter that I didn't have anything on my facebook. If you get any pushback asking for a quick photo you can say that you just don't remember what the girl looks like and she will not be offended. That should solve almost any pushback.
6. For girls who are not willing to come to you tell them to text you when they are in your area. I often got messages from girls "hey i'm at near you at this mall now..." or "hey i'm at DF now..." or "i'm at my friends place right by you". Fuck, i still get those messages hahaha.
7. You can usually take a girl to the cheapest bar you can find unless she is super hot, rich and snobby girl with a driver. If the girl doesn't want to go where you suggested she'll tell you and you can just pick a more upscale place without any negative ramifications.
8. Feel free to double book your dates in case of flakes. They are used to being flaked on by foreigners.
9. To fix your jet lag take melatonin and use a sleep mask for sleeping and do some quick body weight exercises to stay awake during the day. Drink a lot of water during the day and drink a lot of alchohol to stay awake at night.
10. Screen hard! She must either be A) crazy hot or B) DTF and pretty hot.
11. Very few girls will tell you that she is DTF, but if she is willing come your place she is DTF.
12. Stay flexible. The craziest and funnest stuff often happened spur of the moment when i could have lost hope for the night.
13. Whenever you have some free time you can post a tinder moment of some bullshit saying where you are. Girls will message you.
14. Unmatch any girl on tinder you're not interested in to keep the noise down. Likewise block them on whatsapp.
15. Don't use regular texting unless you can help it. It is unreliable and more annoying.
16. Every guy I personally met in Jakarta had a tough time of it the first few days. You just have to persevere.
17. If you're alone and there's traffic (basically anytime between 8am and 9pm) take ojek. It is more expensive than the taxis but it's worth it.

Yesterday I had 4 dates lined up, at 1pm, 5pm, 9pm, and 10pm.

Anyway, at around 3am I was wide awake again, so I went to a street food place and stuffed myself with 3 orders of nasi goreng, knowing that was a way to knock me back out, albeit it unhealthily. I was in bed by 4am and up at 8:30 am, which is the most night sleep I've had so far.

I have 11 days left here, and have well over 50 prospects who are interested in meeting up. I guess it's a "quality problem," but I clearly won't be able to meet with even half of them before I leave. At home I juice regularly and take ACV, zinc, etc., but out here I have none of that and certainly wouldn't have the energy to bang out 3 chicks in a day as some of you guys do. I'm feeling a bit relieved now that it's Monday, and I'm not getting the bombardment of texts that I was getting over the weekend (many chicks could only go out on the weekend). I'm looking forward to spending the day hanging out in Grand Indo, perhaps even allowing myself to get bored for once. I'll probably chill in a restaurant for a while and setup an instagram, and follow bigbait's advice of having everyone give me their instagram. That should solve this overload of texting. Hopefully I can whittle it down to 10 hot chicks or so and block everyone else on whatsapp.

It is the nice thing to apologize. Don't take this the wrong way, but you are western and these sweet girls will not see your like in person one on one for months or years (no homo or exaggeration). They will lie their ass off like i would if I was in NYC if an 11 flaked on me and I said "lol no worries i'm jus chilling with my homeboys" as I clinked for the drink and said "buddy, you ain't now what i be missin".

I hate to break to you but monday is easy bang nite. Ninety-nine out of 100 girls did not get the bule monster dick all weekend and they got enough sleep on sunday night and a part of them is hungry. Obviously I hope this goes the right way for you, however... keep in mind the only 3 things you care about on a date are 1) will she flake 2) is she hot enough 2) is she dtf
Your mindset throughout the day is:
1) if you receive a text always respond asap and escalate her interest (yes, you are more amazing then she thought before) 'holy shit your life is even more amazing than she thought"
2) if you meet her and she is not hot enough then eject asap, "holy shit, i just got this text and have to to this work on my laptop"
3) if you meet her and she is not dtf after 30-60 build connection and eject with plans to see later, "it was great to meet you, i will text you later to see you again" (this is enough to leave them on cloud nine)
4) if dtf, <excuse to take to your place>, try to take to your place, if atttempt to eject fails eject with 3, it attempt to lay fails ask her to leave so you can do work

My experience is that the meeting a friend in 30 minutes thing is not taken 100% seriously in jtk. Local girls know traffic. Hey guys i've been reading this thread for a little while now, and I'm quite interested in Jakarta now!~
Around early Nov I was planning to go PhP, but Jakarta has really caught my attention so I might check it out for a week before I fly up to Php.
My stats:
6'2
White
Fit/Muscular
19- (easily pull off 22-25)
Really enjoy night-life/ adventurous

I just have a few question about Jakarta:
Because Im quite young compared to the other members who have visited Jakarta, will this put me to a disadvantage or advantage, towards gaming?

Also would Tinder only be the app required to game the girls there because Im only staying for a short period of time?

It was a bitch though, having to buy shampoo and dump it out, then superglue the lids so they wouldn't break open, and finally put crystal light in them so it would appear like shampoo in case it was inspected. And of course it was all for nothing as my bags didn't get checked at all. Here's the momento:
