First time I come across a footage like this. I kind of expected the crash with the water to be more potent, but I guess the pilot did a very good job with the landing.

Also it's so amazing to see how quickly the water just starts to fill up inside.


I got a plane to catch tonight, bad day to come across this video.

Damn, that is some wild footage. That's one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen.

I'm equally amazed at how calm everyone is. Putting on life jackets and evacuating just like they've been told a hundred times, but in the heat of the moment you would expect them to panic and lose their shit.

If the plane was a bigger one with alot more people, then screaming and yelling would have been done for sure. They are lucky they crashed a certain way to be able to grab jackets.

Notice that at one point the news woman says that the passengers don't know what is happening hence the calmness, however you can see from the window in the footage how close the plane is getting to the water, very strange.

I'm curious if there are any RVF pilots here. I find planes amazing things, I wonder what made it crash, seems like an engineering/mechanical failure.

Controlled ditchings by small planes seem to be one of the most survivable crashes.

Apparently the person who died had access to Obama's birth certificate. That combined with how calm everyone was prior to the crash makes me suspicious.

This forum has made me a damn conspiracy theorist. Not sure if it's good or bad, but I'm at the point where I'm pretty sure Bigfoot is real

Yeah thats what I assumed when I saw the video a week or so ago.

I'm also assuming the engine failure happened on takeoff and they just glided down into the water. That or it was on landing, possibly ran out of fuel, and they did the same. I haven't read into it.

But that was a very controlled ditching. Those types of situations have high suitability rates given the pilot impacts the water at the right angle and speed. If the nose is to low the plane kind of pancakes onto the water taking the full force of the hit, breaking it apart. It could also flip over if the nose dips into the water. Too high and you have kind of the same effect, where the aft fuselage hits first and that causes the nose to slap downward into the water increasing the force of the impact.

I never went to be in a plane crash, but if I am I want it to either that situation or a wheels up landing up an airport. I'll take the wheels up landing first, because at least I don't have to mess around with water after surviving the crash.

What about the pilot and passengers of the other plane?

The skydivers were in the best position, I mean if your about to have a mid-air its nice to already have a parachute on your back.

But its hard to believe no one got killed between the two planes.

that is beyond insane. The plane the skydivers jumped out lost a wing, so its a damn good thing the pilot had a chute on him.

The fact the other plan survived a top down hit without suffering catastrophic damage is in the realm of divine intervention.
