Congressional IP Banned from Wikipedia Edits

This Washington Post article describes a 10 day ban issued to an IP address belonging to the US Congress.

Quote:Quote:

The changes have become almost troll-like. Pando Daily reported that @Congressedits revealed a "Moon landing conspiracy theories" edit coming from a Congressional IP address; the editor blamed the Cuban government for spreading Apollo 11 conspiracy theories.

Sounds pretty weird. It's definitely inappropriate for someone in the US Congress to be writing this stuff, but it's not especially sensitive. Not as crazy the Russian Interior Ministry offering $111K to crack the TOR network (hey, the NSA already did that... maybe we could close our budget deficit a little).

But here's where it get's worse. That IP came back and did some more damage. Get a load of this:

Quote:Quote:

Making matters worse, when the change was covered by Mediaite, someone from a Congressional IP address promptly changed Mediaite's Wikipedia page to add that the site was a "sexist transphobic" publication that "that automatically assumes that someone is male without any evidence."

People get all bent about the manosphere being a bunch of crazy misogynists, but here we have someone in the US Congress attempting to smear a media outlet as a "sexist transphobic" organization. If you needed any confirmation that the US Government has an agenda in this emerging battle over sexual identity, there's your smoking gun.

So the next time I am stopped from going to a "ladies night" by the bouncers I can claim they have no initial evidence that I am a man?

It must be lovely to live in a bubble as an adult.

Was probably some intern doing some wiki editing. Nothing to see here, actual congress people spend more time at fundraisers fellating billionaires and celebrities than dicking around on the internet.

Check out my occasionally updated travel thread - The Wroclaw Gambit II: Dzięki Bogu - as I prepare to emigrate to Poland.

Only a woman would even type in "Sexist Transphobic" in such a manner. I blame useless Congressional Staff interns whom were board with shuffling papers.

(Most) Hill interns don't get paid, they're lucky if they get their commute expenses covered.

Just interns being interns.
