Does anyone play Starcraft?
I was feeling nostalgic so I downloaded it from Blizzard for $15.

I suck at it, but I know plenty of guys who did well. What was your favorite race?

I played Starcraft and the expansions when it came out. It was a great distraction from work/college. I thought I was tactical genius and joined battlenet. Those S. Koreans beat the fuck outta me for two hours so I never played online again. Warcraft 2 is another good time waster. Humans were my favorite race. Stick your Marines in a bunker on stimpacks and have one Marine run circles around the bunker letting the zerg chase him. It'll stop the zerg rush.

This was my shit in college. We would have the huge 2 hour games over the network. Then discuss for 2 hours afterwards. I always did the human thing because I never was too good at Protoss and the ultralisks weren't worth crap for Zerg.

I haven't played a strategy in years. Got burned out from playing so many. I'm not a heavy gamer but I'll list some notable games:
PC
Fallout
Starcraft
Mech Warrior
Xbox
Halo-My first person shooter. I hate FPS's but the storyline/gameplay was intriguing.
KOTR I&2-Great storyline.
Fable-Nothing like a game w/ smart asses with a Cockney accent.
PS2
Final Fantasy XII- I bought the console specifically for this game. Fucking awesome.
Final Fantasy X- Even better. Storylines keep me interested in any game.
Final Fantasy X-2-I'm probably gay for finishing that game. Still. It was a sequel.
God of War-The only game I've ever played where I would spend 20x times failing at one fucking level. It was that good or I wouldn't have finished.
God of War 2- Spent 20 minutes, got pissed off, and gave it away.
Xbox360
Fallout 2- Fucking awesome. Got tired of it though and couldn't finish the add-ons.
Mass Effect- The only FPS I've ever actually enjoyed. Halo kicked my ass.
Fable 2-Nothing like a game where you can fuck a hooker and buy her a house.
I love playing games when tasked w/ a lot of downtime. My ass is ADHD and sometimes need an interactive "escape" to stay focused.

My eyes glaze over with that game. I have zero interest, and no time. But I have 2 friends who are into it. One happens to be a former professional card counter and a practicing M.D. He's a smart man. But his primary addiction is Starcraft, and so he treats it like an addiction and he's in a twelve step program. He won't even watch the gameplay when my other buddy tries to entice him. Or he'll start thinking about it, and get back into it. He finds it that hard to control. He has a much easier time being disciplined with the card playing. And he lives in Atlantic City, NJ.
