If I didn't know any better, I'd think every single girl out there is being raped and it's the most serious problem in America today.

Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, 7 and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, ‘Come to bed with me!’
8 But he refused. ‘With me in charge,’ he told her, ‘my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?’ 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even to be with her.
11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, ‘Come to bed with me!’ But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.
13 When she saw that he had left his cloak in her hand and had run out of the house, 14 she called her household servants. ‘Look,’ she said to them, ‘this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed. 15 When he heard me scream for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house.’
16 She kept his cloak beside her until his master came home. 17 Then she told him this story: ‘That Hebrew slave you brought us came to me to make sport of me. 18 But as soon as I screamed for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house.’
19 When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, ‘This is how your slave treated me,’ he burned with anger. 20 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.

The Drama Triangle
It seems likely that Potiphar’s wife had assumed a victim position to Potiphar as her persecutor (whether real or imagined). She may even feel that Joseph himself (in his new friendship with her husband) has taken away power and influence from her. Into this power-game Joseph is catapulted.
So in the eyes of Potiphar’s wife, Joseph begins as the golden boy, the hero (or rescuer). Seeking to get her own back on her ‘persecutor’ husband, Potiphar’s wife in the position of victim then decides to express this tension by seducing Joseph – a hero to rescue her. As with any situation where ‘triangling‘ is likely to occur (i.e. a person expressing the tension in a relationship with another towards a third person), the key issue is how that third person will respond. Joseph remains resolute and resists the advances of Potiphar’s wife. He defines his own position clearly, but this rejection causes deep bitterness in Potiphar’s wife. She is not getting her esteem from God. Eventually, after repeated rejection, she becomes vengeful. She begins to see herself as a victim of Joseph as well. Suddenly, the triangle shifts. She turns on her hero. She starts to see Joseph as her persecutor, and has him accused of rape.

Et tu, Daniel Craig?

How easy is it to forget that delusion is of old date.
Every age has its bugbears, hysterias, and obsessions.
And these hysterias can affect even (or especially) intelligent people. Consider that King James I of England, a highly intelligent man, published a book on demonology in 1597, in which he approved of the practice of rooting out witches and demons (see photo).
The real question to be asked is: to what purpose is the rape hysteria being used?
And the answer is: to subjugate men further, to destroy their self-confidence, and to crush any remaining vestige of masculine power in the US.
Make no mistake. We are being attacked relentlessly, and need to see this rape hysteria as a tool of male subjugation. The power system here finds it useful to keep an arsenal of weapons of sufficient vagueness and indefinability that they can be used flexibly whenever and wherever needed.

And the beauty of using "rape" as the bludgeon against men is that, like the communist scares of the 1950s, it can mean whatever the power system wants it to mean.

QC, a couple of comments on this:
1. The rape hysteria occurring right now is far, far worse than anything that happened in the US in the '50s. People like to talk about "communist scares" as if it was some form of collective insanity, but the reality is that the USSR was indeed a dangerous and sworn enemy of the US and the West; and further, as has been increasingly admitted since then, most people accused of being Communist sympathizers were in fact exactly that -- intellectuals who at the very least sympathized with the Communist ideology, and very often were in fact eager to collaborate with the NKVD and betray their own country. And the worst that happened to them was that their political or entertainment careers were derailed -- as they probably should have been. They also always retained the sympathy and support of the leftist intellectual class and were therefore far from marginalized.
By contrast, the current rape hysteria is completely made up out of the whole cloth -- rape, always a rare crime, has never been rarer, and women in the US have never been safer than they are now. And the victims of false accusations are often thrown in prison or at the very least have their lives and reputations ruined -- with no one but a tiny manosphere community to lend them the least moral support. It is a truly terrible situation.
2. There is no need to invoke a vague "power structure" to understand who is driving the rape hysteria -- we know exactly who is behind it, namely, the feminist/progressive academic, legal and media elites. Nothing about this is in the least hidden; it is easy to name names and put faces to them. The academics, professors in various social studies departments in universities across the US, set the framing and the discourse; legal scholars translate it into legislative and judicial strategies; and sympathetic media propagandize and sway public opinion. And all this is done not for some vague illuminati reasons, but in the service of a misandrist, nihilistic and ultimately anti-human ideology that these people truly subscribe to. The "climate change" hysteria can be understood in the same way, and is propagated by some of the same people (with some variation) and for essentially the same reasons.
The whole thing is only possible, of course, because of the shameful acquiescence of men throughout this country and the west in general, who have bought into a toxic ideology of demoralization and guilt -- guilt about themselves as men who have supposedly subjugated and violated the female, and as human beings who have supposedly subjugated and violated Mother Earth (there is really very little difference between these two concepts in their philosophical and emotional core). Until men stop believing these lies and refuse to be demoralized by them, these hysterias will continue and grow worse.
